Ha ha Freaki - missed the WC reference first time around, you just can't the staff these days can you?!?!? Grin

North Creake - I know it well! We spend lots of holidays in Burnham Overy Staithe as my PIL's have a place there. It's gorgeous, a lovely village, it will be worth all the effort of packing and getting ready!!! Ooo, I am very Envy now. We won't get there at half term, unfortunately, normally we would. Roll on Easter!

One of the Creakes, it might be South Creak has a great playground next to a very little river and there are usually ducks crossing the road. Very very sweet!

I have run out of steam

DS won't eat anything :( I think he's got a sore throat and he says everything he tries to eat is making him cough - which it is. Poor little chap, not sure what to do with him. Bloody typical that my parents are away this weekend otherwise we could have a home visit from a Dr without faffing with appointments! Grin

FreakoidOrganisoid · 11/02/2011 13:58

Certainly can't anon Grin

Though I am a little bit annoyed with him (really) anyway at the moment. After stuff happened he and gf had a big row and cleared the air and he moved back there, didn't tell me for a few days. So after he did tell me I was actually fine with it and tried to give him some space to work things out with her...but he kept texting and calling and asking if he could come over. Then he came while my sister was here and brought me a present Hmm which kind of made me feel like he was trying to keep me hanging on...

Saw him 10 days later (so fri last week) and he said he and gf had had a huge fight again and she had told him he was moving out. Also that it was upsetting his kids so they wouldn't be staying at their house with him anymore and he'd have to stay at his nans instead. Told me he and gf hadn't spoken all week and he was staying at his brother's that night and at his nans with the kids Saturday.

Then monday when he gave me a lift we chatted about the weekend and he just casually dropped into conversation that he'd had to leave his brother's before the rugby finished on fri because they had to get her ds home for bed-so she and ds had gone to his brother's with him. And also his kids stayed at theirs Saturday...

So I'm just a bit annoyed, feel like he is using me to offload onto and he comes and sees me, we have a good chat and it acts as a plaster or whatever so that he then goes and works things out with gf. IYSWIM. And honestly, I'm really not entertaining hopes that he and I will get together but I think it is unfair of him to keep coming and telling me that he and gf are splitting up but then never actually doing it and the next time just casually talking about stuff they've done together. I don't feel like he is considering my feelings at all really.

Rant over! But annoyed is good right? Better than pining after him because he really doesn't deserve that!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 11/02/2011 14:00

Sorry Blush Now I'm offloading on you much as he does on me!

Anonymousbird · 11/02/2011 14:47

Freaki, you should be annoyed. It's very difficult because obviously you like the guy and he clearly likes you too, but he is not being best towards you with this constant change, come to you, off load to you, then back again and everything.. he is being selfish and not considerate at all of how all this and his too-ing and fro-ing would make you feel.

You need to tell him that, if you can? Firm but fair and all that. Rant away, lady, I think you are entirely entitled. Hmmm.

That's ok Freaki. It sounds as if he needs a kick. It is obviously great for him to have such an understanding and attractive woman around, lots of pluses for him. Annoyed /angry even, is good, if channelled in the right direction( aim it at the sink Grin).

My new washer has arrived YEY.

Although I had to forgo waitrose for its arrival. So no food. Thats take away then.

Weekend off.... then Vienna.
can't be botheres to list. Its all Blah blah anyway. Usual stuff, and nothing done.
Will pull myself together after hols.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 11/02/2011 15:58

Freak - he is behaving like an arse, he really is. Vastly disrespectful to you and his GF, not to mention how unsettling it must all be for all the children involved. Definitely don't pine for him, you deserve someone who will treat you properly.
I am quite :( and Angry on your behalf actually, stupid man.

Mini - yay for washing machine. At least you can take clean clothes on hols with you now Wink
I think we might be looking at takeaway here actually, DH isn't going to be done with work for another couple of hours at least and my risotto is nowhere near as good as his, so perhaps we will have indian and he can cook tomorrow instead.

Anon - go on, you can open it.

DS is in bed fast asleep, he drunk some milk and ate half a biscuit, there is definitely something the matter.

Yes Ali I am quite looking forward to washing. Have just been rubbing clothes in the dirt for the past 6 monthsGrin

minimammoth · 11/02/2011 16:17

Oh and yes Freaki. Where is Alice??
Hope she is well, on holiday maybe?

Anonymousbird · 11/02/2011 16:41

Thanks Ali!!

And Alice - hope she is ok, sure she will be back soon!

Actually, did she go on holiday??

OP posts:
FreakoidOrganisoid · 11/02/2011 16:41

Yes he is being an arse! I feel sorry for his dc too, and it's such a shame because he is an excellent father in every other way Sad

Next time he wants to use me as a sounding board I think I will say something because I am annoyed with it now. Not sure how to say it though Confused

Yay for washing machine mini Grin And for holiday. I was invited on a girls holiday this afternoon, by some mums I had barely spoken to before Saturday night. So I can't have been that annoying if they have decided they like me after getting to know me in that state! Don't think I will be able to go though, too many weddings/hen do's/30ths for funds to stretch

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 12/02/2011 11:23

Morning :)

Lovely sleep last night, only woke once really and DH whisked DS away this morning so I slept until 10am!
We had a nightmare getting DS settled last night, up and down the stairs in relays like he was 4 months old again and eventually DH took him out in the car which worked for a bit and then he woke again - poor mite wasn't properly settled until about 11.30 but he did then sleep until 7.30am so at least he had a chunk of sleep.

Freak - how about 'you are taking the piss and upsetting me', as an opening gambit? Let's him know how you feel! Grin

I need a little list today

TO DO
Take DS to the park
Strip wash nappies
Fold all clean washing
Post pre-school form
Find baby cardigans and shawl so that I can wash them
Pack basic bag for hospital
Book cinema tickets for Friday

minimammoth · 12/02/2011 13:39

Am in love. The washer is up and running. Scrambling around house for any remnants to wash. (saddo emoticon)
Waves to everyone. have a good weekend.

minimammoth · 12/02/2011 13:39

Ah we have tea Brew

FreakoidOrganisoid · 12/02/2011 15:04

Make me a cup mini Grin

My house is an absolute tip today Blush Had a very lazy morning, then went to a birthday party and we have another party at 4. The dc are watching cbeebies for a bit so really I could be doing something useful. But I'm not!

Minimum I need to do is:
Get clothes off airers and put away
Hoover
Washing up
Wipe round kitchen
Clean handprints off patio door and mirror

Think if I get those bits done it will look 100x better

FreakoidOrganisoid · 12/02/2011 15:29

Ali I keep clicking on that sadagain thread you've posted on and typing responses and then thinking I should just take my own advice! It's so much easier to tell other people what to do than to actually do it yourself though! Not exactly the same situation but some similarities I think.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 13/02/2011 15:14

Are you all having a very lazy weekend???

In a (PMT Fuelled) frenzy I have:

Taken everything off the front of the fridge and cleaned it

Taken everything off the top of the fridge and cleaned it

Cleaned the inside of the fridge and chucked a few bits

Adjusted the legs of fridge so it no longer tilts (I only moved in 14 months ago after all Blush)

Moved fridge out and swept/mopped underneath it

Sorted everything before putting back on fridge.

Then inspired by finding 25 colouring pencils underneath the fridge I also

Sorted dd's desk
Sorted the pens/crayons/pencils
Sorted the sticker/colouring books
Sorted the paints
Sorted the craft stuff

Then ds started crying that he was hungry so I remembered to feed my children lunch(at 2.30 Blush)

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 13/02/2011 15:44
