Am V tired today.... Really busy at work...everything is in Chaos in anticipation of new ward opening mid Feb...no-one knows whats happening, they havent recruited enough Drs (meaning I will end up having to cover LOADS Hmm) and general state of paninc is setting in LOL
I keep trying to ignore it all and just carry on , but is getting harder as panic level keeps rising!

Anyway...DS seems to be quite settled with new Nanny this week which is fab! I am still working on her cooking skills...and she needs a bit of coaching in laundry ( the use of a tumble dryer in particular Confused!) But othe rthan that its going fairly well!

Have managed a 3 1/2 mile run which was good...

DH in foul mood...and has been for days...not helpful Hmm

anyway...need to go reboot the laundry...BBtomorrow Grin

Makingchanges · 25/01/2011 19:52

Iphone is fab - But I was only 'allowed' if I sold my ipod touch and phone - but I couldn't wait so bought it first - Cross your fingers they sell girls Blush

Wendy I of course ment nap and not name earlier - need to learn to check before posting.

OFM glad your DS is getting used to nanny - Hope job doesn't get too stressful.

Scatty - very productive. Well Done

I upset DH last night. Told him that our friend thinks that he has 'changed' since I meet him. He has and I think he took it bad so I'm going to have to have a night off work tonight to make sure he is ok and not still grumpy!!

OFM oh dear, but at least you are in a good mood, two parents in a bad mood is too much!
It sounds like you are much needed at work.

Scatty today ds1 does Athletics after school and walks home by himself, it is soo peaceful (if not v. productive Grin

Dh seems to be still in a good mood, despite chaos. Hmm Possibly Dunkirk spirit..who knows Smile

MC yes, hope dh appreciates being cherished Smile

Wendy hope dd is as good as baby tonight.

swanriver · 26/01/2011 17:18

oldtimers...do you think we should all meet on the Fledgling thread from now on...I know everyone has a lot on, and perhaps it would be better to be part of a larger thread? I'm sure you would settle in very quickly...
It is perfectly cosy there, especially after the New Year resolutions subsided Wink and as I mentioned once before quite a lot of kindred spirits, which make it easier to post as much or as little as one wishes..

Makingchanges · 26/01/2011 17:24

Evening all

Hi Swan - I'll go with what everyone else wants - although I quite like 'knowing' everyone here is you see what I mean.

Bit of a mixed day today - School visit and lecture cancelled but still ended up travelling to uni Hmm

DD has made homemade pizzas for her and DHs tea (not sure what DH will make of this as he is on a health kick) she is very pleased with herself.

I have done quite a bit of uni work - shopping, tidied up kitchen again and desk area and done some washing.

Now need to write an e-mail to uni, more uni work and put bins out

Hope you are all well

wendyhappysmile · 26/01/2011 18:31

Hi all
I'm fine with whatever thread, as long as all my Flyfriends are there!

OP posts:
OverflowingMum · 26/01/2011 19:04

evening all
swan this thread is dwindling a bit really isn't it...but I wouldnt want to loose you FLYfriends...but would be fine if we all de-camped to fledgelings...though I may struggle to keep up with individuals on larger thread...

wendy how you doing?

mc hope pizza was gratefully received LOL

well....have has not the best couple of days...some really difficult stuff going on with a couple of the patients at work...plus all the organisational chaos...plus it is only now dawning on those higher up that they wont have enough Drs as of next week (yep, I've been telling you this for weeks....) and all is just V stressful...
Then am trying to co-ordinate lots of paper work (tax, payslips and chilcare vouchers etc) for Nanny...whilst tactfully instructing her in the use of the tumble dryer and how to make a bolognese....sigh...

Am quite tired by it all...

BUT have now finished work till Monday...am planning nice chilled catch up day with ds2 tomorrow...
DH seems in marginally improved mood tonight...

And I have poured a glass of wine Blush and it isnt even Friday...sigh

BBtomorrow ready to FLY !

Starbear · 27/01/2011 09:49

Morning all
OFM Ying and Yang of having an interesting job is that the stress often goes with it. I'm very bored at work now but.....I can answer thephone at 4.45pm and still be out the door at 5pm in the old job if I picked up the phone I knew it would mean being at work until 10pm and then a HUGE list for the next working day with juggling childcare.
Glad the Nanny is working out, she can add cooking and laundry skills to her C.V when you've trained her up.
swan we have to meet up before we fly to another thread. Not sure I can keep up with everyone on another thread but I'll go with the flow. How about e-mailing me on this system and we will fix a date then see if anyone else can join us?
MC Can cope with anymore new technology still have to figure out why we can't get two remotes playing on the wii. We haven't played with it since Christmas!

Scatty Love the sound of a productive hour,if only that was all we needed. [bconfused]
Right back in a Mo with a list.

Starbear · 27/01/2011 10:19

Right I have stopped going on pointless threads and now going to post a list.
W/M on Done
Now
E-mail to a local counciller
Bits and food shopping
W/M on as many times as possible
Make the beds
Clean trainers going to run walk with another Mum tomorrow following OFM's lead
1 hour tidy

Sort our MY Social LIFE TONIGHT
see ya laters [bsmile]

OverflowingMum · 27/01/2011 13:08

afternoon all

star you are right about the job...it is v interesting, and that does come with stress!
good luck with your run

have had a reasonable morning....

DC all too school with required extra food/drinks/spots kit etc...for various extra activities!
Was quite impressed with myself as teacher was prowling playground getting parents to sign consent forms for trip that they had forgotten to return, and for once I had sent mine back on time LOL

Then popped to Morrisons for a couple of things...and had nice cofee in cafe whilst DS2 had a drink and a Lion Bun LOL

Have then mostly been playing with ds2...
Did also go for nice (cold) walk with the dog...
Have also done on-line banking and ordered big on-line grocery shop for tomorrow
and have done lunch and ds2 now napping ..(fingers crossed!)

Now going to chill for a bit...then need to reboot laundry and do some quick downstairs tidying and swee and hoover floors...

Tonight we (DH and I) are going to DD1 and 2 concert at the Arena...so need to be organised for babysitter...

right, off for a cuppa...BBL Grin

swanriver · 27/01/2011 13:43

I can see no-one is going to budge whilst there is life on this thread Grin

Starbear Friday 11th at Kew or else 3rd or 4th March? Dd is having four teeth extracted on Ist so that week is out, and second half of Feb is half term and Friday 18th I have an appt. Or meet in Kew over half term, but I'm not quite sure what my plans are then so that's a bit more unpredicatable.

busy morning so far visiting SIL baby and dealing with builder [another piece of advice - never discuss anything with builder - give instructions and depart Grin

swanriver · 28/01/2011 11:47

sorry star I really have gone to other thread now..
just to say, ds2 8 is only consistently not wetting bed this year, and still does every fortnight. It is annoyingly normal. Dd only grew out at 6-7 and needed to be lifted at 10-11pm. I know people say this makes things worse - I'm not sure, but have you tried lifting, if all else has failed?
My littlest brother was a bedwetter, but that was every every night and he slept incredibly deeply, and only grew out at 12, but I think that was a gene rather than a phase.

Starbear · 28/01/2011 13:27

Thanks Swan I'll have to move over to that thread too, I suppose I'll get used to it Confused
Thanks also for the support re bedwetting. I think it is a gene thing with him as my sister and brother were the same. I thank God, I've got a washing machine and dryer.
Also the support of my sister who gives me an idea what's it's like to be a kid that wets the bed over and above the normal age.
Lifting hasn't helped him sometimes I think it makes it worse in his case. Don't read the book 'Ugly' I think all of the author's abuse from her Mother is based around her bedwetting. I only read the second half as my friend told me the first bit and I just wanted to know how she became a barrister Horses for courses Smile I'll pop over next week to the other thread Smile

Starbear · 28/01/2011 13:35

Tea break nearly over but I just need to do this...
Load W/M done
make fish pie almost
Clean downstairs Loo done
make beds done
Clean bathroom Very deep clean done
Now to
Swimming stuff in bag & stuff to give a friend
Finish making Fish pie OFM I'm at the white sauce phase Smile
