Welcome to the November Fledgling Flying thread.

From the 1st of the month we shall be decluttering and taming the chaos using baby steps, missions and zones. A great big thank you to MrsDinky who looked after us last month.

We are not strict followers of the fat fairy and take some of the babysteps wearing shoes indoors with a pinch of salt. Also advise against signing up for the fairy's emails.

All are welcome, jump on board for one of our three methods of chaos attack:

  1. Baby steps
  2. Baby steps and 15mins decluttering in current zone
  3. Re-inforce the baby steps and daily mission

This month the fat fairy is gearing up for the feastive period. So I shall also post the christmas mission for those who wish are brave enough to look.

In here the motto is:

*"No perfection! Do what you can, but be realistic about what you can do."

Happy flying.

just posted on your other thread Bob, lots of love xxx

Dartsonwednesdays · 15/11/2010 19:40

Hi all,

Was planning to come back tonight and let you know I've managed to free up some time at last, it's been a hectic couple of weeks (or so, lost track a bit). As I've just seen (and posted) onto Bob's thread it just doesn't seem right to be so cheery in the face of what they must be going through.

I'll catch up with you all, probably tomorrow, but just to say part of my problem has been I have the only PC, and have spent oodles of time trying to source and buy some things off the net for my mum and dad. With a cold that left me tired out, plus a load of emergency meetings as a school governor, leaving very little time to come and socialise....

systemsaddict · 15/11/2010 21:26

Posted on Bob's thread, how scary for her, hope things improve tonight. Don't really feel like posting lists tonight but have spent time decluttering in both kids' rooms (mainly in order to report it back here!) and have found the floor in one of them. Getting routines sorted again too - found a large poster with routines written on blu-tacked to my kitchen wall which I had become completely blind to over the last few months.

elliepac · 15/11/2010 21:30

Evening all,

Sorry I have been away so long. Was going to pop on and post some inane chit chat but have seen bob's thread so that doesn't really seem to matter now. Sad. Will be back tomorrow with aforementioned inane excuses chit chat. I have missed you ladies the last week or so.

All thoughts and prayers are with bob.

MrsDinky · 15/11/2010 21:49

There are times when chat seems just too frivolous, tonight is one of them, Bob we are all thinking of you.

Also PA, thinking of you as you recover.

I haven't actually done a lot of Flying today in any case

NettieSnowBalls · 15/11/2010 22:05

bob again all my thoughts and wishes to you. Take extra special care of you. xxx

optimisticmumma · 15/11/2010 22:14

Hi all - lots of love and prayers for your DD Bob . Hope you are recovering well PA.
See you all in the morning...

Toffeefudgecake · 16/11/2010 01:33

Was also going to post an inane list before going to bed, but it seems irrelevant now.

Bob - Thinking of you tonight.

MiniMarmite · 16/11/2010 08:45

I am sitting here in my dressing gown having had a shower after a very half hearted effort at the gym. Want to to some gardening, but it's so cold, so have decided to blitz the kitchen instead.

MrsD Thanks for organising the card - I meant to say count me in. Smile

Sylvia Good luck this afternoon!

Bob Still thinking of you and your DD.

Well, the house has somehow descended into chaos despite the fact that we were away over the weekend and out most of yesterday. Managed to get very little done this morning (other than washing my hair and making 50 chicken nuggets), so must make an effort this afternoon. DS has a friend over so I'm hoping that will keep him out of my hair; however, DD2 is very upset that DS is playing with his friend rather than her, so I've promised I'll help her with the latest CBeebies magazine that my parents sent over. So my 5 minute room rescues have been put on hold for the time being. I'm hoping that one day I'll manage to fly with the DC around... Can now hear screaming and quarrelling coming from the cellar; flying is looking less likely by the minute.

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/11/2010 15:00

i had a long list of stuff to be done for this evening and it is not going to plan. will be back later. hopefully before it gets too late.

Stillconfounded · 16/11/2010 16:00

Bob have posted on other thread. We are all behind you. Hang in there.

Good to see you Ellie and Darts and waves to everyone else.

House still a pit.

Must get back to it.

Dartsonwednesdays · 16/11/2010 16:31

Hello all, and especially bob, I posted on t'other thread.

I think it may take a day or two to catch up with the latest incarnation of peoples names!

Haven't done much today apart from usual routines. I'm just getting back into the swing of things. Can't say it was any one thing that caused me to "disappear" but more an accumulation of stuff that needed sorting.

Had a big pain in helping mum to sort travel insurance for her and dad; they're both over 65 and both have/have had various medical issues and are travelling to the US early next month for a friend's 90th birthday party. Short story is that friend is now getting frail and family would really like mum & dad there to celebrate, and so clubbed their air miles together to get mum and dad there for a few days.

Told mum to make sure she took pics, and am hoping school photos come back in time for mum to take some with her.

Will be back tomorrow t post lists again, but tonight will:

evening routine
tea (whatever's in the fridge)
work clothes
school clothes
curl up on sofa with DP to watch a programme we like.
And then to bed! No late nights for a while, til I catch up on sleep!
