Can someone PLEASE slap me. Hard.

I am being so stupid, am missing getting the very messages from wc that I told him he wasn't allowed to send me anymore Hmm

Annoyed with myself!

Been at dd's friend's house most of the day so not much been done. Friend was trying to get me to call her bil for another date, if he calls me I might but am not going to ask him out when I already know I'm not really bothered (friend though lovely is of the opinion it's better to be paired up any old how than single)

Grin anon. Just slap me then.

Dunno, think it was just nice to have the attention before and to get messages saying he was missing me or thinking about me. I know if we are going to be friends then he absolutely can't send me messages like that but I'm still missing them. Just being pathetic really!

JustKeepSparkling · 26/10/2010 18:46

Alice - you are getting loads done!

Welcome Comtessa, tell us more about the new house?

Phew, the friend who came round is fine but her girls are such messmakers! and that's saying something with the usual hordes i'm used to having round. They seem very clumsy and just walk all over toys on the floor all the time instead of around them. drives me ever so slightly crazy!!!

Freak - I can understand you feeling like that, a bit of 'patheticness' as you call it is allowed every now and again [hgrin]

JKS - I find having other kids over a complete nightmare, and it is worse if their parents are here too. My friend's DD and DS are 'best friends' and can play together really nicely, but other times Shock. The other morning she was here but without her Mum, and she was so much better behaved - no histrionics when she didn't get her own way or stropping - quite an eye-opener!

Hello comtessa :)

DH cooked us yummy dinner and now he's putting DS in the bath. I am shattered despite my nap earlier, can't wait to go to bed!

Sheets into the wash
Clear up from dinner
Tidy living room
Run hoover round
Sleep

JustKeepSparkling · 26/10/2010 21:03

Freak - i agree with Ali, and it's always lovely to have some nice attention so of course you miss it.

Ali - it's true the older one was so much better behaved when she was left here before without her mum. And tbh DS1 plays really nicely with lots of other kids but not at all well with this girl, never has. makes life difficult.

I have had a bit of a surge of energy so kitchen is spotless (ignore the floor) and living room is tidy and hoovered.
DH and I remembered over dinner that tomorrow is our wedding anniversary BlushGrin Neither of us has done anything about it, so he's just been to Sainsbury's and bought steak and yummy puddings to have for dinner tomorrow. We aren't going to worry about cards. Grin

dd2 is the only one in school tomorrow and has to be in fancy dress, so will be up earlish to hunt her pink leggins, for under her pirate costume, out of washing mountain

anonymousbrainsnatcher · 27/10/2010 08:44

Plum - posting at 4am?!?!?!?!? Good luck with the cake.

comtessa · 27/10/2010 09:04

ROFL to knitted boobs! Am only doing the NHS antenatal classes and haven't come across one yet! Could it be used afterwards as some kind of small tea caddy? Grin

Thanks for the welcome, am a compulsive list maker but somehow seems more accountable to post online rather that just have it in my notepad.

Re. new house - Victorian terrace which we bought off a developer, so good condition throughout and also magnolia throughout - some painting to be done to brighten things up. Garden needs a lot of work, but thankfully is small and there is a huge park near us where I can take DD (once she's arrived and starts being interested in swings etc!).

Today
Finish review of last night's ballet
Get dressed and walk to community centre
Spend morning as volunteer at cafe
En route home buy food for dinner
Take nap if needed (36 weeks and HUGE! Also late night last night)
Call MIL
Fit lock
Tidy downstairs and do washing up ss friends round this evening
Make dinner
If time, do more to sort out bedroom. Tricky when no wardrobe so just shuffling piles of clothes around the room, really. Roll on DH's next payday and Ikea trip!

Other
Put black shelves together
Letter reclaiming bank charges
Thank-you letter to MIL's friend Wanda
Research where sells tinned pumpkin

Eek at your late-night baking/icing pbm! Hope you get everything done.

Hope the sun is shining where listmakers are - beautiful here today!

Comtessa - sounds lovely! And how pg are you, 2 of us on here are due in April, i'm 15weeks now. :)

Knitted boobs do sound ridiculous! We have a baby-sized dolly to help with positioning. And loads of free breastpads, etc. We were forced to watch a video once - ex-supporter woman was a tad ott Hmm

Woke at 4.30 (Plum you mad woman!) then DS2 woke at 5, grr.
Have had a long bath to try and stay positive about the day.
