Should be sisterly wave Hmm stupid keyboard

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/10/2010 10:52

Three times I have clicked on thread now, and three times I have clicked on active instead of add a message Angry Not having a great morning so far tbh!

Firstly got up late, then realised bin lorry was at the end of the road and I hadn't put rubbish out so raced to do that, cut my thumb badly on food bin, didn't realise how badly until I dripped blood on dd's cereal, had to get her a fresh bowl etc. Then went to get medicine box down from cupboard to get a plaster but knocked a bottle of calpol out of cupboard which landed on a bowl and sent that crashing to the floor where it smashed.

Have friend coming to stay later, luckily not the sort of friend I need to clean for! Not much decent food in the house so think will go to pub or get chinese for dinner.

Most of my dc's stuff is hand me down too, even pants which some people are funny about.

minimammoth · 15/10/2010 11:02

All for recycling clothes, me and my friends used to pass clothes back and forward with our dcs all being 6 months or so apart.
Have just got cute pinafore for DGD1 from local dress agnecy. It just makes sense. As a granny I feel that I can then splash out on something I know mum would not buy.
Sorry your having a bit of a 'morning' Freak, best watch out for those Ninja peas again.Grin

AliceandtheGinormousBaps · 15/10/2010 11:06

crap morning freak Sad hopefully your friend will cheer you up [as well as the pub/chinese Grin ]

must go and put this baby in his basket and make an early lunch....

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/10/2010 11:10

I am hoping she chooses pub because you can get 2 meals for £10 Blush

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 15/10/2010 11:37

Morning :) I am better, hurrah! The house is a pit though so I need to do some serious tidying, and DS and I must go out for a walk even if it's just to the post box to get some fresh air after being stuck inside for days. We are away this weekend too so need to get started on some packing later.

I need to look at ebay for stuff for DS this Christmas. I am dreadful for being really disorganised and then suddenly realising I don't have time to wait to bid on things and them turn up, so I end up ordering everything online brand new, although I never pay full price for anything.

Freak - I love a bargain meal out! Grin

Alice - tell me about it. I have a huge washing machine and matching dryer, they both take a 9kg load rather than the 4/5kg standard and I still can't keep up with it.

Talk to me about dusty bathrooms everyone. Mine gets a layer over it so quickly, I am forever wiping and rinsing in there - any tips?

DONE
Nappies on to wash
Kitchen bin emptied and cleaned
DS up and dressed
Breakfast (in bed, thank you DH Grin)
DH to work
Lovely long shower and pampery scrubbing
Fold some clean washing and put it in airing cupboard
Sing rock-a-bye baby to DS 10 times at his request Hmm

TO DO
Go round and gather up cups/glasses etc and run dishwasher
Go round and gather up wrinkled apple cores that DS has left in EVERY room!
Lunch - I am so hungry I could eat the entire contents of the fridge!
Walk to post box to post SIL's birthday card
General tidying

Ali - get a grey bathroom! Our old bathroom was grey and i never noticed the dust Grin

Freak - just say to her "come on, lets get dinner at the pub" no questions Grin

My 'intelligent' daughter is eating paint

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/10/2010 11:46

Yes my bathroom may be minging but it doesn't look too dusty so if you don't fancy grey perhaps orange pine would appeal Grin Oh and also fluffy towels give off more dust-fact. Convert yourself to crispy towels (a la freak) and your bathroom will be less dusty (and you can exfoliate as you dryWink)

Am having christmas present dilemma, thought about getting the dc kidizoom cameras but then thought no too expensive. But have now seen them in the boots 3 for 2 so I need to decide on a 3rd thing, probably ds' birthday present which is also december. Am having real problems choosing, obviously want something similarly expensive so the free thing is a better deal Grin

Freak that is a crap morning, dd2 is getting a kidizoom, but they are £39.99 in Toys r us & Smyths so just be careful what price you pay in Boots,
And if you sign up to a goldcard in toys r us they send you out loads of coupons, so I have £5 off if I spend over £30 and £5 off cameras (dd1 wants a proper camera)

I will check what vouchers I have, see if I have any extra

I have been baking all morning for a cake sale tomorrow for ds's football team, my house is like a ticking bomb

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 15/10/2010 14:14

Kiddizoom are on Amazon for £35 at the moment.

We clearly have the wrong colour of bathroom - it was put in just before we moved in and is very nice, but white and cream really shows the dust!!

Have had a major flop post-lunch. DS is really tired as well so I think naptime for him.

DONE
Nappies on to wash
Kitchen bin emptied and cleaned

Have managed to file all bank statements and bin a load of old ones. But feeling weak ( mops brow)now I have weeded through the rest of the bills, need a sit down and cake.

JustKeepSwimming · 15/10/2010 14:59

Mini - i had a doughnut already but cake sounds good.

Re those kidizooms, DS1 got one for his birthday and although he loves the idea of it he hardly uses it, it's actually quite hard to use and he finds my iphone or any normal digi camera much easier, so maybe worth considering 2 cheapish proper ones instead (admittedly not so bump-proof).

Cake - wishful thinking. Only virtual cake.
However have now made buns for DGD. God I need a mixer. Might have to sample one, quality control of course Grin
Virtual cake has less calories however. So hands cake round - Anyone try this? large slice of chocolate cake with lovely dense choc filling and maybe choc on top for extra chocci-ness. Too much choc do you think?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 15/10/2010 16:33

I have just eaten some chocolate cake - real rather than virtual - and it has given me heartburn. I am only 17 weeks, how can this be fair? :(

Mini - get thee a Kenwood Chef, I luuurve mine, it is useful for all sorts of things. I would never bake or make anything if I had to do it by hand I don't think!

I have done nothing this afternoon, feeling really tired and a bit yucky still. Pizza for tea, an improvement on last night's toast! :)
