Morning!

Alice, getting out of the house when you can sounds very sensible.

In true slattern style we have slept in a bit late and there are no dry trousers for DS, so we can't go to playgroup. Blush

Right, I really do have a lot to do, as tomorrow we are at a wedding.

  • shower and dress done
  • breakfast done
  • get DS dressed when trousers are dry
  • dry pots
  • find DH tie
  • wash DH shirt (not going to wash DS trousers in case they shrink as they would be too tight Grin)
  • try and get more washing dry
  • tidy, sort and dust in front room
  • tidy, sort and dust in front room

And that will do for now.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/10/2010 10:21

Morning everyone :)

Oh dear Wasting - we have days like that sometimes!

JKS - I smiled at the nappy changing :) I think it's pretty normal at that age for 'Drs and nurses' or similar to get a bit out of hand! What are school saying about it?

Got my list done yesterday, and am actually not feeling quite so knackered.

Lie in this morning, DS didn't wake up until gone 9. All I've done is have a shower and eat breakfast, well two breakfasts actually - one in bed first thing watching the golf (I know, but I love Ryder Cup) and another with DS about half an hour ago.
Very lazy day today, it is pouring with rain here so no going out. Might summon the energy to run the hoover round upstairs later.

DONE
Shower and dressed
Breakfast
Ocado here

TO DO
Unload dishwasher
Put away the shopping
Hoover downstairs

That will do for now.

As part of my 'get my self organised' gig I checked through the bank statements for the last couple of months to find that 3 have not taken the DD I set up in July aaaaarrrgh! So the dongle was inactive. Ring 3 to get it sorted and they passed me through a few people and cut me off. Finally got through to someone and they took the details for the DD. Then told me that the debt had been passed on to a DCA, but we have had no info about this. They connected me to the DCA and apparantly the debt has been passed back to 3. So I have taken a note of the name of the lady I spoke to and the time I spoke to her and await further developments from 3.

Mini, glad BIL is a bit better. Hope he improves quickly.

anonymousbird · 01/10/2010 10:56

Mini - hope BIL is ok - sorry, I must have missed your message first time around yesterday... everything crossed that he responds well.

Imaslattern - when/where you hoping to go camping? What crap with 3 - all that kind of stuff is soo annoying, and so time consuming and stressful to get straightened out. Not best use of time eh?

Gutted that the Ryder Cup has been suspended due to the rain. Boo hoo. I remember so well, 6 years ago, DS was a week or two old and I sat on the sofa for the whole 3 days basically, just cuddling, feeding, cuddling, doing not a lot else with DS and DH and watched every pitch, putt and ball of it. Actually got really into it, so now I love it!

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/10/2010 11:14

Mini sounds promising wrt BIL, hope he is ok. How awful for it to happen on hols (well at all really but you know what I mean)

Now, when you said "take hotty" on your list did you mean a hot water bottle or an attractive man?? Grin

Happy birthday anon

Have a nice weekend words.

My day has gone to shit really, was supposed to be going to a friend's today but that got cancelled then another friend was going to come here instead but isn't due to rain. Still wc has promised to come and make me a bacon sandwich for lunch so as long as that doesn't fall through as well then it's not all bad. And my house is pretty clean and have shopping coming later.

JustKeepSwimming · 01/10/2010 11:50

Happy birthday Anon :)

Mini - sounds scary but at least he's ok at the moment.

Thanks for all your good wishes for BIL. Sil is going home tomorrow (they live in Canada)so i think he has some big life changes to look at mostly re diet, it has also brought their relationship up front.
Hotty definitely hot water bottle, not hot man. Not sure I could cope with a hot man Grinnearly added at my age{grin]
Happy birthday Nonybird, smile with those sparkly teeth.Envy

anonymousbird · 01/10/2010 12:19

Thanks!!! Smiling hard through the dark dank day Grin Grin.

Now a jibbering wreck. I just viewed the perfect rental property, OMG, there are only three people who have viewed... PLEASE send positive vibes, this would be the best birthday present of them all to know we have our housing situation sorted. I even said I would pay more if need be (desperate here) and the lady kind of went "ooooo, really?" and sounded rather surprised and pleased. I hope that swings it.

Fingers crossed for the bacon sarnie Ninja.. ....

Anon we were hoping to go HERE We went last year in our tent and it is the most amazing place. Great for getting into London. We have a trailer tent this year and it is full, if we were in our tent we would get a space no problem.
