SIL (over on hols)rang this am. to say BIL has had heart attack (in canada)in hospital she very upset, all a bit not much I can do, I guess only be ears, will call her later and be supportive.

Morning all.
DH home today, which is nice, but equally disrupts my "flow"! It's gorgeous and sunny, so he is all "oo, let's go for a walk" and I just want to get the ironing done!!!!

Anyone know about permanent blow drys?? Do they work? Someone was talking about them, and I rather like the sound of it (assuming they actually work of course).....

DS2 up lots again last night, am now running on empty re sleep, but he's much better today and we've seen the asthma nurse (finally) and got a referral to specialists to see what we can do differently.

I have got nothing done today, went to physio and bought a wig for hen night, then have spent rest of time since lunch on phone to MIL & Hen

Anon I've never heard of them tell me more...

Have to be at school early for clothes collection, and really need to get some stuff done today or house will descend into chaos

I hadnn't heard of a perm blow dry either, but apparently they can do something that means you have (in my case) a permanent straight "do" for something like 3 months...

Obviously there is a cost involved, I don't know how much. But I am very very poor indeed at making my hair look even remotely presentable, so just tie it up. Had it blow dried the other day for an event and a few people said you should have your hair down more often, have you thought about a perm blow dry???! I was. If I get off my arse and google, no doubt all will be revealed. I need to go to Style & Beauty and search threads there....

I couldn't live without my ghds although hair never looks as glossy as haidresser leaves it,

A couple of years ago I went to a salon that dosen't believe in straighteners and I really think it was the best blowdry I had ever had it stayed straight until I needed to wash it which could be 5/6 days for me

Pathetic afternoon because all I've done is work. Really unhappy with my job, October budget is to work out if we can cope just on DH's salary. Plan to reduce hours has resulted in reducing my pay by half and still doing the same hours, just doing them between 9 and midnight rather than during the day to free me up to do housework and childcare during the day something has gone wrong with my flexible working I think....

Anonymousbird it was THIS I uped the ingredients fo 5 of us and used sugar snap peas instead of frozen and chucked in tons of cashew nuts.

The sauce is to die for and really makes it.

Just run out of dishy powder, so used soda crystals instead, imressive results....must do a cost comparison.
