PlumBumMum · 28/09/2010 20:22

Spacehoppa I was thinking the same , can we see your blog?? I have a book half written in a draw under my bed, I used to write short stories that my friends would read during GCSE Geography[grin

Yes wasting wedding outfit so i can copy you

I have hen this week need to get new jeans

wastingaway · 28/09/2010 20:24

It's a black maxi skirt, with a black and white flared tunic that's fitted round the bust and has 3/4 length sleeves, so perfect for me. Grin And I've got some black flat mules from Clarks and a black handbag, and a long pearl necklace.

I look like a big woman dressed for a wedding and not a heffalump in a frock which is the main thing. Grin

PlumBumMum · 28/09/2010 20:32

Sounds lovely glad you got sorted , I have seen another couple of dresses just need the courage to go try them on ( oh and the spare cash might helpGrin)

Wasting that outfit sounds good, and potential for the components to be worn separately afterwards which is always a bonus!

IamASlattern - any day where you manage 4 loads of washing cannot be described as a failure Grin

I feel rotten today, I am full of cold and have a headache. However I took DS out to soft play and lunch earlier, went and got what I needed in Boots and managed to cook a roast, so not all bad.
About to have a hot chocolate and then go to bed, I could really do with a hot toddy but I feel I shouldn't have whiskey :(
Ooh and DH is going to book our holiday tomorrow, we're off to the New Forest for a week in November. We have stayed at the place before when DS was just 3 months old and it was lovely, nice food and lovely pool etc. Can't wait!

TOMORROW
All up and dressed

Fold mountain of clean washing (may make a start now actually)
Leave kitchen tidy
Tidy living room and dining room

Get my hair done while Mum looks after DS
Come home

Have got sniffly cold today DH and I are blaming each other for 'starting it'.It was him, it was.

Morning everyone :)

DS slept until 9.30! So I had a lovely shower and cup of tea in peace and quiet.
Am cross with DH though, was his turn to do the kitchen last night and he hasn't cleaned the sink, hob or sides so it is filthy in there and smells of roast pork. I nearly vomited when I went in there. So breakfast isn't going well, I've had a biscuit and DS has got an apple and a banana. :( Angry Must venture in there again and clean it up

JKS you got a bargain there Smile

Ali hope the smell abates soon, I hate the smell of roasts after the event at the best of times. Oh and hot toddy-when I was pg I used to put fresh lemon and grated ginger in a mug with boiling water-cleared the head and was good for sickness too.

Wasting outfit sounds good.

Hello again.
Welcome to HystericalMum.

Mini yes, primarily eating the pumpkins, however, there are so damned many of them, and they are BIG, that all things are considered Wink. Attacked the first one at the weekend. Made a vat of soup (now duly frozen, you would be so proud, very unslatternly) and then roasted yet more of the first pumpkin, and still have a quarter left. Hoping kids will be happy to eat it YET AGAIN (fourth time in five days) tonight. Not sure it goes with salmon though... (or does it?!)

JKS - I am just waiting for DD's asthma to kick in when she gets her first cold of the winter... you poor thing. Only once have I had to rush DD to the doctor - luckily my surgery could handle her rather than drag to A&E. Now we are armed with preventers, inhalers, and all sorts and it sorted us last winter, hopefully will do so this winter. That has reminded me, though now she is at school, I need a full set of her stuff to leave there..

Words does have something of an advantage - also a lot easier for her to get the washing/floors dry!!!!

Here goes:
Today

  • Up, showered and dressed me and DC?s DONE
  • DC?s to school DONE
  • Quick coffee in town DONE
  • general tidy, make beds etc
  • DW unload DONE
  • Chickens

  • Speak to Doctor re DD's prescriptions
  • Wear teeth whitening moulds for two hours

anonymousbird · 29/09/2010 12:10

!!!!!
Well, good for you if you can. I'm not AT ALL Envy of your quick drying laundry (deep sigh) and the chance of having a maid.

I'd get help if I could, for sure.. but my cleaner budget (there was one) now goes on my garden budget (I'm crap at housework, but even more crap at gardening) as that is where I need more help.. And it's money well spent when I see the guy who helps me getting soaking wet.. At least it's not me!!!!!

OP posts:
AttackedbyNinjaPeas · 29/09/2010 12:21

I used to have a maid when I lived in Botswana. Only once a week but she'd come in and clean the kitchen and bathroom, mop the floors and dust. Sometimes she'd do my ironing too. Had the same dust issue though so I still should have done had to dust/do floors every day myself.

Hated her coming if I was in though...
