We have a few decorative bits we are waiting on being delivered but does it seem something is missing from my daughters bedroom?

I think it's beautiful. Agree a rug or playmat would be good. Lucky girl!

LindaEllen · 23/03/2022 13:00

It looks lovely. Nice rug and a few toys once she actually moves into it and it will be perfect :).

ladygindiva · 23/03/2022 13:00

Looks gorgeous. My twin dds have those beds and wardrobe! I love them x

ladygindiva · 23/03/2022 13:01

Highly recommend the drawers that complete the set, very roomy

MichaelAndEagle · 23/03/2022 13:01

I like things a bit busier, so I'd have curtains with a pattern on.

RussianSpy101 · 23/03/2022 13:01

A rug, some cushions for the bench, something for the walls, something else around the window.

thegreylady · 23/03/2022 13:14

What about a fabric book rack with a selection of board books etc?

If she's a climber, do not have a box to climb on right in front of the window surely

MrsTimRiggins · 23/03/2022 13:19

A rug or a playmat and then leave it for now. Once she’s been in there a few months, you’ll know what you need or want to add or take out I think.
It’s beautiful, lucky girl 😊

EventuallyDelighted · 23/03/2022 13:20

Some brighter colours, it's all a bit plain and pale. Maybe a brightly coloured rug and one of the fabric book racks pictured above?

Mamadooley · 23/03/2022 13:21

She will not be left in this room alone ever, and she wears a sleeping bag to sleep, also those Windows only open by a key that is not left in the room

I love the light fitting. Where did you get it from?

Mamadooley · 23/03/2022 13:23

It’s from next xx

Sorry I'd missed that you were cosleeping.

I'm not suggesting you're leaving them unlocked (unlike my bloody neighbours who have them OPEN) but I wouldn't be wanting to encourage her climbing up into the windows. I say this as a mother of two two year old climbers.

MrsGHarrison87 · 23/03/2022 13:26

Toys.

Mamadooley · 23/03/2022 13:27

Oh 2! 😄 it’s hard enough with one climber in the house, everything I do has to be properly thought through from a safety stand point if she can climb it and fall she will 😱

As for the room, I think just curtains, those blinds in June and the room will be full daylight half the night.
I love the basket in the corner

Rina66 · 23/03/2022 13:28

Beautiful room op, but I think some sort of window dressing would be lovely. It would have been good if the striped blind could have been recessed and a black out Roman blind put in its place.

Octomore · 23/03/2022 13:28

Books that she can actually reach. Toys and other bits and bobs that reflect what she personally enjoys rather than a coordinated 'look'.

SleepingStandingUp · 23/03/2022 13:29

Oh yes, and they egg each other on. So one will do it and then tell the other one to do it. And they'd be on that box as soon as they were alone waving at the neighbours or pigeons 😂

Caspianberg · 23/03/2022 13:30

We have almost 2 year old. He has those same spice racks for books but they are lower down so he can reach all the books to look at. We then have one high up long shelf for books and other bits we don’t want him to touch.

Comfy chair also. IKEA strandmon here. It comes in many colours and super comfy for us to read bedtime stories and he easily climbs up and sits in himself

ivykaty44 · 23/03/2022 13:31

A rug and a couple of large ish pictures on the plain walls

toomuchfruit · 23/03/2022 13:31

I think some long, gorgeous thick curtains with a pop of colour.

SleepingStandingUp · 23/03/2022 13:33

I think this thread is making me realise I have demon goat toddlers. Everytime some one says chair I see twin 2 standing on the arm of the sofa, arms on the air waving. And yes I moved him. And yes he keeps doing it.

Needles to say we have two more beds and some cuddly toys in their room

Where is your corner basket and curtain from?

Chippingin2 · 23/03/2022 13:33

A colour other than pink?
