I am increasingly pleased by Emma Bridgewater’s things of beauty. The older I get the greater my obsession is becoming. Even my OH covets a few pieces, especially the Game Birds items (no that isn’t a euphemism 😬).

I’m surely not on my own. Are you an avid collector? What’s your favourite piece? I struggle to choose a favourite but currently I’m enjoying tea made in this beauty (attached)

Let’s see yours 😍

(Not sure if I’ve posted in the right topic, perhaps Mumsnet ought to have a Things of Beauty Board 🙏)

I love their mugs to drink out of! I'm waiting to buy a Halloween one this year Smile I've only ever bought 1 as the rest were gifts.

TheRealHousewife · 02/08/2021 20:01

@Sleepyquest I agree. They are robust and well rounded, great to drink tea or coffee out off; do you know when the Halloween stuff is released?

@TheRealHousewife I don't! But it can't be long I'm sure? Grin

TheRealHousewife · 02/08/2021 21:09

@Sleepyquest I’ve just been to site and they have a couple of Halloween 🎃 items. A treat bucket and treat tin. Great if you have little ones.

I don’t know if it’s mums net or my iPad but photos aren’t posting. I’ll try again.

DH has just said NO MORE MUGS. Bastard.

We've only got about 50 and there is a whole shelf in the cupboard crying out for more Grin

I'm slightly obsessed and have got a massive polka dot teapot as well as the mugs, and some giant cups and saucers. Sadly they've not lasted well and are very chipped so I'm reluctant to invest in more. There's quite a good outlet at Bicester.

IloveEB · 02/08/2021 21:22

I’ve changed name as many people IRL know about my happy mug shelf… it makes me smile every day. And I have strange rules about which types can have tea (stars in blue or green and spots) and coffee (red stars obv and flowers) and I have four polka dot ones for guests so I have a set.
My EB lunch bag is my sweet bag for the kids and I have two of the kids melamine sets which are adorable (for child and grandchildren, not me- honest!)
Love EB stuff. 🥰

The dishwasher is on so half the mugs are missing 😂😂😂

TheRealHousewife · 02/08/2021 22:16

@spinningspaniels the stock mumsnet response to your dilemma is LTB 😬. HTH

@IloveEB I have serious shelf envy 😍😍😍. Lucky pup you! BTW love you username.

I was so fortunate to have a lovely parent at one of my schools give me a personalised EB teapot which she commissioned specially as a leaving present. It sits on my dining room sideboard where I can enjoy its beauty and the touching message she had inscribed on it. It means a lot to me.

SoupDragon · 08/08/2021 09:09

I am having my morning coffee out of my Pansy mug with Mum written on it. 🙂

I gave quite a few pointers for Mother's Day this year 😂

TheRealHousewife · 09/08/2021 18:26

@pollyglot what a delightfully thoughtful gift. What lovely work colleagues you had.

@SoupDragon pester pester pester 🤣. Result!

Love EB - here’s some of mine!

@Scutterbug love love love!! We are moving into a new house in a couple of months (renovations!) and I'm so excited to have space for a dresser! Do you use your Emma bridgewater every day? I want to store it so it looks lovely but also functional as I do use it!

JedEye · 09/08/2021 21:11

This thread shows how different we all are. I really don’t get the Emma Bridgewater thing at all. My daughter bought me a heart mug which is sweet of her but I still don’t get why you all love it so much! Blush

TheRealHousewife · 09/08/2021 21:48

@Scutterbug oh my goodness 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

@JedEye I totally get you not getting the EB thing. I was you! Then post 55 a switch flicked and boom, I was smitten 🤩.

@niki26 good luck with the move! I use my EB everyday apart from dp’s Gallon Teapot. It would be far too heavy 😬 Life’s too short not to use your beautiful things ❤️

We do! I think what’s the point in having nice things just for show so we like to use them properly.

Bipbopbee · 10/08/2021 12:11

Completely obsessed with EB!

I built up the pink roses and green hawthorn together as a matching set ( the dinner plates, pasta bowls, smaller plates and side plates, cereal bowls, jug and large bowl )

Then have smaller sets in the Blackberry, Tumbling Pumpkins, mixed Halloween plates/bowls and a full Christmas set.

Also I collected the Kings and Queens mugs which all have pride of place on the dresser.

Love looking at them all and they are all so nice to eat and drink out of!

DukeOfEarlGrey · 10/08/2021 12:34

This is my favourite mug. I think EB created it for Pride month but I just love the message and the colours Smile

So much I attached it twice, apparently...

TheRealHousewife · 10/08/2021 21:53

Lovely EB mug @DukeOfEarlGrey! Similar to one of mine.

@Bipbopbee sounds an impressive collection 👍

I have noticed EB stuff seems to hold its price or even increase in value as online people are paying more than cost price for second-hand 😮

Hi ladies, if you are within commuting distance of Stoke I really recommend a visit to the factory. There’s a shop, seconds shop, paint a pot, cafe etc.

makingmyway10 · 10/08/2021 22:15

Hello friends! I have been collecting EB for 22 years. I have a lot, really a lot Smile
My favourite is Sampler pattern which is now discontinued. I also love Bright Poppies but my collection is a mix of lots of patterns mostly pinks.
I have just bought a gallon teapot and a goldfish bowl vase the large one which is beautiful.
EB mixes in well with my antique China and looks so perfect in my kitchen.
My kitchen is oak and I have a baby blue colour range which looks so good with the EB.
Tea in EB always tastes better Smile
