I am increasingly pleased by Emma Bridgewater’s things of beauty. The older I get the greater my obsession is becoming. Even my OH covets a few pieces, especially the Game Birds items (no that isn’t a euphemism 😬).

I’m surely not on my own. Are you an avid collector? What’s your favourite piece? I struggle to choose a favourite but currently I’m enjoying tea made in this beauty (attached)

Let’s see yours 😍

(Not sure if I’ve posted in the right topic, perhaps Mumsnet ought to have a Things of Beauty Board 🙏)

Oh I love all of it! I think the toast and marmalade collection is my favourite but I love all the patterns as well, I have been to the factory a few times. The teapots are all so beautiful!

niki26 · 02/08/2021 10:25

Ooh yes! I have that teapot OP - have you seen the new autumn range, released this morning?

TheRealHousewife · 02/08/2021 10:42

Yes! I knew I wasn’t the only one 👍

This teapot fills me with joy @niki26… had a few near misses with dropping it. wipes sweat off forehead. Unfortunately yes I’ve seen the new stuff this morning £££ … oups 😬

I keep pestering OH to go to the factory/shop with me @chococats, it’s a couple of hours away. I live in hope!

I agree the Toast collection is classic.

I've just ordered the rowan and dragonfly mugs :)

chococats · 02/08/2021 10:49

I always think the food/drink tastes better from Bridgewater crockery! I love it all so much, the shapes of all the pieces are just perfect I think, and the designs so cheering.

TertiusLydgate · 02/08/2021 10:52

I used to have one of their cocoa mugs - perfect for a big cup of tea. Sadly, the handle fell off.

My son bought himself a pheasant mug and the handle came off that too.

Are we just unlucky or is the quality poor?

ShaunaTheSheep · 02/08/2021 10:55

We’ve had a few handles fall off. I saw a a lovely idea of a garden shelf to display broken pieces :)

chococats · 02/08/2021 10:56

I love this mug - picture from google, the 'ps I've done the bins' makes me laugh! I love the humour in a lot of their stuff.

I have found my people! I had to cut myself off as I bought everything and anything in polka dot! We all have our special mugs with our names on, the two little ds have their own dinosaur personalised ones (which they will never be allowed to touch) but they look o so pretty hung up together.

I had to box most of it away to save it from little hands whilst they are toddling, I dont know when it will be unearthed as they may destroy it with house parties when teenagers 😂

DidgeDoolittle · 02/08/2021 11:03

I've found my people!!
I love Emma Bridgewater stuff. I'm collecting all the flower mugs. I have loads.
I live very near the factory so go on a fairly regular basis. It's fatal for my bank account.

SoupDragon · 02/08/2021 11:08

I still love it (and have a dresser crammed full of it to prove it!) but I do think there is far too much of it now. All the non pottery items that just use the designs has kind of ruined it for me.

I do love the little jugs though. I have lots of those in many many designs.

niki26 · 02/08/2021 11:14

I started with pink hearts, then some polka....then black toast.....I do mix it up. I recently ordered some blue toast bits and one of the medium pasta bowls was broken on delivery. I phoned them up and the lady I spoke to was extremely apologetic as they are now out of stock so they couldn't replace it. I said it didn't really matter as I use a mixture and she was so relieved!

TheRealHousewife · 02/08/2021 11:19

Oooooo lovely @Mrs08! If you’re like me you’ll be counting the sleeps until the lovely big red box arrives ❤️

@TertiusLydgate If I was you I’d get in touch. I’ve got in touch with them about the handle that came off a glass tankard. They credited me the full amount. No hassle.

@SoupDragon I love the tiny little jugs. They are so cute. They are the right size to serve individual cream to each person for coffee or dessert.

@Dugi3 @DidgeDoolittle I feel I’ve found my tribe too 🥰. My favourite of the flower mugs are the tulip & dalia… such vibrant colours.

Not seen that one before @chococats …. I wonder if it was a personalised one. Lovely mug!

@ShaunaTheSheep what a cool idea.

Currently sitting on my fingers to stop me clicking on EB site …. 😬

@niki26 I’m like you in that I like to mix and match stuff. Years ago I had a lovely french dresser and I’m kicking myself now that I gave it away. Yes gave it away. I’ve promised myself I’ll get a dresser when we move (goodness knows when).

The mugs! And the Christmas ranges.

Angel2702 · 02/08/2021 11:27

I love my pumpkin set and my guy Fawkes night mug.

TheRealHousewife · 02/08/2021 11:28

Here’s 2 of my plate designs. The Dandelion Hen Nest is unfortunately out of stock. I’ve seen them online second hand and they cost MORE than new from EB. I would buy second hand but not for more than new.

Photos didn’t post so trying again.

Another fan, especially of the Christmas ranges & the exclusive Liberty stuff. Often buy seconds from the website & my favourite piece is my Hen on Nest Smile

cheesepizza22 · 02/08/2021 11:29

My gallon Game Birds tea pot is my most prized possession!

TheRealHousewife · 02/08/2021 11:33

I don’t know why my photos aren’t posting. Never had a problem before. I’ll try again later.

@Geamhradh I’ve recently ordered a pint pot mug. It’s not arrived yet but looking forward to it. I love a big mug for tea. Fingers crossed the photo posts.

@cheesepizza22 you’d get on with my OH, he has recently bought one of those, it was a second. Beautiful it is 🤩. Too heavy to use for tea 😂 Will be used as a vase.

My name is Real … Real Housewife … and I have an Emma Bridgewater addiction 😬

The Christmas ranges are lovely @legosunqueen.
