Woah!

Sorry for the multiple posts

Purpleturtle - yes. That has made me feel much better. DD is currently in a wake-up before 6am cycle and I'm feeling bitter about many things.

Chipmonkey. Um.. thanks. Not quite sure I got the subtleties of that tbh. I actually thought they were exactly the same thing. Aren't they???

SSD. I'm a telecomms consultant. I even bore myself when I talk about it. I'm working around the world 'to facilitate the roll-out of 3G technology'. Horlicks & a pillow anybody?

Boogie · 20/09/2005 05:58

I'm from Scotland, but in Perth, Western Australia for a couple of years. Pretty much hasn't stopped raining since we got here - just like home really!

Kiwifruit · 20/09/2005 07:53

New Zealander living in the UK, but moving back to NZ at the end of November with English DH (will spend 6 weeks in Christchurch, then head up to Auckland).

Small matter of popping out a baby between now and then though, not to mention packing up the house...

Lapochka · 20/09/2005 18:22

Hi Moondog

No I'm not M from NN. I live down in the south near the Black Sea. Great climate down here - just been picking grapes off my grapevine today and making juice. Where did you used to live?

mumbee · 20/09/2005 18:31

Collision was due to moved back to UK Stoke area early in Sept. We waiting on the stafford/cheshire thread to hear her safe arrival.

laurawaterford · 20/09/2005 21:08

moondog · 20/09/2005 21:47

Lapochka, whereabouts? I've holidayed down then (Yalta and Odessa) and travelled a fair bit. Gorgeous place!
The Brits Abroad will be invading before long!

Used to live in Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow (5 or 6 years ago.) Very happy memories.
Are you married to a Russian/Ukrainian??

Nightynight · 20/09/2005 22:05

waterford sounds quite far and romantic to me laura. mind you so does swindon at the moment - Im posting from Munich.

The Oktoberfest is in full swing. 6 million beer worshipping, lederhosen wearing men have invaded the city! Husband hunting is temporarily on hold

Rhubarb · 20/09/2005 22:19

DEE7479551 still waiting to hear where you are! GGG is in central Bordeaux, I'm in the Gironde near Langon. We could have a meet-up!

sansouci · 21/09/2005 10:01

thank you for the kind thought ggg! think it is I who am in the wrong place though.

moondog - I saw an advertisement on the underground here that said roughly "Hotel owners - you will be missing the Brits soon - the Russians are coming!" and some photos of russian holidaymakers behaving badly.

moondog · 21/09/2005 13:05

Lol nn! A Russian in full flow (and in control of a karaoke machine) is an awesome sight!Mind you,in St Pete's they told me that the Finns are even bigger party animals!!
