Ideal university for Medicine

DS is in Y12, and set on Medicine. He's been to a few open days already, but until he's done his UCAT next summer it's impossible to know where will be realistic to apply.

So, just out of interest, and putting aside entry requirements and "prestige", which would be your ideal universities for Medicine, based on the overall student experience?

Singapore takes preventative action when it comes to healthcare. I recall primary school teachers supervising a class of 40 pupils teeth brushing after breaktime and a dental clinic in school itself.

I think prevention is key when it comes to healthcare.

Hopefully our concerns are not misused by politicians to drive a debate for privatisation of the NHS as part of any reform.

I added a post to AIBU. Hope it helps.

Yes, to Char Kway Teow. It will be the Malaysian version at Roti King but close enough!!

There are some really good posts there. and most casual observers seem shocked. 13% think I am being unreasonable, but only a couple of "you can't say that - it is racist". I wonder if the fact that our young people would not be able to apply to India might also be seen as racist.

I need to do something first, but will have a look at the draft letter tomorrow.

I understand that Matthew Wright has picked up the issue. I hope he will alert others. This is not political. It is bad policy and bad workforce planning.

I thought the best Char Kuey Teow came from Penang. My bad!

I am more a roti canai and kari ayam girl myself. Throw in a bit of satay kajang....

Yes, some posters seem to think we voted for Brexit and are now regretting our decisions.
😂

Was hesitant at first about posting that text from the online Indian article discussing the UK based lobby (heavily involved in NHS recruitment) expanding rapidly in South Asia, etc.

Hoping someone can shed some light why this rapid expansion is going on at a time when so many doctors are becoming unemployed.
