If she won't open it then you should leave it to her!

I am 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just said I am tempted but won't. It's not for me to read it.

Rollergirl11 · 09/01/2024 10:43

You’re a better Mum than me @catmomof3, I don’t think I could help myself!! 😬😂

space99 · 09/01/2024 10:43

Great news @MrsFloof for your DD but sorry to hear about the other girl.
Well done to all those DC with offers and commiserations to those without.
My DS has a study day so doesn't know if his two friends have heard yet. One has applied for history and other linguistics I think.

Rollergirl11 · 09/01/2024 10:44

Well done @MrsFloof DD. So happy for you!!!

stoneysongs · 09/01/2024 10:45

Great news @MrsFloof - your DD was right all along!

DD has been rejected but says she feels a bit relieved so all good. She has never been sure that Oxford is the place for her and likes both Birmingham and Warwick. Well done to all getting offers and thanks for the companionship along the way 👍

catmomof3 · 09/01/2024 10:45

@Rollergirl11 I promised her I wouldn't open anything, and even though I need to know for my own sanity I'm gonna wait til she is ready. Which will probably be next week 🤣

goodbyestranger · 09/01/2024 10:46

Sorry to hear that stoneysongs.

goodbyestranger · 09/01/2024 10:48

catmomof3 the first few words will be a dead giveaway, even without the attachment.

Is your DD in an exam or is there some reason that she can't just open the email?

InvestedButNotOverinvested · 09/01/2024 10:48

DD has an offer!!! So, so pleased for her as she really had her heart set on O.

Rollergirl11 · 09/01/2024 10:50

@stoneysongs well now she can set her sights on where she really wants to go! I think it’s the just not being able to know where you’re going that is the worst feeling. Now she knows and can plan which is great!!

KazzaV · 09/01/2024 10:50

Still waiting here …..

No she's in her History lesson atm but she just is very nervous about reading the email and doesn't know if she wants to do it at school or at home.

InvestedButNotOverinvested · 09/01/2024 10:51

Commiserations to those without offers. It’s a brutal process.

Goodgriefken · 09/01/2024 10:51

Congratulations to all those with offers and commiserations to those who didn't get the news they wanted.
DS has an offer, I really can't believe it. I'd obviously convinced myself that he wouldn't get in. I think it'll take a while for it to sink in.

Jaxx · 09/01/2024 10:54

You are a better person than me @catmomof3. Possibly the only benefit of having a child with executive function difficulties is he is happy with me having access to his school email and ucas. I promised that I wouldn’t look if the results day had been on the his 18th birthday (the 25th), but knows I will look and is OK with it as long as I don’t break the news to him.

So sorry @lifeturnsonadime, I was really hoping your son would get an offer, but KCL is great and hopefully he will get a UCL offer soon too.

Again congratulations for this with offers and commiserations to those less fortunate. Take care of yourselves and your brilliant children, may they move onwards and upwards quickly ❤️.

Pleasealexa · 09/01/2024 10:55

@catmomof3 the suspense...I'm at work and now refreshing MN for your updates..c'mon daughter of catmomof3 😀

@RIPMatthewperry sorry to hear that, enjoyed your posts. It's a little sad that the community here will disperse.

RIPMatthewperry · 09/01/2024 10:58

@Pleasealexa thank you!

DC now in the process of understanding how to manage the 4 offers they already have so that they don’t piss anyone off of they decide to reapply with Grades in hand…!

catmomof3 · 09/01/2024 10:59

@Jaxx My DD doesn't mind me checking her emails as long as I don't open anything important. And I promised I wouldn't check but because I'm logged into both email accounts (mine and hers) it went to hers when I was going to check mine as I'm waiting for my asd diagnostic report. As much as it's killing me not to look this is about her not me so I will wait until she is ready to look and read the email herself. Temptation is the devil but he's not getting the better of me today 🤣

Pleasealexa · 09/01/2024 11:01

@lifeturnsonadime kcl is amazing and it's so well recognised. A friend's dad missed her C offer on results day and went to KCL instead. Had an amazing time that has shaped her life.

MirandaWest · 09/01/2024 11:03

@MrsFloof so pleased for your DD 😃 I felt she would get an offer and so I’m really glad she has!

Lightsabre · 09/01/2024 11:03

Ds also rejected sadly as we expected. Disappointed for him but glad we can put the experience behind us. His good friend has an offer and he is pleased for him.

Well done to the offers rolling in, they have truly done well and all my sympathy to those in the same boat as us.
Onwards and upwards.

MommaZenZone · 09/01/2024 11:03

Big fat no for DD

MirandaWest · 09/01/2024 11:03

I am very glad I don’t have access to either of DDs UCAS or emails as would be very hard not to look

MirandaWest · 09/01/2024 11:04

I see on TSR that the college she’s applied to has been sending out decisions

zen1 · 09/01/2024 11:07

DS just texted me from school to say there’s nothing on UCAS and nothing in his emails as yet. I just want the waiting to be over…
