DS got an offer for Chemistry! Having been through rejection last year, we've been through all the emotions so I'm incredibly chuffed for him 😊

My daughter has had an offer. Can’t believe it!

It’s a “no” here for Philosophy and French. Let’s hope he gets an offer from his other two favoured universities. He’s fine with it, so he says. Best of luck to everyone whatever the outcome!

Commiserations to those who don’t have offers.

Warwick is a fabulous university.

For all those with disappointed teenagers today - I got a rejection in 2009. I ended up getting 3 As, going to Exeter where I had the time of my life, met great friends, sang in the university choir, got a First, and went on to do a Masters and run my own business. Today is not the end of it all. You are clever and will be very successful - Oxbridge is just not the place for you.

I know I said I wouldn't check DD's emails but I've had a peek and she has one from track and one from her college. I won't look though as I'm pretty sure it's rejection.

Well done to all who got an offer and commiserations to those that did not. Two years ago my soon was rejected by C for Natsci, he is at Durham and is very happy. My DD is applying for C this year, so will be going through it all again.

@catmomof3 ... can you check though... I'm a little invested with this with my 6 and 4 year olds 😂

catmomof3 if you've had a peek then the first couple of words of the email will almost certainly give it away. They don't tend to start with 'We are pleased' if it's not an offer.

I could and mark the college one as unread but if it's rejection I'm gonna feel extra depressed when she reads it and then tells me again lol.

You've got this far - just look at the opening words!

All I know is that email has an attachment to it. I don't know what that means if anything.

It means an offer.

My DS leaves his school email permanently logged in on the PC. I don’t dare go anywhere near it.

For gods sake, if you told her you wouldn't look, don't do it.

Wouldn't they send an attachment if it's rejection? She knows she has an email but won't open it.

Offer for E&M here just come through via UCAS for DD.

Very sad rejection for another girl who had the most horrific circumstances I have ever heard of. Far worse than my cancer and brothers 8 months in hospital.

I am crying for both of them.

I'm not gonna look chill out lol. She knows I already checked her emails because I said she has an email but I haven't looked at the contents, I wouldn't do that even if I was tempted.

If she won't open it then you should leave it to her!
