Just got an Edinburgh offer…looks like they are all coming out this afternoon !

DD has just seen on UCAS that she has an offer from QMUL - she is so, so happy!

It has been such a struggle to wait when all of her friends have been getting offers for other subjects. Don't really care too much what happens with the others now!!

Congratulations to your DD @MrsBennetsPoorNerves . Great news. Which other ones did your DD interview with? Did the BMAT ones come through too?

She did an interview at Manchester, but still waiting to hear. I think they said April but it doesn't really matter that much now because Barts would probably be her preference.

The BMAT ones didn't come through in the end, which wasn't surprising as she knew she hadn't done very well on the day. She was rejected from Imperial before interview. She hasn't actually heard anything at all yet from UCL re the Medicine application so I'm assuming it will be a no as well, but they are very slow! She does have a UCL offer for her fifth choice.

None of it really matters now anyway. She was never entirely sure which of the London ones she wanted most in any case, as there were different aspects of all of them that she loved. Ironically, it's the only one where I didn't go with her to the open day!!

Just so pleased that she has something. The wait was so stressful! Really hope that everyone else still waiting gets an offer soon... they truly do need only one!

@MrsBennetsPoorNerves Manchester may well come through too. They were really late with all their offers when DS got one two years ago. You are absolutely right, they only need one offer. The waiting is so tough when all their non-medic friends are getting offers galore. Hope you are all celebrating tonight.

Has anyone heard anything back from Bristol yet ?

it’s my daughter’s top choice and not heard a thing since being placed on hold nearly three weeks ago.

I'm optimistic about Manchester too. DD felt that the MMIs had gone well, and interviews generally play to her strengths anyway, so I always felt that she had a decent chance if she could just get a foot in the door. Either way, it doesn't really matter now as she would choose Barts over Manchester in any case. Still, it would be nice to have options!

Really hope she hears something soon, @kackle. The waiting is the worst bit.

DD cried when she got her offer. I think the stress and uncertainty has been getting her down.

@kackle DD still on hold for Bristol. They seem to have made a small number of offers to their top interview scorers, as they usually do. They will likely start some sizeable batches of offers very soon.

I hope they make decisions soon.

She’s had two offers so far but hankering after Bristol.

i’m keen for her to make a decision and release a place for one of the universities so the place can hopefully be offered to another applicant

Hello, checking in- so very lovely to read all the offers, many congratulations to everyone- I can imagine all the happy scenes. Fingers crossed for everyone waiting, this feels like an unnecessarily harsh process. DD got an offer from Sheffield which was such a relief. Her first choice is Edinburgh but she hasn’t heard from them and it sounds like their offers are already out? I’d love her to settle now she has an offer but she will be waiting until she knows either way with the rest. I’m really excited for her but have to tone it down while she waits- although if I actually think about her leaving I’m quite wobbly!

ah ok, thanks for that info, I’d not said anything to her anyway so the wait continues! Is the Edinburgh offer the one you wanted in your house?
