DD just heard , Sunday afternoon moving slot , DH and I have both managed to book Monday off 😅 so feeling a little more organised now

DS heard this afternoon - finally! 12 pm Sat. Works out ok, long drive up from London. Staying overnight about 10 miles outside Durham (in what looks like a haunted house), then we will drive back early Sunday morning. All feels very real now!

I have also now looked. Navy suits everywhere in St Mary's, Hatfield etc photos. Under gowns.

Any dark suit fine for boys’ matriculation. A few making a point in trainers but most in black leather shoes.

Time slot just received here. Will need to do some rearranging but we should both be ok to take him. I do love a road trip!

We haven't got a moving in slot but it says contract is from 2pm on Sunday. So I assume move in from 2pm Sunday?

@Peaseblossum22, I can't believe you are still waiting! Have you tried the live chats or even the Instagram boards? They might not have his specific info but may know if they think there are still batches to come out?
@chopc, dd's contract was also from Sunday but she got offered both days to choose from.

@Peasepuddingplease thank you for the New Look shoes idea! Had a look on their website, and think I spotted the ones you mean. They look very nice.
I saw an Instagram post today from marysfreshers2021 via the unihustl page and that said to bring a white shirt or blouse and black trousers or skirt for matriculation @libbytrois. I don’t know if that’s college specific, but my in dd’s college the girls were just wearing smart clothes/ dresses.
I think we will need to start a new thread as see we are on page 40 😬.

Hallelujah! After another chase DS has his accom at Collingwood itself! Huge relief and very grateful it was what he wanted. Just need to sort out storage when he is home for the holidays

Yes! He has a room , it says standard so we think that’s a single . He’s so relieved , he was being super chilled on the surface but is now so relieved. And a lovely reply from college to his , I must say super polite in the circumstances, email asking if he had been somehow forgotten. Now singing in his room no arrival slot yet .

Lovely to see the good news coming.
Dd's going up to her house tomorrow. One of her housemates is already there. When she arrived she sent a message asking if they knew there was a dog in the house. Dd is petrified of dogs and so was minorly panicking.
Turned out there was a "beware of the dog" sign on the door. Dd was so relieved I haven't worked out if the housemate was also scared (and so not going in) or joking (she wouldn't know dd was scared).
