Following on from our previous thread.

Good luck to all DC awaiting results and university places.

School question: Is it only the SLT and the Exams Officer(s) who get to see the results today?

A programme about the Warwick Uni Rape Chat Scandal is about to start on BBC 1.

FrameyMcFrame · 14/08/2019 22:39

DDS course is in clearing but just with the same grades as her current offer.

Don't think I'll be sleeping any time soon

Miljah · 14/08/2019 22:41

bowbridge yes, spotted it.

We should all be encouraging our young people to avoid Warwick. There is much to be learned.

Tho interested that it's on tonight

TapasForTwo · 14/08/2019 22:42

Programme about the Warwick scandal on right now on BBC1. The timing isn't great given that they have a lot of courses in clearing.

TapasForTwo · 14/08/2019 22:43

DD has gone to bed to (try to) sleep. I am wide awake - and set to be kept up by DH snoring anyway - so have had a drink to chill with ready to head up in a bit and try and get to sleep.

I'm a teacher, so have no worries about being off tomorrow to be able to give DD any support she wants/needs. She's asked DH to wake her up at 7 when he gets up for work. It could be a loooong day.

I'm hoping for...
7 am up. Read 6th form email for results. Get on track at 8am. Accept whatever. Go for F&B breakfast to celebrate.

Only spanner in works (based on grades on clearing, which to me suggest she no longer needs to stress too much about AAA for her place now if they are offering ABB now instead and that she may still be let in with less...but I could be wrong) is if she makes her predicted higher than AAA results and has to sit in waiting to talk to Cambridge.

Just watched the Warwick documentary. Crikey.

Shimy · 14/08/2019 23:16

Just finished watching the documentary as well. Absolutely horrendous! Something isn’t quite right with those boys. Warwick should be ashamed how they handled the investigation, utterly ashamed.

bizzey · 14/08/2019 23:27

I am still awake and would also like to add my thanks to you all ,for such a supportive thread.
Hope ypu all sleep well and let tomorrow bring us the new dawn in our lives that turns out well.

MrKlaw · 14/08/2019 23:32

Good luck all 💐

MrKlaw · 14/08/2019 23:33

Am I suppose to have track access or is that just for DS? Keep hearing everyone talk about it an I have no idea what it is. Is it part of the UCAS site?

DrMadelineMaxwell · 14/08/2019 23:35

Good luck everyone!

TapasForTwo · 14/08/2019 23:37

Good luck from me as well

errorofjudgement · 14/08/2019 23:42

Thanks for sharing the support and general good humour on this journey.
Good night and good luck everyone x

juicy0 · 14/08/2019 23:43

No sign of sleep here. Good luck to everyone.

Cherryblossomandcornflakes · 14/08/2019 23:47

Goodnight and hope tomorrow morning brings the best news for everyone. Just want the limbo to be over now x

Northernlurker · 14/08/2019 23:50

I hate this bit. Did in three years ago with dd1, waiting on the grades she needed for medicine and fair.y sure she'd get it but dreading if not - she got in. Now here we are with dd2. Her offer is in clearing for ABB instead of AAA so that could be good news......unless she's utterly ploughed of course.

So now we wait.....

AtiaoftheJulii · 14/08/2019 23:54

Is anyone planning to actually go in to school with their DC. I mean go into the building with them?

I did 3 years ago with dd2, on her request. She also couldn't bring herself to open the envelope, so her favourite teacher ended up just telling her her results.

With ds tomorrow, his 6th form college do it all online, so he doesn't need to go anywhere.

Google calendar just popped up a reminder on my phone that it's results tomorrow! As if I needed it!

baytree hope your mum's doing ok x

MrKlaw your dc will be able to log into Track - it's just what the bit of UCAS that tracks all your applications/offers/acceptances is called.

Good luck everyone, hope you all get some sleep, see you in the morning!

ZandathePanda · 14/08/2019 23:59

Dd said track ‘is down’ for a results upload.

ZandathePanda · 14/08/2019 23:59

Obviously for 8 not now!

FrameyMcFrame · 15/08/2019 00:15

Apparently track sometimes crashes on results morning and might take a few attempts to get on.

Night all, hope everyone gets some sleep!

Witchend · 15/08/2019 00:17

Apparently dd's school accidentally let their results go live earlier today and some people have their results.
She reckons looking at the boundaries she's right on the borderline for two of them.
Currently she can't find her password for the Step paper, and those results are live now. Oh dear.

StudentHelp · 15/08/2019 00:26

Good luck all!
