Just seen Tescos results day ad. Thanks for making me feel weepy before The Chase, Tesco!

bizzey · 14/08/2019 17:06

Piggy ...i am behind still on tipping point.
Is that the add when they put tissues om the shoppi g list ?

bizzey · 14/08/2019 17:12

Or that could have been the CO-OP add

Piggywaspushed · 14/08/2019 17:14

Mot seen that one! No, it's an ad where the mum makes special burgers for her son.

Ragwort · 14/08/2019 17:46

My DS is so laid back about his results that he is planning to go out tonight for ‘pre results celebrations’ and has just opened a can of cider Shock. I am not amused.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 14/08/2019 17:58

It will take the edge off @Ragwort, as long as he doesn't have more than a couple!

Interestingly, looking at the Birmingham website there are many more courses in clearing than previously appeared on UCAS track when I looked - this is for UK/EU students. Clearing grades are shown, for each subject.

Fibbsdottir · 14/08/2019 18:17

Bath has a few courses relevant to dd but clearing only for overseas students.

Anyone have a dh utterly unconcerned?!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 14/08/2019 18:31

Yes, definitely here @Fibbsdottir!!!!

UCAS now closed so they can update. Says we will be able to log-in at 8am tomorrow. DS supposed to be in school by then!

Mine would be totally clueless about what to do if ds needs to go through clearing.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 14/08/2019 18:35

Lordy, DS just told me he got a call today from his college checking whether he was coming to the results celebration tomorrow. A tiny part of me is thinking back to the posts on the old thread about the jumping in the air photo. Even though DS says they were calling everyone who hasn’t replied. 😳. I’ve really lost it, I think.

( He told them he was coming if he had anything to celebrate!)

Fibbsdottir · 14/08/2019 18:39

Stupid to be so concerned really as her insurance has loads in clearing and can't give places away Grin she really wants her firm though

Not sure whether I'm more nervous or DD!

Decorhate · 14/08/2019 20:43

I’m definitely the more nervous one here!

Fibbsdottir · 14/08/2019 20:46

Dd says shes saved 2k, so is considering buying a cheap caravan and joining the hippy convoy rather than face her results Grin
