Great new Atia! DS's interview invite came today for the 8th December so not much time to prepare cue lots of running around the house with excitement (that was me not DS )

Webwiz, Atia - wonderful news

Thank you Littleham and MrsBartlet I must say I did find the wait very nervewracking much more so than I expected. DS is going on the train to the interview as he doesn't need to be there till 10am. I think I give off stressy vibes and DS is better without me around.

That makes sense webwiz. What form will his interview(s) take? Dd has an exam, then later in the morning 20 mins reading followed by interview and then much later in the day her general interview.

I just want to share with you that almost everyone at DDs school has heard about their interviews, with the exception of those applying for history at Oxford. This includes one really top candidate that everyone assumes should get an interview.

So Littleham, not having heard yet seems to mean that the History department hasn't yet decided who to interview.

Un FLIPPING believable! She has only gone and done it.

She got an e mail to say she has an interview. I honestly didn't believe her teacher that she stood a chance of getting through the aptitude test stage (especially her unconventional essay).

I'm not kidding - we are all stunned. I'm so keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of you - especially Molio and Hocus (XX). Thanks you so much for all your calming advice.

I am still waiting for one girl at the school I work in, she has applied for biological sciences at Oxford, the poor thing is almost tearing her hair out

Can't pretend we are not all jolly pleased . It's not the be all and end all , but DS would like to go and at least he gets to meet them. If it doesn't work out then he's given it a decent shot .

Big congrats to webwiz and HocusUcas and their sons and to Littleham and DD.

All so exciting and reminds me of last year. Year 13 was such an emotional roller coaster, waiting for replies from universities and then waiting for results. I am actually finding it strange this year not having so much to worry about! (Which is probably why I'm hanging around on here worrying on other people's behalf!)
