Healthy thread focussing on cock and cake finding the method that suits you whilst enjoying some cheery banter and googling obscene veg!

I am Mitts... hello xx

OP posts:

I hope it ain't knock off Bitter

I tell you, I sometimes wish that I didn't know about committees, treasurers and moderating forums. Where I work is in an area of which you describe.

bellavita · 30/06/2010 21:16

Seems so Total.

The woman in question from what I can gather is an over anxious mother of a grown up man who is in a professional sporting career. She cannot get any info from the dr's/nurses so comes to DH for those answers. Some questions he can answer and some he can't. He hasn't actually spoken to the man himself! These calls at the outset are referred to people like DH - they try and distribute them evenly, but DH just gets loads and loads of them to do, even visiting people with worries.

With the fund raising they do, they buy the stoma depts cameras so that pics can be taken of things that might be going wrong and then these can be sent straight to the lab or cushions for the hospitals for when people have "bottom" ops.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 21:18

Knockoff?

I'll have you know I bought it off old Fingers McGinty - cost me five notes.

At least working there beats living there Bella - I'm a classic case of champagne tastes and lemonade spends.

DeFluffy · 30/06/2010 21:19

Bitter - I have my mojo back for your DH yes. The rest is a no.

First time I met mine (on our first date, internet romance ) he hugged me and I thought oooooooooooooooo he's like a massive bear of a man

We spent an awful lot of time in bed. Although not until 4th date obviously. Hug on 1st and 2nd, Kissy stuff on 3rd date, proper stuff on 4th

Those were the days.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 21:22

Well I don't really have anyone to compare him to DF, but I would defintely recommend him to a friend.

bellavita · 30/06/2010 21:25

Oh I too only have lemonade spends Bitter - diet lemonade of course.. I live the rock n roll high life me...

Seems a bit cooler tonight - hopefully I will sleep better. I have been having some weird dreams in this heat.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 21:29

Shall we just agree we are both Fabulous and both deserve more money Bella?

I have the patio doors open and there is a delicious breeze tickling my feet.

LizzyLOU · 30/06/2010 21:29

Evening all, good night all
Been to gym, on fat wobbler, came home done some work and now to pay attention to DH...

Have lovely evenings

bellavita · 30/06/2010 21:31

Oooh yes Bitter - that is one thing I do agree on

DH has gone to water the garden, but the grass is already ruined.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 21:45

That's agreed then Bella.

TotalChaos · 30/06/2010 21:49

well it all sounds terribly worthy but somewhat time consuming Bella! I suppose I can definitely see the urge to help others with a difficult situation that you have come through iyswim.

Lizzy - well done for gyming on such a hot evening.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 21:59

Oh and Saf - just read your comment about my glasses - they are fabulous aren't they?

Sleep well my lovley Shiney peeps.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 22:06

Immaculate?

HA HA Ha Haaaaa!

It's a tip. There is a hole in the kitchen ceiling, no baseboards on the cabinets, the carpet is covered in lego and the whole place smells of dog!

But I may get the Tassimo out as it's you.

bellavita · 30/06/2010 22:06

Night Mouse x

I do try and look at it like that Total, but sometimes I just despair. Enough from me now with my droning on.

I am going to go and make my salad for tomorrows lunch and DS2's sandwich so I will say goodnight too.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 22:09

Night Bella.

Night Mousie.

TotalChaos · 30/06/2010 22:09

night mouse! oh not droning at all bella - equally I can also see the danger of feeling compelled to help others, and using emotional energy that could be better used on your nearest and dearest.

the fridge at work got condemned, so I'm never sure if I want to risk a salad in a coolbag in this weather! I'll probably come home for lunch tomorrow I think.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 22:10

Where is everyone tonight?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 22:19

Right, off to watch The Wire with DH.

Saf, I'll pick you up about half twelve tomorrow.

Night all.

I've been at the pub, don't know about the rest of yous. DP's ex housemate (alt name - a friend) came along and he is a big drinker who makes everyone stay at the pub longer than they intended.

DreamsInBinary · 30/06/2010 22:58

Catching up, as I have been at the gym [smug]

Mittz - your poor DS sounds very troubled, but he has you for a mum. Which means he will be OK. I hope you both find the answers soon and I am so, so sorry that things are this tough.

TC - don't even think about it young lady.

Bella - are you OK? You haven't been yourself for a week or so now. Is it the work stuff?

TrillianAstra · 30/06/2010 23:17

The gym?

Too sleepy to even think abut gyms.
