So, here we are on the 63rd(?) thread...

Much intellectual discourse has been held...The big bang theory rewritten...thermodynamics hotly debated, the Election mused upon....

Alongside which, we coax, encourage, arse kick, tease, boost and cajole our way into a healthier lifestyle, with whatever 'diet' or exercise regime suits, and drinking more WATER (are we drinking our water ladies? )..

Please pay homage to our mascot as you enter the thread.

Anyway, where were we? The life and works of Aristotle I believe.....and over to you Total...

Can I join you please ladies. I don't know how much I weigh, it is too much. I will go up in a moment and check.

I am trying to lose weight as we are TTC and I think it will help.

I just eat too much and can't seem to let myself go hungry.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 15/04/2010 11:26

Well he'd have to be pretty patient Shiney. Specifics...he'll do given the man of my dreams is married. Gah. Typical.

It's a long story. I might need to let off steam at some point, things are churning internally. Sort of really, but I am trying to keep positive and focus on the rest of life. Men.......meh!

He'd have to be bloody young to look like you are his Mother Shiney... you are lovely and fresh faced considering YOU ARE NEARLY AS OLD AS ME!!

BitOfFun · 15/04/2010 11:29

Defluff- are you sure the young lady on Trisha wasn't a legal executive?

wastwinsetandpearls · 15/04/2010 11:33

hello BOF.

Right have done the deed while dp supervised. I insisted on having a wee first because that could make a difference.

BattyKoda · 15/04/2010 11:35

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 15/04/2010 11:37

WW is going ok Bella, i am sticking to my points anyway, but i dont know if i have lost any weight as i dont own any scales

my work trousers are loose though, so i suspect i have lost a couple of lbs

CalanthiasDad · 15/04/2010 11:37

Shiney is, of course, talking rubbish. I look like I'm out of her league. And as of next Wednesday we'll be the same age

Cosmic ordering isn't (imho) the best name for it. I think it's a version of chaos majik, but really it's just a way of letting your sub-concious do the work for you.

If you want the wider context, then the sub-conscious links to the meta conscious / greater cosmos / whatever, and that's how it comes about.

If not, then just view it in terms of NLP and what Derren Brown does.

Batty - glad you sorted things with DH2B.

MyCatIsABastard · 15/04/2010 11:37

Hello Batty. I love weddings. Are you getting married in a church?

Hello wastwinsetandpearls - I've read weight loss can help with TTC. Good luck

Bella, lovely shoes. I do love a heal and a peep toe.

Defluff, I didn't see a train, is that the park at Tetbury with the Rhino? We went to one at Guiting Power with sheep and pigs and so on, they did have a big tractor trailer thing we could have taken the kids on. I've not been to the West Mid Safari park, sounds good. I've been to Longleat and I was more excited about the giraffes than DD was!

Shiney I tried cosmic ordering (I'll give anything a go). I really wanted an upgrade at work, I did the whole bit about "may this or something better happen for me and all concerned" and I ended up not getting the job (went to the totally useless but only man going for the job - still makes me ), taking redundancy and then finding out I was pregnant with DS. I would much much rather have DS than the job and it also meant that we got on with DH's business and I have now got a better job starting. So on the whole things turned out great for us. Don;t think I can put it down to cosmic ordering though, really. I just think it focusses your mind on what you really want or need and you make things happen for yourself to get it.

Morning/evening claudia.

Iggi I was thinking about you and wondering where you were.

Quint, that's a lot going on I hope things go ok for you and your family.

Vin, I hope DS is OK for you.

MyCatIsABastard · 15/04/2010 11:40

Oh Mits, I hope you get things sorted and feel happy soon. If Icould I'd get old JS round to your house to put a sparkle back in your eye (and whereever else it may be needed ).

BattyKoda · 15/04/2010 11:42

Hello MyCatIsABastard - Not a church, a country pub It's quite a low key thing. I realised when I said earlier about getting my dress altered it might conjure up images of a Vera Wang meringue type dress... it's not. I got it from Ebay for £30

MyCatIsABastard · 15/04/2010 11:44

Hey Batty, that sounds lovely. I got married in a Hotel in Scotland. Only 22 of us there, it was really great. Nothing wrong with a dress from Ebay. Is it a traditional white dress or have you gone for something different. Got any pics?

wastwinsetandpearls · 15/04/2010 11:45

That sound like my kind of wedding.

Dp and I were supposed to be getting married next summer but we can't agree on the kind of wedding we want.

bellavita · 15/04/2010 11:46

Thank you CalanthiasDad!

Small weddings are lovely I think MyCat, there's not much more at ours.

MyCatIsABastard · 15/04/2010 11:53

Batty, that is a very lovely pretty dress. And what a total bargain!

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 15/04/2010 11:53

lovely dress Batty

your link didnt work though

wastwinsetandpearls · 15/04/2010 11:55

Lovely dress

Lizzylou · 15/04/2010 11:55

Hello Twinset
We all talk our way through hunger pangs, it works

Fleecy, you are impossibly gorgeous, as are your DC and kitchen!

I wish I'd gone skiing when I was young, DH booked me a course at the local dry ski slope a few years ago and I was petrified once we were on the bigger slope, I think I'd have liked it when I was younger and more daring.

Sounds lovely, Batty, Iggi can give you some Wedding tips, she got hitched last week.

TrillianAstra · 15/04/2010 11:56

I think cosmis ordering probably works best when you both ask the cosmos and make positive steps yourself to achieve whatever it is that you are 'ordering'.

Lizzylou · 15/04/2010 11:56

Batty, that dress is gorgeous, really elegant and classy.

TrillianAstra · 15/04/2010 11:58

I think that having a dress altered to fit you is the best part of wedding dresses - nothing will ever fit you perfectly unless you have it latered, and once it has been altered it will be so amazing that it doesn't matter if it was £30 off ebay or £3,000.

Why is it Calanthia now? On the run from a stalker?
