So, here we are on the 63rd(?) thread...

Much intellectual discourse has been held...The big bang theory rewritten...thermodynamics hotly debated, the Election mused upon....

Alongside which, we coax, encourage, arse kick, tease, boost and cajole our way into a healthier lifestyle, with whatever 'diet' or exercise regime suits, and drinking more WATER (are we drinking our water ladies? )..

Please pay homage to our mascot as you enter the thread.

Anyway, where were we? The life and works of Aristotle I believe.....and over to you Total...

How long til your wedding Batty?

BattyKoda · 15/04/2010 10:06

12 weeks. But would like to reach my goal sooner ideally, will need to have my dress altered.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 15/04/2010 10:15

Morning all!

Bloody hell, I leave MN for one day and you go and finish the thread without me!

Just marking my place, will have to have a mammoth catch up later, as am off to see a friend in a bit.

Hope you are all fabulous, be back this evening

Lizzylou · 15/04/2010 10:16

OOh, a wedding, how exciting!

HOw much do you want to lose, Batty?

It was me who mentioned park pictures, Defluff, there was one of all the kids that looked professional, they all looked gorgeous and had lovely clothes on.

wastingaway · 15/04/2010 10:18

12 weeks! We do like a wedding.

Do you have a particular diet in mind?

Many of the regulars have had success with Food Focus

toccatanfudge · 15/04/2010 10:20

oh there you are - was getting a bit worried thought you'd drowned in washing or something hadn't seen you online at all last night or this morning. >>

sorry for hijack

BattyKoda · 15/04/2010 10:23

I'm 9 stone 8lb...want to be 8stone 8lb. The stone I want to loose is the one on my tummy

Prooving difficult at the moment considering the amount of chocolate in the house! Am doing my best though.

Today I have had a slice of soya and linseed toast with fresh orange juice, going to have an activia yogurt in a minute. Then for lunch oatcakes with cheese and pickle and a banana. Dinner will be lasagne, but I will try hard to remove most of the pasta from my portion and bulk it out with spinach. We made muffins yesterday so I doubt I will be able to resist having one of those.

I'm trying to cut out white bread, pasta, potatoes etc as much as possible.

Thanks for the link wastingaway, have registered!

bellavita · 15/04/2010 10:35

I have just tried my June ensemble on - DH liked it - as did the window cleaner halfway through me taking it off - he had just put his ladders up at the window and climbed up... not my finest moment I have to tell you.

Fleecy · 15/04/2010 10:47

Hi Batty! Congratulations on your imminent wedding. How tall are you if you don't mind me asking? Anything starting with a 9 let alone an 8 sounds tiny to me!

Lizzy - yes, it's me and your boys are just gorgeous

Apart from one solitary day off I've been what-free for over a week now. Am looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow morning to see how much I've lost this week. I think after last week's gain I probably will lose but AF due next week so possibly another gain there?

MitsubishiWarrioress · 15/04/2010 10:59

Hello Batty

I have thought about skipping Sazz.. I love it, but it is getting my body functioning that is the problem. And I am subjected to a running commentary whenever I do anything outside as outside space is very public and it makes me very self conscious.

I am spending the afternoon with the mother of a friend of DD's... we rub along OK but it is too far to get DD there and come back and then go again and I have a squillion things to do. I have counselling later so my Day is running away from me already.

Morning i had very little sleep due to finnster moaning and groaning, he sounds like a cat when its fighting with another cat

i think i might be illing too, either that or just lack of sleep and a dry office, as my throat feels scratchy and sore

what is the life outside of mumsnet that you are talking about surely thats just a myth

MitsubishiWarrioress · 15/04/2010 11:05

Hey Vinny... sorry things are not tip top..have you tried the cosmic ordering thread?

If a man lands in my lap (or I miraculously land on his!) I will be converted.....

Poor Finster.. he is too delicious to be poorly for his Mummy...

MOrning ladies.

Probably a bit late for this but..

I'm MyCatIsABastard (he is currently begging for food, ignoring what Ihave just put down - the bastard). I have lost 64lb since last March and am on the final kick to lose another 2 stone (have lost 6lb in the last 9 days). I've been on WW.

Hope your all well. Took the kids to Cotswold Farm Park yesterday (along with my parents and my 2 nieces). It was really good fun, lovely weather (if a tad breezy) and v busy.

I'll go and catch up on the thread now.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/04/2010 11:07

I am in work Shiney, i was going to stay off, but the Finnster said he was fine and wanted to go to nursery, so i got up and got dressed, then he changed his mind and wouldnt go, so i rang my mum and she said she would have him, so i dropped him off there and there were tears again

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 15/04/2010 11:14

exciting for Ted that he will be going skiing though, how long is it for?

Mitts where is this cosmic ordering thread, i have a list

Defluff · 15/04/2010 11:16

MyCat -we go there, its lovely, dd loves the train. Might go again this weekend.

I can also recommend the West Midlands Safari Park. The safari is ace, the walk round bit with the stalls and games and stuff is a bit tired but there's a fairly large 'funpark' type bitb for older children too. We like to go as its less than 2 minutes from our house

Vin - think theres a cold going round, me, dd, and my dad have all got it. Not that there's not always a cold going round. And quite what me and my dad have to do with your sore throat I have no idea

PS There's a girl on Trisha at mo who apparently has been 'solicitating' what the hell is that? If you're going to be a prostitute at least say it correctly

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 15/04/2010 11:19

fluff, i suspect i will catch it anyway, due to my illing alot lately because of thyroid issues

MY SHOES HAVE ARRIVED -THEY ARE FABULOUS!!

Pic on profile.

Sorry about the Finnster Vinney, you both must be shattered . How is the ww thing going?

BattyKoda · 15/04/2010 11:22

Fleecy - Thank you I'm 5'4". The stone I need to loose is only on my tummy though!

Hello Shineon - Nice to see you too! Not at all insulting . I'm feeling much brighter thank you. [Hope you've been putting into practice the 'following to the loo' technique]
