So, here we are on the 63rd(?) thread...

Much intellectual discourse has been held...The big bang theory rewritten...thermodynamics hotly debated, the Election mused upon....

Alongside which, we coax, encourage, arse kick, tease, boost and cajole our way into a healthier lifestyle, with whatever 'diet' or exercise regime suits, and drinking more WATER (are we drinking our water ladies? )..

Please pay homage to our mascot as you enter the thread.

Anyway, where were we? The life and works of Aristotle I believe.....and over to you Total...

ClaudiaSchiffer · 15/04/2010 05:49

Hi Iggi, 200 stone, cripes! Lay off the cake

I've just been for a walk with the dog into the village to buy stamps. It is a glorious Autumn day, bright sunshine, cool air. Blackberries on bushes etc etc.

I have eaten, Museli, cheese and biscuits, some rice crackers and tiny bit of dip. Also had 2 huge glasses of Metamusil, I am SUCH a fan . Can you get it in the UK?

Very about the ash closing all the airports- DP woke me up to tell me this morning, but I said "Oh, yes, someone on our thread said it was everywhere". He despairs that my portal to the world seems to be mumsnet. And that it is better than BBC 24

MitsubishiWarrioress · 15/04/2010 08:32

There's a world outside of Mumsnet BoF?

Iggi.....how are you Mrs?

Gosh, I am sluggish in the mornings. Any tips please. It took me 1 1/2 hrs to get going yesterday. It might just be the hols but I need something to kick start me. Sex would be good but not possible at the moment, so I guess something dietry or supplement based.

Glad it was easy to resolve Shiney.

J is 'middle aged' hmm.... well we do mature nicely with age so start taking Berocca or something... you young things just can't keep up .

I like the signs Claudia. I love this in times of stress. It's my theme tune. Have a good meet

Alicetheinvisible · 15/04/2010 08:33

BOF - DH is the same. He comes home and says (this was his latest) "Well, the general election has been called for May, thought i had better tell you" "Yes, i know" idiot! It is often me saying to him, have you seen such and such happened and him not having a clue. I get it all from MN and Radio1

Knackered, need bed but no chance, back at some point, have a good day

TotalChaos · 15/04/2010 08:33

morning! must confess that these days my main news portals are Mumsnet, Daily Mail website and Metro . Must start buying proper newspapers again instead of trashy sleb mags.

TotalChaos · 15/04/2010 08:33

double espresso Mitts?

TrillianAstra · 15/04/2010 08:37

Poor old Iceland, they're not having a very good time of it are they?

Hope it's all blown over (literally) by Monday!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 15/04/2010 08:37

Real coffee makes me come over all peculiar Total, bit I might give it a shot .

Lizzylou · 15/04/2010 08:48

Claudia, that looks like Fibrogel, is it nice, does it work?

Got loads to do today then off to see my menfolk, nicely rested though, full 8 hours sleep no interruptions, bliss.

Trills, I am not feeling the love for Iceland, I'm afraid. Thieving buggers.

bellavita · 15/04/2010 09:14

Morning

Claudia - no we cannot get Metamucil here.. we always get some Metamucil wafers though for a friend of DH's when we holiday in the States. I think you can get it off ebay but it is tres tres expensive.

BoF - did DD have a fab holiday? Is she over her jetlag yet?

Have a lovely time Lizzy with your boys

Got on the scales this morning, I know, I know, only supposed to get weighed once a week (official weigh in is Sat) I have lost some more weight . Have had a small amount of fruit and fibre with a sliced banana and skimmed milk for brekka. Will be a chicken salad for lunch and a roast dinner for tea (no roasties for me though).

Am worried now about Sat and Sun - we are going to a friends on Sat night (have just said to DH that I will drive so I can avoid the drink) and Sun we are going to my parents - I know she is doing steak milanese style with salad, but my mum will moan that I am not eating much and she will take umbridge if I don't have some dessert.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 15/04/2010 09:18

Can you do offsetting like some of the diets do Bella? So you can relax a little but the day before and after you are really careful?

Morning by the way x

OP posts:
bellavita · 15/04/2010 09:22

I think I am going to have to Mitts, it's just that I am on a roll at the moment and whilst the going's good and all that....

and morning to you too

right, I am going up to make the bed and tidy up.

Catch up with you later girlies.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 15/04/2010 09:23

Morning/Evening I think it must be like Fibrogel Lizzy and it works splendidly .

Great song Mits, dds and I just had a dance to it. I find I need 3 cups of tea and a berocca (AND metamucil) to wake up in the mornings.

I would have a small helping of pud Bella and like Mits says, just eat a bit less the day before/after. Mums can be very unhelpful re diets.

Sorry if this is totally out of sync, am trying to catch up

Five - not sure whether I envy you or not... the house sounds fabulous, as does the lifestyle of having lots of time for dcs, but I am so rubbish with strangers I just couldn't cope with people in my house. I don't even like friends coming round unless its been arranged. I used to have a friend that 'dropped by'[shudder] just have a weird phobia about it

Vinny - my parents are exactly the same, my dad calls me 'fattie' constantly. Also he'll say things like 'of cCOURSE SHE wants a second helping', or 'OBVIOUSLY SHE'LL have cream with it, the fattie' etc. Seems to be joking and I always laugh, but it destroys your self esteem.

Bitter - glad you got through it okay, was thinking of you. BTW Whats a shred??

Everyone who cares about the velocity of come - she has bum length hair !! :D

Defluff · 15/04/2010 09:46

Thought I'd copy and paste from last thread, save my little fingers.

Thank you to whoever mentioned the park photos, the one where she's under the blanket is at the end of the 15 minute sulk where she lay with bum in air under a Dora blanket in the middle of the park. Nice.

Boffffffffffffffffffffffffff you're back

wastingaway · 15/04/2010 09:54

Morning lovely ladies!

Woo Bella, you really are on a roll!

DH home later, can't wait to see him.
I've shaved my legs. Ah romance!

Ready for my coffee too now.

BattyKoda · 15/04/2010 10:01

Hello...

I'm trying to loose weight and need a kick up the backside. I've paid homage to your mascot (). Can I join in? I'm nice

Getting married soon and need to loose a stone.
