So, here we are on the 63rd(?) thread...

Much intellectual discourse has been held...The big bang theory rewritten...thermodynamics hotly debated, the Election mused upon....

Alongside which, we coax, encourage, arse kick, tease, boost and cajole our way into a healthier lifestyle, with whatever 'diet' or exercise regime suits, and drinking more WATER (are we drinking our water ladies? )..

Please pay homage to our mascot as you enter the thread.

Anyway, where were we? The life and works of Aristotle I believe.....and over to you Total...

No...I love Liverpool Docks...

It would just be too cool to live there.

I did a thread about MN not long ago, and it's turning face, and was (I suppose not surprisingly) accused of being a woman hater. But I just don't get it. It gets really vicious, and people were saying 'oh get over it' and that makes me so sad. I very rarely go on the wider MN. I know there are some amazing stories of support but the general trend is not good IMO.

BoF.... I am sorry if you feel you can't be around, you are lovely and much missed. Love the 'squeaking meep' though....awwww (( ))

I will Shred again later...

SandyToksvig · 19/04/2010 18:05

Oh look! I am still Sandy....

DeFluff · 19/04/2010 18:13

Lizzy you rude girl

Bof - glad to hear not at me, would never want to upset any of you lot. I was down last night too, felt a bit like old school days I think (oh yes I was just so popular with my slightly alternative ways). I hope you get sparkly again bof. I'm going to try drinking a bottle of baileys later, usually helps

Total will definitely try those then, thank you, and yes i like graphic novels too (I am a geek with thigh high boots, I like to branch out ocasionally).

DreamsInBinary · 19/04/2010 18:17

Have you read Neil Gaiman's Sandman graphic novels, DeFluff? They are fab but I'm not sure whether you need to have first found them in your teens.

SandyToksvig · 19/04/2010 18:19

Total.. the 30 day shred is in the post...brace yourself..

Where's Bella?

VinegarTits · 19/04/2010 18:20

Bof have you been to your GP? you sound like me, always illing and run down, its worth getting yourself checked out

I tend to stick to this thread when i am feeling low, its a jungle out there, hope you feel better soon

Mitts why are you a woman hater? again

TC yes i work by riverside docks

SandyToksvig · 19/04/2010 18:27

VT.. I am NOT a woman hater, but I have felt that MN has been prone to this trend of unpleasantness for a while with quite a few people leaving/flouncing/hiding on regular threads and started a thread about it. I was, I suppose, quite direct, but there had been a bit of a scourge of posters trying to avoid 'the sisterhood' and I felt we were doing ourselves a disservice.

Apparently I am oh so wrong.
This is the ultimate in a matriarchal community and look at it.....

I made the mistake of suggesting we could be more 'civil' towards each other....

Ach, I don't know. I like it on here. I started an AIBU about a dog issue and it was like a dog fight within 15 posts... Not for me.

Mitts - ta very much re:shred. MN is (and as long as I've posted here) has been somewhat of a curate's egg in regards to sisterhood - the best and worst of stereotypical feminine society....

I've long avoided the main run of threads, by and large, and would only solicit opinions for fairly trivial matters from the MN massive. Have had valuable, and in some cases, life-changing support from the SN board posters.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 19/04/2010 18:49

I was Sandy, but now I'm Mitts again.

Bella's here

BoF - hope you feel better soon - gp visit?

Vinny - a date oooh I will be nervous for you >

I had a Mitts chopped salad for lunch today, 0% yog and strawbs for brekka and a small amount of spag bol with a huge salad for tea. An apple, banana and an orange during the day.

We have 12 teachers off that are stranded ranging from Hong Kong to New York.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 19/04/2010 18:57

'MN massive' I like that

I suppose most people have hearts of gold when push comes to shove, and lots of threads needed for the rich tapestry and all that...

I am too lazy for confrontation.

I had 8 crackers and cottage cheese, followed by low fat rice pud with stewed apple.
Yum.
2 1/2 pints of water.

Where IS Bella?

VinegarTits · 19/04/2010 18:58

Oh mitts dont take it to heart, bunch of bitches imo (present company excluded) you are lovely, one of the loveliest posters on here

traceybath · 19/04/2010 18:58

BOF - hope you feel brighter soon.

I never quite understand why some people are so vicious on here and the whole 'words on a screen' is just a load of old tosh. I do think some people just enjoy being mean and hurtful.

Luckily I mostly post here and in S&B and that tends not to be too controversial .

Nice day today - parents dropped in for lunch on way to cornwall after holiday to malta postponed. Was so nice we had lunch in the garden.

DS1 back to school tomorrow - hurrah.

Right off to do bedtime and will then catch up properly.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 19/04/2010 18:59

Awww..thanks VT!

And I second what Vinny says Mitts

DeFluff · 19/04/2010 19:04

Mitts - you're the cutest ever and you know it, you cutie.

Vinny - how could you not even acknowledge my style advice for your date?!
Is it because you've seen my profile pictures?

VinegarTits · 19/04/2010 19:07
VinegarTits · 19/04/2010 19:10

Defluuf i dare not wear a corset for the office, and maybe i will save the thigh high boats for our second date (if there is one)

i have decided on a pretty dress with black tights and black mary janes, not to dressy for the office, but pretty enough for a lunch date

bellavita · 19/04/2010 19:11

Blimey, some young hussy of a bird from DS1's tutor group is chasing him on fb tis all a one way street at the moment - it is probably going straight over his head

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 19/04/2010 19:20

Hope everyone had a good day? I have ordered my first (and probably last) Ocado delivery for tomorrow, with a 15% off voucher.

I was at the prices. It's worked out the same as my usual shop even with the discount.

The quality better be as good as everyone always says or I will not be happy

DeFluff · 19/04/2010 19:34

Vinny - don't make me post the gold hot pants pic again that Trill likes so much

Sandman - no, but have seen them I'm sure, will go google.

Bitter- you toff, its Asda round here. Well, actually Tesco, havent quite sunk that low yet. Keep thinking about Ocado but think the neighbours might riot

DeFluff · 19/04/2010 19:37

Total - have bought from them loads, am now thinking about doing a franchise with them

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 19/04/2010 19:38

Defluff - I know what you mean. I'm sure my neighbours will think I'm having a sofa delivered or something.

(Pictures the locals scratching their heads and pointing)
