So, here we are on the 63rd(?) thread...

Much intellectual discourse has been held...The big bang theory rewritten...thermodynamics hotly debated, the Election mused upon....

Alongside which, we coax, encourage, arse kick, tease, boost and cajole our way into a healthier lifestyle, with whatever 'diet' or exercise regime suits, and drinking more WATER (are we drinking our water ladies? )..

Please pay homage to our mascot as you enter the thread.

Anyway, where were we? The life and works of Aristotle I believe.....and over to you Total...

Hooray - have just finished my mile-high pile of ironing.

That Who Is Shiney thread is a bit weird, and got nasty way too quickly. DeFluff - you are better out of it!

Off to bed. Night

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 19/04/2010 00:08

oops! sorry mitts and trills

I think I have walked my brain off today.

If anyone is in Salcey forest and sees a little squirming pile of abandoned brain cells, can you post them on?

I would tell you whereabouts to find them, but apparently, the place is effing huge and easy to get lost in

Slugbrains · 19/04/2010 00:09

looks like we are being invaded again

congrats on ironing pile.

DeFluff · 19/04/2010 00:09

DIB - I really am going to bed now but i keep getting drawn bck into to defend myself. Not sure why but it feels like theres some weird undercurrent. anyway, will definitely go to sleepnow and stop obsessing worrying about it.

Slug - your phrasing was absolutely brilliant

J - the alsatian bit isn't true, I don't think

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 19/04/2010 00:13

Oh yes , well done DIB on the Ironing pile.

That's what faces me tomorrow.

It will be like tackling Everest.

Slugbrains · 19/04/2010 00:13

Defluff have fb you re thread.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 19/04/2010 00:20

See, this is why I think I miss stuff, I'm not on FB.

Slugbrains · 19/04/2010 00:22

bitter this you have not missed. well done on mistery solving.

Slugbrains · 19/04/2010 00:32

bitter how was your day?

wastwinsetandpearls · 19/04/2010 00:50

Gosh I am finally about to hit the hay after doing a mountain of ironing and a ton of school work.

I have not had much MN time today so am lost when it comes to mystery threads and posters. Have had a yummy but healthy day.

We had our fruit and blinis for breakfast - did I post that already. The day is a blur.

For lunch we had stuffed aubergines and the homemade pizzas for tea from the WW magazine again.

Back to school canteen for lunch tomorrow, although our food is great so I will be OK.

Night all

wastwinsetandpearls · 19/04/2010 00:55

Trillian you should know better than sunbeds, fake tans are so good and if you don't trust yourself get a tan done. I bet in this economic climate you can get some deals. I have been wondering whether to start applying the Johnsons holiday skin or whatever it is called,
.

Bella I have not had an advocaat in years, but I now want a snowball before bed.

VT- I would meet him, you have nothing to lose. UNless of course he is an axe wielding maniac and then you have your life to lose. No seriously I would go for it.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 19/04/2010 01:03

Right, off to bed.

Four hours of being lost walking is enough for me. I'm sure I will be more awake eloquent in the morning.

(Is that even a word? I am so tired I'm stoopid)

Anyway, nightynighty night night.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 19/04/2010 03:05

Morning all

ClaudiaSchiffer · 19/04/2010 07:57

Hello hello hello.

I made an executive decision to let dd skive off kindy and we went to Ikea. Had a lovely time and bought new lamps and colouring pens. Totally worth the hour round trip.

How are you today?

jetcat · 19/04/2010 07:57

morning all

Lizzy, glad the boys slept well, and congrats to you all. I did sponsor you, but forgot to use my name from here, so hope you realised who it was

Mini is off to nursery this morning, i can then finish off the packing and we are off

I have just had a lovely but sad email from my old OU tutor. He had to leave mid way through a course due to health issues, but he has been my tutor for a couple of courses. He just emailed me to wish me luck for the exam, and said some lovely things about my work He made me cry He did say what his health problems were, but i dont feel right posting it here, suffice to say it is serious Fingers firmly crossed for him - but he did say he would return to tutoring whatever the outcome, so our paths may cross again. Sorry for rambling, he just really took me by surprise.

right, catch up with you all at the end of the week, be good

Lizzylou · 19/04/2010 08:03

Oh Jet, that is sad re: your tutor, but how lovely of him to email you and say such lovely things about your work. You must have made quite an impression. Yes, thanks for sponsoring, of course I knew it was you!

Claudia, I never go to Ikea, DH just won't step foot in there and he is the one with the credit card Sounds like you had a lovely time anyway.

One of my rl mates on FB has commented on a photo of hers (after I had) and said "MIL" about her Mother in law, now I am worried she is on here! Do rl people use "MIL" normally???

I am about to despatch kids to school/Childminders and then back home to work. I think they need to get back into a routine!

Lizzylou · 19/04/2010 08:04

Oh and Jet, hope you all have loads of fun this week.
Hope that you have good weather

ClaudiaSchiffer · 19/04/2010 08:10

Hi Jet

How sweet of your tutor to give you some positive thoughts on your work. How sad that he is ill.

My dds have just been arguing about who has the best hair.

I have

No I have

Me

No meeee

Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuum etc etc etc

TrillianAstra · 19/04/2010 08:29

I bet you have the best hair Claudia.

LOL at you lot all being 'mum' at me. Am I not allowed to mutter in pointy brackets? I'll have you know that a large part of my PhD was looking at how cells repair damage to DNA that is caused by UV.

I don't know about RL Lizzy but MIL and DD and the other acronyms don't pin you down to any specific 'parenting forum'. (although if you said 'my MIL is an itch' that might point in the direction of NetMums).
