So, here we are on the 63rd(?) thread...

Much intellectual discourse has been held...The big bang theory rewritten...thermodynamics hotly debated, the Election mused upon....

Alongside which, we coax, encourage, arse kick, tease, boost and cajole our way into a healthier lifestyle, with whatever 'diet' or exercise regime suits, and drinking more WATER (are we drinking our water ladies? )..

Please pay homage to our mascot as you enter the thread.

Anyway, where were we? The life and works of Aristotle I believe.....and over to you Total...

SAF, is it possible for you to move somewhere different? Or are there things in your area that you can join to make staying put more bearable for you?

How old is your child btw?

Lizzylou · 18/04/2010 09:59

Oh Wasting, but hey, use it as a motivation, onwards and downwards!

Claudia, I think that might motivate me to get fit

I have to be realy good this week, I want to look nice for a rare weekend away, I don't want my old mates (who have all had kids and seen me thin due to being a chainsmoking student and fat pre and post DC once I started eating again) to think I look horrible. So it's exercise, healthy eating and beauty treatments all week.

bellavita · 18/04/2010 10:00

Wasting, why don't you have a week where you don't have any bread to give you a kickstart?

ClaudiaSchiffer · 18/04/2010 10:01

SAF i will turn up in full make up and high heels

Yup i am a pom, I moved out here 4 yrs ago with dh (Aussie) and dd. Have since had 2nd dd. We used to live in Brighton and dh commuted to London and it nearly killed him. The poor darling was utterly desperate to come back home after 10 yrs in the uk so i thought it best I went with him

Lizzylou · 18/04/2010 10:01

SAF, I know what you mean, I only moved a few miles away but the difference to my and my kids social life was extraordinary. Where we used to live I had no mates and was desperately lonely most of the time.
Here, everyone (almost ) is very friendly and we each help each other out.

Could you move somewhere else?

Oh yes, hope Tracey had a lovely time last night.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 18/04/2010 10:02

Bella, your no bread thing, does that mean you can eat other carbs? Is it just giving up bread that does it??? I can live without bread, just have to have my morning museli.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 18/04/2010 10:04

im waiting for the sun to come out here, its overcast, gearing myself up to get some more jobs done

Alicetheinvisible · 18/04/2010 10:55

What should i do today?

It is sunny and we are all sat in the house. Gardening? Can't go out for the day as DH is on call, but feels wrong being sat inside doing nothing

TrillianAstra · 18/04/2010 10:57

NO flights for us. Bugger.

Slugbrains · 18/04/2010 10:59

trill. Can it be rebooked?

TrillianAstra · 18/04/2010 11:01

Same holiday in May appears to be £300 more, and the rules say we don't have to pay an admin fee but do have to pay the difference if we book a more expensive holiday. Haven't called them yet.
