So, here we are on the 63rd(?) thread...

Much intellectual discourse has been held...The big bang theory rewritten...thermodynamics hotly debated, the Election mused upon....

Alongside which, we coax, encourage, arse kick, tease, boost and cajole our way into a healthier lifestyle, with whatever 'diet' or exercise regime suits, and drinking more WATER (are we drinking our water ladies? )..

Please pay homage to our mascot as you enter the thread.

Anyway, where were we? The life and works of Aristotle I believe.....and over to you Total...

there was one a pool but it got closed down. it had a ramp and everything. Closest to you will be portsmourth I think. Which is a hell of a treck. I spent far far too much time in gosport in my yoof.

We wont have got a new rink if it wasnt for the involvement of NickySlater (yep him wot off telly). Rumour has it his was influential in kicking town councils ass. Got a temp one until the permeanant one gets built.

Slugbrains · 17/04/2010 09:00

I am so glad you have DS back and things are cool with him SaF.. . It is so sad that your Mum feels threatened by his relationship with his own Mum.

Where will you go if you go out Bella?

OP posts:
bellavita · 17/04/2010 09:11

That looks nice Mitts! Think I will have to experiment then for work as that looks a lot easier to eat than what I would normally have at home. Thanks.

bellavita · 17/04/2010 09:13

We will go out into York - lots of nice wine bars and restaurants or we could go to the village about 2 miles away to the pub where I used to work - they do fantastic food (we called in there for a drink yesterday afternoon on our way home from York).

FiveGoMadInDorset · 17/04/2010 09:18

That would have been the one in Tower Park, it was fun aswell.

TotalChaos · 17/04/2010 09:33

slug - I live 30/35 miles away from W school, and lived in North Manchester growing up, so if it's a locality connection rather than an attending that school connection then paths unlikely to have crossed.

glad you had a great time and have your boy back SAF!

York is lovely, enjoy Bella.

TotalChaos · 17/04/2010 09:38

Mitts - ooh could i have the spare of the Shred please!

hellsbelles · 17/04/2010 09:51

Morning all

Bella - sounds like progress. On the lunch front - I do a radish, feta and cucumber salad that is lovely (but requires lots of chewing gum after as your breath stinks). I can post the recipe if you want.

DH has just progressed from underarm baseball throwing with DS to overarm. With the immediate result of injury! So DS is sitting with a bright red cheek clutching an ice pack. He is particularly proud that the stiching from the ball has left an imprint on his check

Slug - what's this about lads

SAF glad you have DS back!

Missing shiney - it's so quiet when she's gone isn't it.

Claudia - did you get those fitflops yet? Are they any good. Oh to have an arse like that woman!

TrillianAstra · 17/04/2010 10:00

Morning all. Tired. Spice rack came in the post and it looks like we need about 3 more.

Skating sounds like v good exercise.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 17/04/2010 10:05

Of course TC.. Do you want to put your Address on FB?

Lol at quiet without Shiney, and BoF....

I am taking DC's to their Dad's. And I have the Jigsaw.... so an afternoon of creative fun later.

You are all very lovely to have as company, I hope you have good mornings.. catch y'all later... xx

Morning crazy people

my mum went for a job interview at a stately home when we were up at the lakes last week, she just rang me to say shes got the job!

its so funny because she is a left wing socialist feminist with a very 'colourful' past as a trade union activist, and it will all be very lar de dar, she has to go and meet the lord and lady of the house

bellavita · 17/04/2010 10:14

Hells - yes to recipe please.

Hey Vinny - how are your jobs coming along? How fabulous for your mum. Will she have to curtsey and call them Ma'am and Sir?

hellsbelles · 17/04/2010 10:15

morning Trils, Mitts and Vinny!

Vinny at your Mum! Though how lovely to work in a beautiful place.

Mitts - enjoy your jigsaw

Right better go.

Lizzylou · 17/04/2010 10:16

Morning all
Everytime I catch up someone calls/comes in to work

Finally worked out who Slug is! Skating does sound good exercise, though I remember being very bad at it as a child/teen.

Bella, DH and I had a weekend away to York a few years back, it was lovely. He bought me champagne cocktails and we had a lovely dinner, nice hotel, it was fab. Such a gorgeous city as well. Lucky you to live so close.

Hells, boys, eh? They wear their war wounds like badges of honour, DS2 shows everyone even tiny scabs

Wasting, well done cross stitch, I attempted to do cross stitch a few times but I have neither the patience nor skill.

at Sazz and KK, Twinset you have never come across as a KK type, but you never know. I agree with Tracey though, she is looking so good at the moment, I need someone to spend loads of money on beauty treatments, boot camps and new clothes on me.

Claudia, an earthquake? Blimey, it is scary, Manchester had a few a few years back, it certainly gave me a fright.

SAF, glad your course went well and that your DS was pleased to see you.

Total, me, you and Slug must be in a big triangle with Manchester in the middle.

Mitts, will have a look at that salad idea when at home, won't come up here.

Bitter, one pizza doesn't excuse you from the cult, I'm afraid! Oh and the 30 day shred gets easier, I haven't ached since I did the first one, not quite gone up to level 2 yet though!

Everyone else, hi and hope you're OK.

VinegarTits · 17/04/2010 10:28

Just about to start my jobs Bella best be off then, have a lovely day all

Lizzylou · 17/04/2010 10:29

OOh Vinny, we went to Holker Hall yesterday, never been before, it was lovely. I'd work there!
