So, here we are on the 63rd(?) thread...

Much intellectual discourse has been held...The big bang theory rewritten...thermodynamics hotly debated, the Election mused upon....

Alongside which, we coax, encourage, arse kick, tease, boost and cajole our way into a healthier lifestyle, with whatever 'diet' or exercise regime suits, and drinking more WATER (are we drinking our water ladies? )..

Please pay homage to our mascot as you enter the thread.

Anyway, where were we? The life and works of Aristotle I believe.....and over to you Total...

are you going to pet your friends, Fanny?

I feel that that comma( , ) was perfectly placed.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/04/2010 21:54

Hello everyone

Am I still allowed to stay on your lovely shiney thread please?

I have been rubbish for the past few days both posting and eating but promise I will be good from now.

Can I stay? Please? And If I can, what have I missed?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/04/2010 21:55

Absolutely Goober, actually I will do, she managed to get extra tickets fro the rugby matche, Wales vs South Africa, by mistake and offerend them to me which is a perfect present for my Godson.

wastwinsetandpearls · 16/04/2010 22:01

Lizzy it was easier than I thought, you just have to keep your hands wet to stop the rice sticking and not over stuff them before rolling. DD was a dab hand by the time we had finished.

Lizzylou · 16/04/2010 22:02

Hmmm, sounds fab, Twinset. I LOVE sushi.
I think the boys would eat it if they helped make it.

Really am off to bed now.

wastwinsetandpearls · 16/04/2010 22:04

5gomad would love to meet up for a weekend, we have been busy here as I have managed to track down some family I had lost contact with. It has alll been quite intense. We have also been helping my gramdfather move.

All out food this week has come from WW magazine, even the sushi.

I am going to see if I can go to a meeting as well.

wastwinsetandpearls · 16/04/2010 22:05

I think we overdid the wasabi paste, I did not realise how hot it was.

Lizzy, not too obvious don't fear. I hate that stir crazy feeling too.

I have to announce that I have just put the final stitches to a very difficult cross-stitch picture that I began in 1993.
I shed a little tear. It's an enormous weight lifted off of me. I've got to wash it carefully and get it framed for a Christmas present yet, but the stitching is done!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/04/2010 22:48

Well done, I really need to crack on with the tapestry rug that my parents sent me to Hungaru with in 1999

wastwinsetandpearls · 16/04/2010 22:51

I have abandoned cross stitches all over my house.

Slugbrains · 16/04/2010 22:56

evening.

this feels very sereal.

I have gone from having a laugh with the lads to cross stitch.

I am going to catch up a bit.

wastingaway · 16/04/2010 23:00

I've chucked lots of other half-done stuff, but this one was nearly finished and then languished in cupboards and corners through numerous house-moves, and it was some ridiculous fear of not knowing how to do a particular stitch that stopped me completing it.
I can now do the french knot!

Slugbrains · 16/04/2010 23:02

Right done last 20 posts. will go to reaad rest in a mo. I have countless pieces of cross stitch that need done. two in progress. One of which was meant to be a wedding present. I started it before ds was born but it never got finish. the lady has since devoirced and remarried. So it will need a new home. As for sew machine projects they too are countless. And i think there is 5 in progress pieces. There is only so many hours in the day. But i intend to finish some of them as it is hugely satisfying. Especially seeing them framed.

wastwinsetandpearls · 16/04/2010 23:04

I am nightmare with sewing projects as well. DD and I have made a skirt, all it needs is a zip. It has been on the back of a chair for ages.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 16/04/2010 23:09

Right bed time.

TerryWogansCock · 16/04/2010 23:09

Slugbrains · 16/04/2010 23:13
