So, here we are on the 63rd(?) thread...

Much intellectual discourse has been held...The big bang theory rewritten...thermodynamics hotly debated, the Election mused upon....

Alongside which, we coax, encourage, arse kick, tease, boost and cajole our way into a healthier lifestyle, with whatever 'diet' or exercise regime suits, and drinking more WATER (are we drinking our water ladies? )..

Please pay homage to our mascot as you enter the thread.

Anyway, where were we? The life and works of Aristotle I believe.....and over to you Total...

Hi Shiney, thankfully it is just the same as living-together life. Not been ordered to make the tea or anything yet! (as if)
We are just more broke than we used to be..

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/04/2010 22:24

Glad you had a lovely time iggi.

Night.

Defluff · 15/04/2010 22:35

Shines - where you going the weekend??

TotalChaos · 15/04/2010 23:11

course we will miss you, take it you have exciting plans then

iggi - I charity shopped my small clothes on the basis that if I do need to replace them it will be a joyful experience. Also I find that cheaper stuff will do and be flattering in smaller sizes, you just don't have to be as careful as with the larger sizes iyswim.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 15/04/2010 23:13

Hi everyone.

Another sunny morning here down under. I used to dash out every sunny day thinking I had to make the most of it - like I did in the UK. But 3 months of waking up to sunshine rather makes one calm down about it.

Iggi Switzerland sounds lovely. We had a 5 day honeymoon too. No kids at the time, just skint.

Shiney, enjoy your weekend.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 15/04/2010 23:26

Morning Claudia

how long have you been in Oz? where are you from originally?

TrillianAstra · 15/04/2010 23:29

Whatcha doing at the weekend Shiney?

Morning Claudia!

Just got back from seeing a friend's new flat - drove there and it was the longest drive I've done on my own (under and hr each way but I am a lame driver).

We fly on Monday, in theory...

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 15/04/2010 23:36

hows that cloud of ash looking Trill? are flights still suspended atm?

TrillianAstra · 15/04/2010 23:39

Acc to the travel report that cut into my music in the car the airports are all closed til at least 1pm tomorrow and possibly later.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 15/04/2010 23:43

im sure they will be back to normal by monday though

TrillianAstra · 15/04/2010 23:47

Hope so- loks like the weirdy Monday flights were a good thing!

Has anyone been watching the debates? Fancy doing a summary?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 15/04/2010 23:50

Man, I am knackered

I am off to bed. Have wonderful days ladies. You are all worth it

toccatanfudge · 15/04/2010 23:52

sleep well bitter - not surprised you're knackered.

Iggi999 · 15/04/2010 23:52

Monday is a long time away.
Not watching volcano programme on BBC2 at mo as it looks like something I will have juvenile nightmares about (there is a volcano where I live, though methinks probably been extinct for a few million years - but you never know [weak grin])

TrillianAstra · 15/04/2010 23:57

You live near a volcano Iggi?!

Iggi999 · 16/04/2010 00:03

Extinct volcano (apparently 350 million years ago, just wiki-ed it, so I may be exaggerating the threat somewhat.
If I catch any ash from Iceland, I'll let you know.

toccatanfudge · 16/04/2010 00:06

does it by any chance have a rather lovely loooking castle stuck on the top of it Igg?

wastingaway · 16/04/2010 00:21

Evening! Off to bed in a mo.

Gordon looks funny and doesn't connect with people well.

David is shiny and talks good, but equated China with Iran in the nuclear threat stakes and said Mothercare twice.

Clegg looked at the camera and said nothing of substance but apparently won.

My mince was off so we had to have take-away.

Not sure if I'll get on much for the next few days as DH is home til Sunday now.

Goodnight!

Iggi999 · 16/04/2010 00:21

Well familiarity breeds contempt, but I suppose it is lovely at times! You are in the right place.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 16/04/2010 00:25

Hope you get off on Monday Trills, it's been all over the news here too.

Vinny, I have been here for nearly 4 yrs, I met dh (an Aussie) in London years ago and we decided to move back out here when dd1 was born. We were living in Brighton, which I loved.

God, the dds are driving me nuts this morning, rowing over who is the mummy.
