Welcome all- old and new- this is our fifty-something Healthy Eating thread, where we chat, support each other's ascent into vibrant slinkiness full of bright eyes and glorious glowing skin etc etc...

Post as much as you can, and you'll be sure to catch the gossip and the gamut of human emotion that make up the Shiney threads. They have grown from one woman's noble quest to ditch curly-wurlies for breakfast into a veritable Mumsnet phenomenon, which has actually seen some of us lose rather a lot of weight and get much healthier...

Not me- I am still trying to get there, and have a permanent cold, but hey, let's not split hairs: there are other regulars who are a positive inspiration! So jump in and find us again, or join us anew, and follow whatever approach suits you.

I sent squeezy a facebook massage way back when she had been awol for a couple of weeks. She massaged back and said rl was very complicated at the mo, but would hope to come back soon. That was months ago... I keep going and posting on her wall.

Jaq needs to come back!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 21/03/2010 11:21

Bella I have the same problem with DH, at one point I stuck all the crap that wa slying around in a bin bag. Told him that he obviously doesn't want it so would chuck it, this made hom sort stuff out for a while but then went back to usual, now I only wash when he sticks it in the laundry pile but I hate it as it makes our room look so messy. While I am having a mini moan, he piles things up by the sink instead of putting them straight in the dishwasher.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 21/03/2010 11:48

I am cross with my DS. I stayed in the village so he could spend time with his mates and he has been horrible to me. Treated the house like a pig sty and laughed at me when I have tried to talk to him about stuff. I am actually really hurt.

Bloody hell . I came down to a sleepover and they had walked crisps into the carpet, just dropped rubbish on the floor, spilt drinks and left them, and misused furniture.

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/03/2010 11:48

Thanks mitts. i think i have explained myself a little clearer now but really not sure. How are things with you? have you done that letter yet?!?!?

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/03/2010 11:50

Oh mitts. (sorry x-post) That is not good! Is this a general trend or could it be a reaction to the events at school?

He knows I am irritated and cross, and I have actually imposed 'sanctions' which I rarely have to do now. I don't think it is a trend and I think I have invested too much emotionally in what has happened..I expected him to be happy and loving, and he has been cocky, rude and disrespectful.

But it is too nice to be grumpy. Shall go and catch some rays and watch the frogs humping AND I am having cake!!!!!! so there.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 21/03/2010 12:04

Oh and for what it is worth..I admire your parenting and it sounds like it works. Clear firm boudaries, YOU are the parent and they have a clear concise awareness of what is right and wrong...
DS does now.....

FB- discussion about bad habits....

DidEinsteinsMum · 21/03/2010 12:15

does BB know if girl or boy. Tres exciting. It must be spring. babies look cute and cuddly at the mo.
There are about 20 odd frogs in the pond at the mo, and they are singing up a storm. Only a few are girls and they are being pounched on. At least it is not warm enough for th fish to be at it too.

Boys and DH have made egg mayo and are now eating them, I may throw up my pitta bread, it bloody stinks.

Mitts, glad you have clamped down, am sure he is v mixed up at how school have treated him. NO excuse, I know.

TrillianAstra · 21/03/2010 12:27

Well done being firm Mitts, he is old enough to know how to treat carpets and furniture.

Goober · 21/03/2010 12:30

I am just back from cardio aerobics class. Have had a peppermint tea and a banana. For breakfast I had a pink grapefruit.
La la la la.
Just felt like it.

Mits, you must be so pissed of, but am glad you have cake and shagging frogs.
