Welcome all- old and new- this is our fifty-something Healthy Eating thread, where we chat, support each other's ascent into vibrant slinkiness full of bright eyes and glorious glowing skin etc etc...

Post as much as you can, and you'll be sure to catch the gossip and the gamut of human emotion that make up the Shiney threads. They have grown from one woman's noble quest to ditch curly-wurlies for breakfast into a veritable Mumsnet phenomenon, which has actually seen some of us lose rather a lot of weight and get much healthier...

Not me- I am still trying to get there, and have a permanent cold, but hey, let's not split hairs: there are other regulars who are a positive inspiration! So jump in and find us again, or join us anew, and follow whatever approach suits you.

I'm allowed 20 points a day

Have just logged a satsuma, was a bit confused as it said 2 potions = 1 point, but i only had 1 satsuma so that should be 0.5 points right?

might take me a while to get used to it

Lizzylou · 22/03/2010 11:20

Didn't she go a while ago, Shiney, not seen her around on this thread for a while am sure?

Yay, Vinny! You will be looking lithe an extra lovely in your new car

I am chuffed, sort of, ordered some clothes, including new grey skinny jeans and they'll have to go back....too big

I do feel thinner, just trying not to weigh too much as I get disheartened/obsessed.

Even SIL (not one to give compliments and in a newborn baby fug now anyway) said yesterday
"You look really nice" in a shocked voice.

Right, am all motivated and kicked upthe bum.

I am going to be 37 and fabulous, oh yes sirree

Alicetheinvisible · 22/03/2010 11:23

Good luck Vinny!

Something very strange has just happened. There is someone on MN who i chat to occasionally on different threads and he knows 'of' me in RL (i have a horse that belongs to his friend) anyway, a few months ago i got a FB friend request from a bloke who is in racing and i couldn't think who is was, but thought he was someone i knew through the racing iyswim? Anyway, i am now 99% sure he is this MN person, so was looking up his FB and his friends list to see if he was friends with the horses owner, and he is. The strange part is that was this morning, and i have just had a call from the horse's owner, out of the blue (he phones a few times a year) - spooky!

TotalChaos · 22/03/2010 11:26

Hells - hope the appointment goes OK next week, and finds something minor but easily fixable. I have lots of aches too, but not as bad as you, as it is on and off, triggered by humidity and I suspect wine (small quantities).

dems - well that explains why I don't remember replying to you then!

shiney - rofl at lizzylou, and I agree, avoid obvious control garments just in case, go for something less obvious, light control, maybe in black.

yank - sorry your DS is still poorly with his ear

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 22/03/2010 11:34

Just spoke to the Mini salesman. i pick my new car up on Weds! Woohooo

dawntigga · 22/03/2010 11:36

Have been trying but have fallen off the wagon today.

Breakfast was Reese's Cups

In my defence I'm working on 4 hours sleep so my judgement isn't what it could be.

Great Lizzy.. the proof really is in the pudding isn't it.. at sister in law..

Spanx shiney? Umm I wouldn't But having worn medical corsetry I am not a fan of being trussed up even to make a good impression..I think this sort of thing looks good in a casual way Although depends on what you are going to do.

Hells, likewise I hope you get your aches sorted, they are a drain. And mice.

The link is good but it wasn't me hells.

Ooohh.. the Spa looks lush though

So surely ideal first date pants!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 22/03/2010 12:31

Lololol.... Hmmmm well given what I read on dawntigga's profile [nosy], perhaps she could design sexed up spanx, so you get the support but no if the moment comes to reveal all

Thank you Iggi!
I kept going to post about the "peehole" in a pair of spanx and chickening out.
But yes, there is easy access in a pair of Spanx

You want me to wear Spanx too, Sazzles?
Was thinking of wearing some tena lady things to avoid toilet breaks.
Vinny I think every tiny segment is probably 1 point. You'd be better off eating a pizza.
