Am sick of my messages never getting through - I have had 7 attempts to reply to Cakes' last post- am starting a new thread ....
this is what I wrote anyway.....

righto, this i my 7th attempt to reply on this thread - everything keeps disappearing !
My assessment is on 25th,and am told to allow two hours for it,crikey !!
Saw a lady in town yesterday who was having rads and finished at about the same time as me and she's just seen the onc. for her follow up - they are running very behind I know- so I emailed to ask about mine - I tie myself in knots in trying to be assertive yet not too needy or a nuisance - I suppose I just like to feel that everything is done in order. Am not worrying about my health -am sure breast is fine and dandy, it's more my emotional state which troubles me.
Anyway, they have made me an appointment but it's at the same time as my assessment so have emailed back and left a phone message...arghh !
Special thoughts for RWU today and of course KurriKurri - hope all ok..and of course you Cakes and Morph.

Argh bummer about teh chemo RWU, sorry about the infection and I hope it clears up soon. Enjoy the chocs though (best cure, I believe).

Great news about the work Cakes, but sorry there's a bit too much of it!

How about this. DH's boss has done the most fab thing. He has arranged for us to be sent two caterer-made ready meals for the whole family per week for the next 3 months! They are coming from this site and look fab. We get to choose what we want too! What a wonderful thing to give us!

Got two girlfriends coming over for dinner tonight cooked for me by another friend. Aren't people lovely!

reallywoundup · 25/02/2010 20:13

mmm- they look good!

Sorry Mas, i forgot....

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/02/2010 21:49

crunchy nut cornflakes, mmmmmmm! don't tempt me lol! Right must turn off pooter and get into bed, tablets consumed so let's see if the sleeping tabs work.. eyes feeling a bit droopy...... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

sandripples · 26/02/2010 00:10

Sorry about your infection RWU - all that lovely food should do the trick!

And what fantastic food for Pennies - a great and so kind gift.

I rested this afternoon and now can't sleep! Thoroughly enjoyed the Chris Packham evening and since you have shown such enthusiasm for this (topic and presenter!) I'll report a bit more. He showed about 200 photos and explained context of each - amusing as he spends hours at a time in mud/v cold water/infested wild areas to get the right shot. But then he is very critical of his pix and explains how they never reach perfection - mentioned his OCD tendency a number of times but I think he is just a perfectionist. Anyway there were some great photos and I found it interesting to hear him talking in such detail about composition etc esp as I was doing a short evening course in photography when I got my Dx in December and became distracted.

The pictures were as much anilmals as birds and he was entertaining, at times provocative and I found him lively and fun to listen to. Better than on telly in fact. I find Kate Humble a bit irritating and would rather CP presented without her really!

Poor DH confessed he was too exhausted after work to come to the show in the end so I went with a friend. I could get used to being a lady of leisure not working as it always used to be me too tired to go out during the week....

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/02/2010 07:31

oh it does sound a lovely, interesting evening SR - I don't mind Kate Humble really, didn't like Bill Oddie much though. He does sound a perfectionist - I can identify with that, and separate it from my OCD - I usually fret over every piece of work because it could be better -I think that is perfectionism, but it might be influenced by OCD !!

We are nearly up to 1000 posts on this thread - shall I start the third one soon and link to it on here ?
Have good days everyone

wow nearly 1000 posts i'll let you do a new thread MAS, i'd muck it up somehow.

I feel like a new woman after 8 hours solid sleep, i've already stripped the boys room, changed the beds, cleaned, dusted and hoovered (even washed down the window frames and windows , done the same in dd's room. Just came to a halt when i saw the mountains of laundry that needs to be sorted in my room! but i will get onto that in a bit. This may be noraml behaviour for some but i am a housework slattern!

Cakesandale · 26/02/2010 10:18

No, RWU, that would not be normal behaviour for me AT ALL! Well done!

MAS, yes, could you start a new thread this one is starting to cause my pooter a few probs sometimes. I can't do it, will foul up.

Pennies: totally envious of DH's lovely boss. never had one as good as that. (Is it a woman )

SR, drooing over the thought of Chris Packham knee deep in mud. But I guess that's just me.... sigh...
