People of the world, join hands, join our TOTALly fabulous healthy eating thread.

We are a group of MNetters who wish we lost a pound for every post we have made on this thread since our benevolent leader started her SHINEY threads many, many months ago now.

I am Syc, and I was once deputy although life has slightly got in the way in the last month or so. But, inspired by our recent TOTAL yoghurt bonanza, I'm back and on the wagon.

Join us, we are a friendly bunch but like to waste as many calories as possible through moving our digits very swiftly over the keyboards and posting like women possessed

All denominations here, so whatever way you want to lose weight, maintain or just focus on healthier eating, you will fit right in.

Do you think I should apologise?

Sorry - got to go out now, but will return to this to see what you all think later this morning.

TerryWogansCock · 06/11/2009 09:12

BIWI dont apologise, i totally agree with what you said to her

I have posted too now because i have been thinking about her since she begged for that money on trinitys thread and it is making me

TerryWogansCock · 06/11/2009 09:17

Lizzy dont you dare give up for free yogurt for me Vinny, she never eats yogurt anyway

(and i will let the pensioner comment slide because you are so lovely and kind )

hellsbelles · 06/11/2009 09:49

BIWI - don't apologise - you were very diplomatic and I can understand exactly why you posted.

Lizzy- I"m like you - I was feeling very sorry for her situation and thought she had just made a silly mistake with her posting on Trinity's thread....now I'm just

TerryWogansCock · 06/11/2009 10:05

I am not as diplomatic as BIWI, I sometimes have verbal diarrhia me

I still think she had a cheeky listing the price of the uniform items

SparklyAlice · 06/11/2009 10:12

Hello ladies (and Terry's cock, of course )

I have not read through i'm afraid, but hopefully i can redeem myself slightly as i have just added 2 new recipes to our recipes thread here
I haven't tried them yet but they look really good (and very low in cals)

SparklyAlice · 06/11/2009 10:25

BIWI - well done for standing up to someone like that. I think your post was very diplomatic actually. Unfortunately she got defensive and the meaning was lost on her, but i think it was brave of you to try

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 06/11/2009 11:07

Apparently I have a 'damaged, repressed inner child' that I need to get in touch with, so I am thinking of buying myself a spacehopper...

hellsbelles · 06/11/2009 11:12

TMW - sounds like a plan I can occassionally be found testing that DS's spacehopper is safe!

Lizzylou · 06/11/2009 11:27

I always wanted a spacehopper, think I may have to get the boys one to release my inner child.

Have fun TMW

DS2 has a throat and a Chest infection, he had a very high temp at the doctors (39) and he said if he kept it to take him to hospital . Luckily the ibuprofen I'd given him just before the appointment kicked in at the pharmacists and he started calling a man "Father Christmas" (he did have a very bushy white beard), so all OK. When we got home the doctor rang me to make sure his temp had gone down which scared me somewhat.
I am so glad I stayed with him now. Poor little mite.
We have some scented candles lit to remember Grandma.

Lizzylou · 06/11/2009 11:27

BIWI and Terry, I agree with you both re: that thread.
Am feeling v foolish now.

BecauseImWorthIt · 06/11/2009 11:29

Thank you for your perspective and support. I gather from some comments that said poster has previous - is that the case?

Sorry your DS is so unwell Lizzy - and don't feel foolish. It was a lovely gesture that you made.

at the space hopper ...

TrillianAstra · 06/11/2009 11:44

Poor DS2 Lizzy, I only have a sore throat at the moment and that's horrible enough. Have they given Abs or do they think it's viral?

TerryWogansCock · 06/11/2009 11:44

Sorry about your ds Lizzylou and having to miss poor Grandma's funeral

Lizzylou · 06/11/2009 11:48

He has ABs and an inhaler to clear his airways, he hasn't got asthma (that we know of), though DH had it badly as a child.

Topping him up with plenty of calpol and nurofen to keep his temp down, oh and Vicks vapour rub which he loves having applied, makes him giggle .

He is tired and just sat next to me watching TV, but we got very little sleep so no surprise there.

Just came on so quickly, he had no cough/cold before yesterday.

I rang PIL and explained this morning, they understood.

Have been to get lemsip, and to gawp at the ridiculous level of excitement produced by a Primark opening.

Lizzylou · 06/11/2009 12:03

How are you feeling Trill?
Lemsip is good stuff, hope you feel better soon.

TrillianAstra · 06/11/2009 12:07

I expect I'll feel worse before I feel better, it's nt that bad yet but I've seen what it did to DP.

I would never normally send money or stuff to someone I didn't know in RL - Trinity doesn't count because I've spoken to her on facebook a lot when I was unemployed and I know she is real (I know trolls can be clever but they can't make up names months before there's a report of a traffic accident and death on BBC News). I am just a harsh person. You're just too sweet and nice Lizzy (don't knw what you actually did, the threads in question got deleted, but assuming you offered suport/help/kind words, none of whic is necessarily a bad thing).

Oh and I don't want it back, I gave it in good faith.
I will just avoid her from now on in.

TerryWogansCock · 06/11/2009 12:20

Poors Trills, hope you dont suffer too much, get plenty of vit-c down you and lots of rest

Lizzy you are too nice, but the fact that she has taken money from you has made me even more i wonder how many others sent her money? no wonder she is doing her chritmas shopping, she is probably rolling in it now

Lizzylou · 06/11/2009 12:23

Just realised that sounds like such a boast post, sorry, will get it deleted.

I think I was the only one, I don't want it to go any further though, so please don't mention it?

TrillianAstra · 06/11/2009 12:25

It's not a boast, it's an acknowledgement that you are grateful for what you have. Plenty of people have these things but still think they are very hard done y.

TrillianAstra · 06/11/2009 12:26

I brught more lentils in for lunch but really don't feel like it. What would make me feel better?
