People of the world, join hands, join our TOTALly fabulous healthy eating thread.

We are a group of MNetters who wish we lost a pound for every post we have made on this thread since our benevolent leader started her SHINEY threads many, many months ago now.

I am Syc, and I was once deputy although life has slightly got in the way in the last month or so. But, inspired by our recent TOTAL yoghurt bonanza, I'm back and on the wagon.

Join us, we are a friendly bunch but like to waste as many calories as possible through moving our digits very swiftly over the keyboards and posting like women possessed

All denominations here, so whatever way you want to lose weight, maintain or just focus on healthier eating, you will fit right in.

{{Hugs for Alice}} and i hope your ride blows the cobwebs away

I have just had Syc's leek & mushroom toast and added about 3 slithers of chorizo chopped up. Was lovely and made a nice change without too many additional calories.

Thinking of it we should email and request some freebies from philadelphia (a number of people have had the leeky toast/pasta) and Sharwoods (rice noodles in the thai noodles and thai chicken broth VT and i like).
Shiney - have you dared email Quorn? We need a template

SazZaVoom · 08/11/2009 12:43

Oh and Bella - glad you and DH are all patched up again and off out for some nice KFC retail therapy

Flamingo - have you tried boxing or skipping? Both good for releasing pent up stuff. Mind you the weather we are having is just shocking so no wonder you are feeling a bit pants and snappy

Trills - enjoy your angel delight and i hope it perks you up. I LOVE custard when i am ill, lovely and comforting

VinegarTits · 08/11/2009 12:52

Thank you Sazz, i have a confession to make

I was on my out food shopping at 4pm yesterday, only i got distracted by promotional codes and internet shopping, therefore i didn't make it to the shops and ended up ordering a take away

I got Singapore noodles and only ate half last night and have just finished the rest of them for lunch

I am going food shopping now, and i will get healthy salads and fruit to make up for it

BitOfFun · 08/11/2009 13:11

DP has gone out for stuff for a cooked breakfast- yum! I should feel a little bit guilty, but I don't really- oops! Still, it will be grilled...

Sorry you are feeling rubbish Alice

I'm in the mood for snuggly clothes and a good movie- can you all tell I had a skinful last night?

jetforkesandbonfires · 08/11/2009 13:41

Junior is studying The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas at school, and when we were down in London, she got me and my friend to watch it one night - we all cried It was so beautifully filmed and acted. To cheer us up after that we watched Paul Blart Mall Cop - that is so funny

Alice, I have only ever had one UTI when i was a kid, so cant really remember what it was like, but Junior has kidney reflux, so has had quite a few Before she started her long term antibiotics, i noticed that every time she had fizzy pop, she got a UTI and ended up in hospital The consultant didnt seem to think there was a link, but we stopped the pop anyway. A few weeks later, she was sick of not having any diet coke, so she had some at school. Guess what - she ended back up in hopsital with a UTI. COnsultant took us a little more seriously then, and since March this year (her last diet coke break no more UTIs!

Hope you feel better soon x

BoF - i have a cooked breakfast from Asda once a week on a Monday - cant wait for tomorrow I still take my tablet, so have to be careful with what i have, but i sooooo love the sausages

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2009 14:06

Eating nicely chilled Angel Delight and watching trashy American teen drama.

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2009 14:09

Think I had a UTI once but ages ago so no advice to offer there. I'm not actually a big fan of cooked breakfasts. I do like bacon though.

jetforkesandbonfires · 08/11/2009 14:23

what flavour Angel Delight Trills?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 08/11/2009 14:24

UTI's are the devil's arse. I had them a lot when I was in hospital for a long time, due to inactivity as I was in bed for 2 1/2 months. Nothing make you feel quite so ill on so many levels. So take care Alice.

I love cooked breakfasts at any time of day. Well balanced meal cooked right!

Buterscotch.

Well done Shiney. I have had quorn mince before but not a fillet. I guess it's not unlike the http://www.birdseye.co.uk/fresh-frozen-food/product/original-chicken-chargrills/coated chicken fillet things you get, right?

I read a really weird novel once where the main character always ate butterscotch angel delight before anal sex. Strawberry was consumed ordinarily.

There you go. Just thought I'd share that, Trills.

Just had a text to say that code has now expired- we must have bankrupted them!

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2009 14:41

Thanks BoF, that's really helpful.

So I guess the ones that I haven't had confirmations for aren't gonna happen...

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2009 14:51

Sorry, I meant "Thanks BoF, that's really helpful ", and yes it was in reference to the anal sex, but it was sarcastic

BitOfFun · 08/11/2009 14:53

I tell a lie, it's still going, apparently. It just didn't work for a particular item, according to a friend I'd told about it. I wonder if the orders will be processed after Monday when real human beings are cottoning on to our cheekiness?

My Littlewoods and Marshall Ward are still 'order being processed', and somehow I doubt I will get the discount on them.

BitOfFun · 08/11/2009 14:57

I'm presuming banana flavour put him in the mood for oral...

VinegarTits · 08/11/2009 14:58

Marshall ward wouldnt let me register and pay by credit card, they made me open an account with them, then when i checked they had not taken the discount off, so i rang them and they said the whole thing had been declined feckers

Have had 5 confirmations emails from the others, and the full amount has been taken out of my account, so i am waiting on pins to see if the discounts get refunded

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2009 14:59

5 confirmations? How many places did it work?

VinegarTits · 08/11/2009 15:00

We should contact Philadelphia, ds1 eats it by the bucket full (hes a veggie like shiney) i should have shares in it
