People of the world, join hands, join our TOTALly fabulous healthy eating thread.

We are a group of MNetters who wish we lost a pound for every post we have made on this thread since our benevolent leader started her SHINEY threads many, many months ago now.

I am Syc, and I was once deputy although life has slightly got in the way in the last month or so. But, inspired by our recent TOTAL yoghurt bonanza, I'm back and on the wagon.

Join us, we are a friendly bunch but like to waste as many calories as possible through moving our digits very swiftly over the keyboards and posting like women possessed

All denominations here, so whatever way you want to lose weight, maintain or just focus on healthier eating, you will fit right in.

Just tried it at Great Universal and it didn't work. Could be that they've now made there be a min spend.

VinegarTits · 08/11/2009 15:12

My mum checked when the code runs out, she said it is tomorrow, but they have expired it already if they think it had been over used

On the Grattan site, did you have to enter your card details before putting the promotion on?

DD unplugged the freezer on tuesday (she had a friend around and they were playing in the spare room).
I had shopped on Sunday.
AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH.

VinegarTits · 08/11/2009 16:13

Oh no TMW, what will you do?

I am watching house clean is your house, how can people live like that

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 08/11/2009 16:15

Well, once I let her out of the cupboard under the stairs, I think I have a thing on my insurance for such events.
No wait a minute, I am going to get in the cupboard under the stairs!!

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2009 16:15

If there was really a lot most home insurance policies do freezer contents, but it would only be worth it if you had a lot of expensive stuff in there.

There's a marathon of Come Dine With Me on More4 soon...

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 08/11/2009 16:19

TMW I would be crying right now if any of my little brats treasures did that.

You have all given me a craving for philidelphia now. God I love the stuff, I can just eat it straight from the pot, yummy creamy goodness I've turned DS too as he now asks for phili instead of butter or marge when having a ham, salad sandwich. Loving the phili recepies, although my cheescake using phili is the best. I've even put the phili cookbook on my to buy list .

I feel shitty today, stinking headache that just won't budge no matter what I take, I'm aching from head to toe, got a slightly sore throat,a heavy achey chest, and bizarely my eyes are stinging like nothing I have ever known. So I'm filing myself with vitC and bracing myself for a stinker of a cold.

Right I'm off to raid the fridge.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 08/11/2009 16:25

Nothing 'expensive' Trill, just Two weeks of meals and bread/milk type stuff.

And it smells.

And my lovely chilli soup, and my smoothie lollies....

Waaaahhhhhhhh!

Hope it is just an over night thing Jaq, take care.

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 08/11/2009 16:32

Oooooh chilli soup, that sounds nice.

I've just realised how hungry I actually am.

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2009 16:36

I didn't mean posh, just that the excess on insurance probably means it might not be worth claiming.

Smoothie lollies, mmm.

Have something healthy Jac! Not just philly on fingers out of the tub!

VinegarTits · 08/11/2009 16:40

I am hungry now too, grilling some chicken to have with a nice little salad and some home made coleslaw

Watching marathon come dine with me and enjoying my last minutes of peace before the finnster comes home

bellavita · 08/11/2009 16:44

Jaq - hope you feel better soon, I too have the mother of all headaches which has not shifted at all.

Trill, I adore Angel Delight. I could eat it by the bowl full.

DH has ordered his new glasses, he needs reading and distance ones. Thing is, they are on bogof, if you buy the same lenses, and of course DH needs different ones. The word for glasses is expensive. He should get around £60 back from work though

We trailed around 4 sofa shops and by the last one I had really had enough. We have a P shaped conservatory and wanted something to fit in the bay bit, I did not think sofa shopping could be sooo bloody difficult. I really wanted a love sofa (room for 2) and a chair, but it put it out of our price range. Anyhoo, gone for just a sofa in a different range and can fit four on nicely and they have promised it before xmas.

TrillianAstra · 08/11/2009 16:55

Glasses are so expensive.

I am watching CDWM too, but I think I might have seen some of this set before.

DP has "won" a bike on ebay so might be going off to pick it up. Why do they call it winning? It's not a competition. It's not free. He is buying a bike. Exchanging real money for it.

DreamsInPyrotechnics · 08/11/2009 16:56

How odd - I have spent the day feeling as though an army of builders are drilling into my right temple. Was so bad earlier I had to lie dowm, and I rarely get headaches.

Mmm, butterscotch Angel Delight [retro emoticon]

SparklyAlice · 08/11/2009 17:06

Didn't get to ride this afternoon as AF arrived with a vengence and really didn't feel up to riding a very fresh horse whilst feeling so feeble. Does explain a lot though i suppose, oh well, gin and a roast dinner will make it all better......

What is happening about the secret santa anyhow?

Oh, and going back to the other day and people trying to get rid of unwanted stuff, does anyone know anyone who likes Hello Kitty? My ex-stepmum got me a bag and a purse for my birthday both HK and i really am not the sort of person who likes 'character' stuff. I haven't taken it out of the gift bag yet

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 08/11/2009 17:10

I like Rice Pudding, not a big fan of Angel Delight.

Sorry about headaches. I massage Lavendar oil into my temple. I contemplated self styled EST with my Tens machine on one occasion but sense got the better of me lol!

What do you want for it SA? I could find a use for those. If no one has claimed before me that is.

Sorry you are not feeling much better.

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 08/11/2009 17:12

Oooooh maybe it's something in the air, what I really don't get is why my eyes feel so bad (yes I know staring at the lap top isn't helping).

I haven't made it to the fridge yet, in fact I haven't made it anywhere today. DD1 came through a second ago and asked "mummy why aren't you getting off the sofa"
