Norma, goodness, poor you.

Such lovely, lovely ladies who have had shit role models.

Be proud that you are such good Mothers.

jetonthedancefloor · 21/10/2009 18:20

thanks guys - you have made me well up - and apologies for the thread hijack. Agree with you 100% Norma - there is no way my kids are going through anything like i did. There was once when i had to stay in hospital for a minor op - there was literally no-one to care for them, so the nurses wanted to arrange for them to go into foster care I almost cancelled the op, and luckily Grandma came up from London to babysit.

Anyway, i was only posting my lifestory to say that not all benefit claiming single parents are like that, and didnt feel quite brave enough to post it on the actual thread. But, feel i am among friends here.....

And sorry you went through similar stuff Norma

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 21/10/2009 18:22

And you too Norma...

NormaSknockers · 21/10/2009 18:24

Don't be Jet, I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm just determined to make something of my life & not let the bastards get me down

Jet that's so crappy that they wanted to put the DC in foster care while you had your op!! So pleased Grandma came to the rescue!

FFS! Is that little fish? Queen of MN my arse! I can't help thinking that if there were a Queen of MN she would have impeccable spelling and grammer twat

Oops, just realised where my post ened up and it isn't very appropriate

Jet - I have had issues with my mum too, and recently found out she used to neglect me, starve me and leave me at home on my own aged 18mo. It is not nice but i think it makes you a better person if you can get through it all, which it seems you are doing remarkably well.

thanks alice. Apparantly my bitch birth mother is pissed off with me as i am the only one out of her 9 kids in care who havent got in touch with her FFS - the last time i saw her i was 5, and it was the one and only supervised contact she actually turned up for!

But, i really dont want to turn this into all about me, so give me a kick give me a nudge if i start waffling again! Just feeling all nostalgic as seeing old friend tomorrow

jetonthedancefloor · 21/10/2009 18:41

i think it was very appropriate Alice

VinegARGHHHTits · 21/10/2009 19:04

SpookyAlice · 21/10/2009 19:07

TrillianSlasher · 21/10/2009 19:08

Has he been upgraded from the mascot of our thread then?

SpookyAlice · 21/10/2009 19:12

Of course! A man of TWC stature (sp?) cannot be merely a mascot

TrillianSlasher · 21/10/2009 19:16

Hello . We have been out to Pizza Express 2 for £10. Good time had by all.

Just catching up with one of my fave programmes - Masterchef.

You are all bloody marvellous mothers .

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 21/10/2009 20:41

Bella - did you have the pizza with salad in the middle?

I agree about fab mothers. I'm not a mother but hopefully one day I can make things different for my child/ren like you ladies have. Hats off to you guys

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 21/10/2009 20:55

Hello all

Just proved to myself that I can do 4 days without MN.

Just a bit peed off at the moment as we set the ball rolling May 2008 for our barn conversion and still haven't got it so having had long discussions over the last few days we have pulled out of that as we are having to make commitments about spending money and that was going to be the biggest part but I don't know how much it is going to be, so that is that, but we are going to have a fabulous garden and kitchen and I can get some great curtains and bed linen for our room and we can replace our kitchen table.

And I have applied for my dream job of being a librarian (part time) to compensate for our lost bedroom next year.

TrillianSlasher · 21/10/2009 20:58

More importantly - Bella did you have more wine than you are used to? We'e not all bloody marvellous mothers.
