For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

stuffitllama · 14/02/2009 18:38

oh have fun, girly girls
hair is gorgeous I'm sure

Fairlady cystitis is so AWFUL ..I really feel sorry for you
cranberry juice can often have so much sugar though
do you have to plough on or can you get some extra sleep?

I can't list because I don't know but it's a LOT. Been to a wedding and had the veg options but all was chopped up and spicy so I really don't know what any of it was. But I look six months pregnant so it must be six or seven portions.

The wedding was glorious. Saris were unbelievable. Easily the noisiest function I've ever attended.

Happy valentines day to all of you. Impressed by all attentive partners.

stuffitllama · 14/02/2009 18:39

that was for you fairlady and pesky bairns
I am at peace with my parenting as mine are asleep
we got our yelling and ingratitude out of the way earlier

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2009 18:42

fairlady i don't know if you know about drinking water with bicarb in
it makes the urine less acidic so should in theory sting less - it does taste fairly bad though
cystitis very miserable, poor you
a hot water bottle can be comforting, and just drink as much as you can

Guad and Boco...have a fabulous night with the Sailors

stuffit...I can get sleep, but if I wake in the night than I am fooked...

oh, and es just came to me and apologised for being an arse....bless...and now I feel all bad...lol

stuffitllama · 14/02/2009 18:44

marvellous Toot
what a sweetie

FairLadyRandySlut · 14/02/2009 18:45

thanks girls

oh, bought sugar free Cranberry juice....got of course evil splenda in it, lol...hohum...

hmm...bicarb water, not sure...

it's really weird, because the peeing itself isn't to bad, until I come to the end of the wee and then there seem to be a spasm and that is painful, and of course this feeling you need to wee all the time and then only being able to produce small amounts...

stuffitllama · 14/02/2009 18:45

I didn't know about the bicarb, that's a handy tip

FairLadyRandySlut · 14/02/2009 18:46

muesli vouchers sound interesting...

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2009 18:46

there was fuck all to eat in ipswich despite lemur's excellent suggestions
don't go to ipswich for vegger food, chaps
so to compensate i have just eaten vast quantities of everything i could get my hands on
am feeling cold and tired, but no longer hungry, and happy about muesli

lemur we only managed to do ipswich museum in the end! the town hall gallery was closed and we ran out of time to do christchurch doodah
apparently it cost us £27 to do the trip in the car club car
we used to spend £75 a month just to have the old car sitting on the drive doing nothing, but it still looks a lot in black and white doesn't it? i like having trips out; I think having to pay per trip is going to be inhibiting, rather

stuffitllama · 14/02/2009 18:48

stuffitllama · 14/02/2009 18:50

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2009 18:50

stuffitllama · 14/02/2009 18:53

are you thinking of getting another one or not
I would be on the whinge permanently if I didn't have a car
do you live near "everything", shops, and friends and park and so on?

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2009 18:54

mail order muesli is superb

Belg was good for not having car -- we cycled a lot and it was fun in the winter. Through the woods to school and arriving like horses stamping and huffing in the frost.
Different story here.

Guadalupe · 14/02/2009 18:55

stuffitllama · 14/02/2009 18:56
