For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

No chance of catching up, so hello everyone instead and hope you're all surviving the cold and snow.

Actually, it is sunny here now and the snow has almost gone.

Hey Toot, was lovely ot meet you in rl, and look forward to doing it again

Night, Feather, by the way, the bag you made is gorgeous.

BBBee · 03/02/2009 16:04

oh yes i did do a list once. 100 was at the bottom and i think pink was next and because of bacon sandwiches and she was so cross she got pregnant or something. and people were cross if they were near the top, and probably cross to be in the middle and not be extremes. it was a bad idea - in fact it was boco that suggested it.

guad - you are very grown up - but in a dysfunctional way rahter than a sensible way. i might be like that one day.

sorry for all the ill health.

have been thinking about avi's lusty lunch.

stuffitllama · 03/02/2009 16:29

I remember The List it was nothing but trouble and badges and Pit

I wasn't on it and willl never make it onto any ropey old list with my baked beans and soggy coriander

baked beans (3)
banana (1)
juice (3 but 1)
and a lot of green beans after midnight which count but drops my yesterday count to very little indeed

my oven broke while full of garlic chicken and onion and dauphinoise, there was powdered glass in all the food, and we were out at two football sessions so there was time only for beans

Boco · 03/02/2009 16:29

You put me near the bottom Bee. It was the incentive I needed to strive for more. You'd be a good life coach.

DD2 just said to me 'I wish I was called Midnight Trumpet'.

Boco · 03/02/2009 16:31

Oh dear Stuffit, bad news about your oven. And that dinner sounded lovely - before the powdered glass.

stuffitllama · 03/02/2009 16:35

DS1 has written a song when he should have been doing homework. He is grounded to his room with no screen all week for homework recalcitrance. And he has spent two hours writing a song. It is about life slipping away through shaky hands and being indefinite from the start. Oddly it is quite melodic and upbeat. I don't know what to make of all this.

stuffitllama · 03/02/2009 16:39

I have to listen to the song now -- but does this convey approval of him not doing homework? I'm quite pleased he didn't just go to sleep in a strop and did something creative but at the same time I should be stricter. Or something.

TooTicky · 03/02/2009 16:40

Well, songwriting is more creative than doing homework [rebel]

i hope you can fix/replace your oven straight away. It is hard to live without one.

Guadalupe · 03/02/2009 16:42

lolol at pink got pregnant because she was cross. I vaguely remember the list but can't remember my placement so I guess I wasn't that cross.

A dysfunctional grow-up, Bee, is this something to strive for?

I am craving cake today. So far I've had jamaican ginger and a lemon slice and boiled egg with marmite soldiers. Complete nursery food. It must be my dysfunctions. I am having tofu stir fry for dinner so will redeem myself slightly.

TooTicky · 03/02/2009 16:43

Yes LR, it was lovely
Great, fantastic, brilliant, unmissable.... (let's make all those east-side-of-the-country people jealous )

Guadalupe · 03/02/2009 16:43

at the glassy chicken. That is a great shame, stuffit.

FrayedKnot · 03/02/2009 16:43

I went sledging on a tin tray

I have a rather sore derriere

stuffitllama · 03/02/2009 16:44

I agree but I feel as though As A Parent it is my duty to be less mutinous than my instincts direct

yes they do it in a day here but there will be something a bit wonky about it

like yes it's connected to the gas but you have to have the oven and hob on at the same time ..but i have hob in the meantime so can do pasta and veg

how are your arms Toot

stuffitllama · 03/02/2009 16:45

oh everybody came bursting through the door in a flurry of snow

FrayedKnot · 03/02/2009 16:45

Stuffit you probably need to ring Louis Walsh. Sorry about your lunch.

TooTicky · 03/02/2009 16:47

arms and legs feeling less bruised today
one of those mystery things

stuffitllama · 03/02/2009 16:47

oh flip does anyone understand musical notation?

TooTicky · 03/02/2009 16:49

what about it?

TooTicky · 03/02/2009 16:52

well?

BBBee · 03/02/2009 16:57

oh can i just point out the discord from my list way back when was not of the "oh I am deeply offended by your lack of loyalty and understanding) which is so popular at the minute, but more of the kind of "fuck you you fruity cunt bitch" that we do so well on 10/10.

as you were.

Boco · 03/02/2009 17:04

I'm not sure I understand. Are you complaining at the lack of cussing on the thread now? Is it upsetting you?

Oh {{{{{cunt bitch}}}}}}

TooTicky · 03/02/2009 17:06

I didn't understand either but I was too polite to say so.
