Original post by the lovely FrannyandZooey

For anyone who wants to boost their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - If you don't normally eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 mins is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restictions on what you eat as long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving your energy levels and hopefully mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you are getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

I am In Print!

I have had a tip published in MN artcile in the Guardian. And the best thing is, it's almost my real name (there are a couple of people in RL who call me MollyRoger )

TinyBlueFeather · 30/01/2009 13:11

What? todays?

I think your name is quite lewd.....but I like it..

OP posts:
mollyroger · 30/01/2009 13:13

TinyBlueFeather · 30/01/2009 13:15

Yeah well....Roger always makes me smirk....whatever the first name .

It'll cost ya!

Right, Prodigal son returns at 3pm. Amd trying to make the house look less of a slum welcoming for his return.
Shout at me - I only have an hour and a half to perform miracles.

TinyOnlyABitBlueNowFeather · 30/01/2009 13:22

Oh, Toot, poor you, What time is he coming home?

He will be under the weather just now but much better when he gets home

Heaps and heaps of piratey get well vibes to him {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

TooTicky · 30/01/2009 13:23

sod the house, just make him cake

TooTicky · 30/01/2009 13:24

ooh, the blueness is receding...now, if i just add a little red you can be a pinky-purple feather

TinyOnlyABitBlueNowFeather · 30/01/2009 13:28

OH!! I HAVE to go for a run tonight. I forgot to take a video back into town and it is due back today, (honest mistake, guv!).

What a shame....

TooTicky · 30/01/2009 13:29

they will let him out when he has kept down water and food, hopefully not too much longer, but these things can take ages

TooTicky · 30/01/2009 13:30

run gently...

TooTicky · 30/01/2009 13:33

and i don't know how he is going to chew anything
we have soup at the ready for later

TinyOnlyABitBlueNowFeather · 30/01/2009 13:34

Cut things into tiny bits so most of the breaking down is done.

TooTicky · 30/01/2009 13:38

hmm yes, just hope they let him out!
Poor boy, he was so bright and confident this morning, even a bit excited

Guadalupe · 30/01/2009 13:40

Wow, that thread filled up quickly.

Starfruit? Weren't we having Pointy's title this week?

Sounds stressful, Mou. Dh drinks, and indeed, smokes every night but he's not grumpy with it. I'm the grumpy one.

I told the builders and they think I'm mad but there you go. I said to dh that I would save money by conceding to a wooden floor rather than the tiles I want which would require digging down and concreting to get the right level. He is not pleased with me either.

Guadalupe · 30/01/2009 13:46

Poor ds, toot. Hope he feels better.

TooTicky · 30/01/2009 13:49

Guad, I refuse to elieve that you are ever grumpy.

TooTicky · 30/01/2009 13:49

believe

Tatties · 30/01/2009 13:56

Oh dearie me what the hell is going on? I am taking much in from any of the posts because my brain can't cope with this new-fangled nonsense, but TooT how are you? And TWF ((()))

Molly (I don't know if I will ever get used to that name for you) - you have me in tears with Cloudbusting. I love Kate Bush

ahundredtimes · 30/01/2009 14:09

I don't know this song, but I don't think I knew last weeks either.

Molly - LOL @ my song.

I was thinking that I should come back here and tell Guad that I am gloriously imprecise in RL, but now I don't want to. I want to be Mary Poppins, a bit absolute, a bit magical and quite a lot dark. Excellent. Actually everyone's songs made me laugh a lot. I liked BBee's hugely, was very good.

I've eaten two eggs today in honour of Franny's diet. That's it. Not impressive.
