For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello Toot, I am ok.

How are you?

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:14

Hello all!

I would be footling in front of Wallender but I am meant to be working ... so obviously I am MNetting instead

Hello TooT - how is poor DS eye?

FrayedKnot · 14/12/2008 22:14

I can;t do massages, though. Sorry Mou.

Hello TooT!

How is DS2?

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:14

Oh, y'know.

Have you still got snow?

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:14

No snow, never had snow
roof did leak yesterday though, on toddler who was sleeping over

have you got hot water yet?

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:15

Ds2's eye is shockingly bloodshot but he is keeping it open and barely covering it. He has been v. lively

FrayedKnot · 14/12/2008 22:15

I just re-read the last few posts - we sound like we are at a tea party

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:16

Hot water? No. That's not going to happen for a bit. Shower is independent though and mostly good tempered.

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:17
FrayedKnot · 14/12/2008 22:17

TooT, that sounds good - that he is happy to keep it open, and his energy levels are normal

Footling = present participle of "Footle"

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:20

TooT, DS sounds marvellous

Thanks for the petit fours but I'm wine not tea at this time of night!

Glad you're footling not frotting ... shades of Mou...

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:21

I can never remember what frotting is.

Don't tell me.

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:22

No, don't want to put you off your tea
You might splutter and burn yourself

FrayedKnot · 14/12/2008 22:24

There's a square word thread in active convos, TooT, I expect they can tell you

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:25

Really?

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:27

Square word? I have always thought "snack" and "squat" were square words...

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:30

Square words are naughty words according to FK's ds.

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:34

Oh, I see, well then I don't suppose snack is, but squat could be in some circumstances

SuperBunny · 14/12/2008 22:36

Toot, why dfo you not have hot water?

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:37

oh, heck, I'm so stupid, just realised...square, hell off to bed I think...

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:40
SuperBunny · 14/12/2008 22:41

Night night Daisy

Is there always CAPITALS in the OP? I never read it have never noticed it before.

Guadalupe · 14/12/2008 22:46

Is the oil for your heating and hot water, Toot? Do you get it filled once a year or something? I don't know anything about oil.

I quite often don't have hot water as we don't have a combi boiler and I forget to turn the hot water on. Also, it runs out halfway through running a bath and if you forget and do something else for a minute then it turns to cold and there's a window of the cold getting it to the right temp before it turns and then no bath, well, unless you want a cold one.

What a lot of waffle. Sorry. I am drinking a peronelle blush. It's very nice.

SuperBunny · 14/12/2008 22:47

Oh, oil tank. That sounds expensive. My mum has one.

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:48

Oh TooT, thanks for the stroking, I needed that!

Heating sounds very complicated, we have hot water, but it came through the ceiling this weekend bad weekend for leaks - the roof leaked onto sleeping over toddler and the shower leaked into the sitting room and the porch leaked into the kitchen

enough for one weekend I think
