For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Toot, have you made any of the truffles you linked to? I want to try some but am not sure which recipe to go for.

Boco · 14/12/2008 22:48

Bee was here! I always miss Bee - you haven't crashed any more cars have you? Come back and tell us about your job and what you're doing! COME BACK!

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:50

Yes, the OP always has capitals, it makes fruity bitches seem a bit fierce I think!

Guad, I thought you said peronelle bush and had unsettling images of you sipping something leafy and branchy and spiky and not very comforting at all....

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:50

I'm back! Computer went all slow and I had to restart. I'll just catch up...

SuperBunny · 14/12/2008 22:52

cockathons and bush drinking, goodness.

I must pay more attention to the OP in future.

I'm feeling sleep but I have to go to work and I don't wanna. Ugh.

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:54

Guad, that sounds complicated.
Yes, heating and hot water but we do have the wood burner in the front room and the actual heating isn't up to much anyway.
Yes, one fills them once a year or so I suppose, technically. But we're not good at it because it is a lump sum.
You're drinking a what? You do live exotically.

Where was I?

Oh yes, Daisy, that sounds horrendous!!

Boco - hello!! Yes, let's haul Bee back.

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:55

Work, SB? Oh yes, I forget you're on a different timescale.
No, I haven't made any truffles. I ought to but meals seem enough of a challenge atm.

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:55

SB -you're worse than Mou!

TooT - quite annoying, yes, and very expensive I fear... and rather wet

Guadalupe · 14/12/2008 22:55

I've finished mine and have my eye on dh's glass. Half a bottle wasn't enough.

Do you really think the titles make us sound fierce, daisy? I think quite the opposite, like we sound a bit wafty and vague and meek.

Guadalupe · 14/12/2008 22:57

That sounds a pain, Toot. Drink sounds exotic but is actually just cider with blackcurrant something or other in.

Boco · 14/12/2008 22:57

I saw three pips. Now there's a strong title. [stares]

Guadalupe · 14/12/2008 22:57

Oooh, that is a good one. Why didn't you mention it before?

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 22:58

Oh that sounds nice Guad. I like cider.

I suppose it is a little shouty, but in a jolly gym mistress sort of way.

Boco · 14/12/2008 22:58

[scowls]

I believe I have mentioned it before.

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 22:59

oh, I think the EAT 10 PORTIONS and the 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE (AT LEAST) is a bit sort of shouty

then you get on here and realise it's all knitting and waffle

except poor Sally from Accounts may not think so!

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 23:00

crochet

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 23:01

honestly, the number of people who can't tell crochet from knitting

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 23:03

My gran always said much the same, usually with "stupid girl" thrown in ...

Guadalupe · 14/12/2008 23:04

I can't do either so I am impressed with both.

SuperBunny · 14/12/2008 23:04

I am NOT worse than mou!

LOL, Toot. People always tell me I'm knitiing when I am sitting with a crochet hook. And even after I say, "Actually, it's crochet" they say, "Is it? Wow, it looks hard. So what are you knitting?"

poinsettia99divine · 14/12/2008 23:06

Anyway, I am sure we chose wool for a cardy that FMV was knitting

Guadalupe · 14/12/2008 23:06

You are not worse than Mou, Mou is the worst today with all the streaking and horns. She'll tell us she likes goats next.

SuperBunny · 14/12/2008 23:06

Oh, I couldn't vote for Three pips because among batting people, pips are Pipistrelles and bats are not remotely festive since they are likely to be hibernating.

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 23:06

SB, I get that too!

TooTicky · 14/12/2008 23:08

No, that was me and I was crocheting
