For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Mou's right. You'll have to learn from this time and don't do it again!

Your go mou - nearly finished!

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 01:02

go on...pink, finish me off.

pinkspottywellies · 18/12/2008 01:08

Yaaaaaaay!! I've just won my first game!!!!!!!!!!! Not by much though! Go again? I'm logged off now but start if you want and I'll play tomorrow

Right. I'm going to bed now! Maybe that unfinished Scrabble game was keeping me awake!

pinkspottywellies · 18/12/2008 01:09

Oh by the way - have you seen that thread about the joint party wierd!

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 01:12

I'll start a new one pink...hope you get some good sleep. (blows a kiss)

SuperBunny · 18/12/2008 01:15

Joint party? Link!

I'm watching The Commitments. DS still unwell and not sure what to do other than lots of water.

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 01:28

think this is it

I am going back to bed, at least to rest.
Goodnight SB....xx

SuperBunny · 18/12/2008 01:29

Oh, I though you meant joint as in spliff

mangolassi · 18/12/2008 08:00

Morning all!

pmsl at how disappointed you sound at the not-that-sort-of-joint party, SB. It must have been about 10 in the morning there, too.

Sorry ds is still sick. Which reminds me, haven't seen boco for a bit, is there any news about her lo?
(And TooT, great news about ds. Next year is ages away).

muesli banana uncunting mango
5-berry smoothie

Dp's birthday today, dd is very upset that it's not her birthday again (was in October). Luckily my mum sent her a card with dp's, and dp came to work to get his present (new phone) after dropping her at nursery. Avoidance all the way.

I want to get home from work early tonight, first need to finish a report and bizarrely, a pass the parcel game for work Xmas party... please help me with some silly forfeits here

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 08:31

Gosh you are a lot of depraved reprobates!
Slatterns and spliffs .
Think I might make it my resolution to get as much corruption in the coming new year...anyone want to aid me in my slide into depravity?
Makes a start with a huge bottle of diet coke....

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 08:46

On a more serious note, I have an appointment with the child therapist today and am going on my own as I don't think a great deal is being achieved.
I feel a little bit sick.

FrannyandZooey · 18/12/2008 08:51

morning
sorry for insomniacs
am off to the big smoke which is great BUT have horrid lumpy breast (blocked ducts, always get them when over tired) and despite trying all night to clear it, i haven't managed
it makes me feel yucky and fluey as apparently the 'stuck' milk gets reabsorbed into your system and your body doesn't recognise it and reacts as it would a virus
i hate that kind of crawly skin feeling

anyway
hopefully will be able to ignore and maybe shift the lump
a friend told me if you need to feed your baby on a train you can go and sit in first class! she was told this by rail staff on journey last week
not sure i totally approve, i mean i don't think bfing is anything that should be thought of difficult or offensive or embarrassing
but if i can't find a seat or things are not going so well i will definitely take advantage of it
wonder if it works for nursing toddlers?

Sympathies Franny...I hope it doesn't spoil your day.

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 18/12/2008 08:58

sure, but from a comfort point of view alone surely 1st class would be better?

I remember trying to feed DD on a sleazyjet flight. Grim, so much struggling and wriggling and clunking of head on arm-rest in a space the size of a postage stamp.

Having said that, I think trains have roomier seats generally than a postage stamp.

FrannyandZooey · 18/12/2008 08:59

won't it be full of tory businessmen though? don't think i have ever been in 1st class

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 18/12/2008 09:03

even better! They're not reknowned for their love of BFing. One in the eye. As it were.

Depends on what time of day you're travelling too. A friend of mine always takes us 1st class when we go to Londinium and there are rarely people in it. She is Very Important. I guess the Cardiff / Brizzle / Paddington line may be a little more provinicial though

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 18/12/2008 09:04

If you already feel yuck make the most of 1st class I reckon!

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 09:18

Oh I hadn't thought of upsetting business type folks....go for it Franny!!!
I never made a big thing about BFing except when someone made an issue of it.
I had to leave the room for my BIL, even in my own home!
Wouldn't agree now I have a little more confidence.

littlerach · 18/12/2008 10:42

Last time I went on a train to London dh and i sat in first class.

I was pg with dd2, about 7 months gone.

A woman came in, sat beside me and lit a cigarette.

When dh asked her not to smoke, she replied that this was th eonly carriage where she could smoke as she didn't want ot sit in the buffet car, and we should move.

WE had reserved seats (our wedding anniversary) and didn't move - she did though.

I have a whole day to myself

not sure what to do

FrayedKnot · 18/12/2008 13:38

Hello

I'm having my day to myslef too

So far I have trecked for hours around town. I also have a headache.

Never mind!

I have several things to do before i collect DS from school but I may not do any of them

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 18/12/2008 13:45

I have many things to do too whilst DD has her nap. This nap seems to have morphed into 2.5 hours

don't get me wrong, it's brill, but is just too long to get away with doing jack.

I am going to go in the shed and look for my old suede jacket with fluffy collar n cuffs (fnar fnar) for the party tonight.

And then mebbe I will do some vacuuming with a bottle glass of wine

My skin is terrible atm.. very annoying. sore and red and bumpy, normally I have pretty good skin but winter / central heating is not my friend.

FrayedKnot · 18/12/2008 13:55

2.5 hour nap

I remember those

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 18/12/2008 13:58

it's a new development... I was starting to think we would drop the arvo nap, but actually...

SuperBunny · 18/12/2008 14:47

Happy birthday Mr Mango. It's mine on Saturday and Ds has already said, "I'll share your presents with you, ok?" and "will there be cake?" I think he'll be disappointed when he sees that my gift will be M&S knickers.

Blocked ducts are the pits. I always felt so fluey and awful. Enjoy the string thing, Fran. I used to travel first class because it was cheaper than the regular fare it's great because you get a cup of tea and a biscuit

Hope the session goes ok today, mou. Enjoy your day, LR. Did FK sort out her day?

2.5 hr nAPS, WOW. ds never did that.
