For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Guad WELL DONE! on doing the driving! I like that you have numpty man. I hope he does call you a numpty at some point, in the end I kind of liked it.

Evening all

Party tomorrow sounds good. I like fancy dress

On Friday I am off to a Mexican restaurant where apparently dancing on tables is encouraged

I may be hiding underneath it

I am also going out on Saturday night. I don;t think I have been out two nights ina row since I was about 24 [fear]

Come on everyone don;t be ILL! FMF are you taking the one with zinc in it?

Franny the show sounds fab. And sold out

FrayedKnot · 17/12/2008 20:29

Oh well done Pink's DD!

DS was about 2.4 when he stopped wearing nappies, and I always wondered if I should have waited a while, but he was quite keen and could hold his wees for hours. He only goes about 3 times a day. I go about 10 times, so we often have to make loo stops for me when we are out and about, and he doesn;t need to go

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 17/12/2008 20:31

oh this is not fair. You are not allowed to go to funky parties and dancey restaurants!
without me.

My social life to look forward to consists of a child's birthday tea tomorrow, a folk singer and pre concert bite with Dh on fri, accompanying five 11 year olds to cinema on sat, an alcohol-free, sedate solstice party on sat night, a solstice party (with kids) on sunday, a visit to my PILS on monday and tuesday....

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 17/12/2008 20:32

I'm v impressed Pink, our efforts kind of ground to a halt yesterday as DD has diahorrea - not a good start to things !!

TinyWhiteFeather · 17/12/2008 20:33

I'm with you on decking Barney SB..I'll hold him down.
Am thinking of putting glitter in my customers truffle bags so that they have to spend an eternity hoovering the bloody stuff up as well!!

Glad you survived the party Franny. I think you are very brave, those things scare me.
My new dress isn't rudey but with the right accessories has 'saucy' potential. Don't know if I could carry 'rude' off.

Poor you Osba...have some heavily laced rum truffles.

Am sooo busy. I see all my customers this week before christmas and they are lovely.

Ah well back to it,

Hope people having tough times see some improvement soon. [

TinyWhiteFeather · 17/12/2008 20:34

Toooooooot, I always miss you these days on here.....{{hugs}}xx

SuperBunny · 17/12/2008 21:14

Where is Toot? Wasn't today a hospital day?

TinyWhiteFeather · 17/12/2008 22:08

Yes, I think it was SB, it must be very wearing.
Hope you are ok.

TooTicky · 17/12/2008 22:38

BOO!

Haven't read thread, hope all well.

Ds2's vision better than it was before the op but he might need another op in the new year. I am Not Thinking About It.

I went to the huge whizzo wool shop for the first time and have materials for the scarf and also dd2's lion balaclava.

Oh oh I was secret santa-ed again and it was a box of vegan cakes!!!! Can you believe it??? wish I knew who was responsible so I could hug them!!

The thing between my toes is not good. I would pour tea tree oil into it if I had some.

xxxxxxxxxx (unless you're afraid of catching my toe lurgy...)

SuperBunny · 17/12/2008 23:50

Hooray for better eyesight, that's great news. Def don't think about the other part yet.

Your toe lurgy sounds unpleasant. Hope it gets better soon.

Vegan cakes sound yum. How lovely.

SuperBunny · 17/12/2008 23:52

What kind of cakes., Toot? I'm hungry

pinkspottywellies · 17/12/2008 23:56

Hello. I've come to join insomniacs anonymous

My name is Pink and I can't sleep!

SuperBunny · 18/12/2008 00:04

Pink!

Why can;t you sleep

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 00:07

Oh goody, people are up!

Hello .
Wish there was a good wool shop around here Toot.

Sorry about your toe, no helpful advice, but sympathies.
And sorry you can't sleep pink.. for you.

I am in a dilemma, can I ask for some quick advice?

pinkspottywellies · 18/12/2008 00:08

Just not been getting to sleep very easily lately and waking up in the wee hours too. Herd of baby elephants running riot in belly doesn't help! I'm not suffering too badly with the lack of sleep yet (also not had my promised lie ins with dh being off work cause he's been sleeping in ) but I expect it'll catch up with me soon!!

pinkspottywellies · 18/12/2008 00:10

Good news about eye TooT! And wool. I saw some nice crocheted snowflakes today - christmas decs. I thought of you and thought they'd be a nice homemade gifty thing.

Ask away mou. Can I still call you mou?

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 00:15

1/ Someone involved with my website (with whom i get on) has offered me their personal e-mail address and expressed enthusiasm at receiving my e-mails. I feel awful, and have refused, although I like and respect him, it is not something I am comfortable in pursuing. I tried to be honest and kind and hope I have done the right thing, but still feel guilty.
Did I do the right thing?

2/I saw a customer tonight who dropped some ironing off and said something about it being the last load, and I assumed thay meant before christmas. Now I am worried I have offended them or something and they mean the last load altogether. Should I say something and clarify what they meant or would I look a prat, and so assume they just meant before the holiday?
Oh I am so socially clunky, it is unbearable.

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 00:16

Yeah, I like Mou. .

SuperBunny · 18/12/2008 00:19
  1. If you felt uncomfortable then yes, you did the right thing.

  2. Yes, ask for clarification when they pick up. Say, see you next year? Or, 'do you want to continue the same way next year?" or something like that. That;s how all my conversations hacve gne this week

BUT I am clunky

pinkspottywellies · 18/12/2008 00:22
  1. yes sounds like the right thing. Rather that than give wrong message/start something which could be miscontrued/do something you feel uncomfortable with.
  1. Hmm dunno. Just ask if it's bothering you. If you can't bear to say it outright then you'll just have to wait and see if they bring you a load after Christmas. Will it be the end of the world if they leave?
pinkspottywellies · 18/12/2008 00:24

Yes SB's 2 is better. That's not clunky, it's fine.

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 00:30

I would indeed be sad to lose the customer. For many reasons I have good relationships with customers, but this one is one of those people that you just feel enriches your life in some way.

Thank-you, it probably helps talking about it instead of turning it around in my head until I do completely the wrong thing.

Not sending you good scrabble vibes pink...you are beating me anyway!!

SuperBunny · 18/12/2008 00:42

Someone I work for seems to have connedd me into a babysitting swap rather than paying me. Except that I don't really want to swap so I am not sure why I agreed.

TinyWhiteFeather · 18/12/2008 00:50

Difficult to reverse SB, unless you feel you can be direct.
