Ding Dong Broccoli on High - 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Presma

I think an hour there and back for a half hour class might not be financially viable.

Not at your prices anyway. ROFL.

Sorry, I will behave now.

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 19:27

I would much rather come to your class than the presma one, really I would. They are actually very expensive and quite structured. There aren't many relaxed ones about.

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 19:29

I was joking, Franny. You're allowed paper plates at a party

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 19:31

oi oi! my classes are an hour long and until recently i only charged three quid!

mine is VERY relaxed

That's a bargain. Our music classes are supposed to be almost $20 for 45 mins. DS has a 'scholarship' thankfully

pinkspottywellies · 16/12/2008 19:39

I used to pay £3.50 for a 40 min class which half the time only lasted about 30 mins and once (or twice ) only 20 mins. So we stopped going. Now I want to take dd to football but is £4 for 45 mins and just makes me so she's ONLY 2 fgs!! They're only running around.

This thread is brilliant. I just opened it to the message 'Rape away' and again I quote "I do love that cunt is fine on this thread, but cheese is censored"!

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 19:40

"I do love that cunt is fine on this thread, but cheese is censored"

Who said that? Brilliant!

pinkspottywellies · 16/12/2008 19:43

We're going to a party on Friday with soft play, tea/coffee/juice, biscuits, (possibly other food), a present from Santa and music, running around and general mayhem all for £2.75

SB do you always convert in your head (like '$20 that's £x' ) or do you think in dollars now?

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 19:43

ah

well the BABY class is only 50 mins and i do usually let people mill about and make tea for roughly the first 10 mins
and that one has always been £3.50
BUT you do get duchy originals biscuits and a cup of tea

and a party bag

Mangolassi said it on the last thread! I love it!

I've just had a 43 point go on Scrabble. Aside from that I'm getting my arse totally whooped in 4 games Can anyone stupid or without a good grasp of English as thier first language come and play with me?

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 19:51

for the most part, I think in $ now. I still convert temperatures though.

I fit that description PSW, but I can't play your version.

Mmmm Duchy Originals

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 19:52

Where is Mangolassi?

TinyWhiteFeather · 16/12/2008 20:15

Hi, mangolassi pops up on her meditation thread and I think is 'busy'.

Hello all. lovely reading your banter again---warm

SB, I have made vegan stollen before. I think I found the recipe by googling "vegan stollen". It was delicious anyway. I intend to make some this year.

Franny dear, don't chew bones in the yurt, it makes for such revolting dribble. Have some tofu jerky instead.

There is something rather unpleasant happening between two of my toes. It is itchy and it smells
I am Not Thinking About It for tonight.

poinsettia99divine · 16/12/2008 22:58

Oh Franny, I think £1 is a total bargain. A friend and I are organising Christmas party for other friends, and just to cover collective costs it's going to be about £3 - £4

(that will provide:
Mulled wine for parets
Food (mince piese for parents and bits for children and drinks)
tea, coffee, milk etc
Games
Present from Santa
paper plates and napkins

and NO PARTY BAG

If the cost is room hire and clearing up etc that's fine imo

poinsettia99divine · 16/12/2008 23:01

TooT had a message from homoepath, she's sending dose tonight, no further consult etc

Purse

Hello all other veggers

TNM I think you need to concentrate on your own DH, if you have decided you want it to go back to brilliant, that's a brave decision - good for you and good luck

Blueberries
Acai berries [smug emoticon]
carrot
leek
lettuce
peas
OJ

Rats, I thought it was more. I always think its more

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 23:03

Vegan Stollen good idea. I need to take something to a pary of Sunday and I suspect there will be several vegans there

Enjoy the party, Franny.

I have made mince pies and Lebkuchen

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 23:04

to a parTy not a pary. And it's on Saturday not Sunday.

poinsettia99divine · 16/12/2008 23:05

sounds a good idea SB - how "sheepy" were the mince pies
