For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello!

Here you all are! I found you on Monday (new thread) and spent hours catching up and wrote a long message mentioning everyone and all the salient points etc - especially the fact that I think you fed me to a goat at some point over the weekend - and then we had a power cut just as I was about to hit 'post'.

Then I went home and decided to get take out for the first time in a week (have been turning over new, fruity leaf) and got FOOD POISONING Not horrifically bad, but vomiting and 24 hrs of diarrhoea and dd shared dinner with me so she was sick too.

And since then there have been about 300 more posts...

Morning!!

I have decided I don't like my customers anymore and they can't have any of my truffles. (wipes truffly smears from lips and chin)..

Having a 'detox' day today (after all the truffles last night lol).

One of my at home days today, me, music and tranquility...

Christmassy hugs and kisses to all...... xx

TinyWhiteFeather · 17/12/2008 07:38

If you want lovely christmas desktop image, check out 'vlad-studio'... I love his stuff.

I gave my web address to a customer and she is going to put it into the Arts 'network' at the University she works in.....

And if you are looking for inspiration, check out the artwork on a site for a local coffee shop/ delicattessen/ gallery called 'peli-deli'.

TinyWhiteFeather · 17/12/2008 07:49

FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2008 08:09

look all they are getting for the pound is a venue to have the party, and a cup of tea, and maybe a game or two, and me and this other woman to clear up all the crap at the end

but that does cost about a pound each

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 17/12/2008 09:48

Life is too tedious today.

DH broke his car and has taken mine. There is no food in the house. The laptop is buggered. I need to vacuum.

The last whinge is the worst one. Vacuuming is a despicable task.

Oh, and my hair is greasy. And I need to take the morning after pill how teenage.

[vile slattern]

TinyWhiteFeather · 17/12/2008 10:38

Osba, perhaps things will improve....
sighs..I wish I was a vile slattern.

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 17/12/2008 10:49

Oh it's not so bad really, it's just that with no car every sngle job on my list involves walking fighting with DD to get it done. Bah.

I am out of inspiration for dinner. I have a craving for steak..... But doesn't really fit in with my crash pre-xmas diet.

Anyone good with make-up? I am going to a fancy dress party and need 60's advice. I am not good with liquid eyeliner.

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 17/12/2008 11:40

I think you could join my band OB! ''Filthymindedvixen and the Vile Slatterns'' has a certain je ne sais quoi, non?

OK, do bardot style make-up, smoky blurred, rather than precision eye-lined. You need some paler, frosty make up over whole eye area, with dark black/smoky grey over eyelid and under eye (a la Winehouse)
Much better for a vile slattern anyway...

And pale glossy lipstick.

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 17/12/2008 11:40

Lean, grilled steak and salad is ok!

TinyWhiteFeather · 17/12/2008 11:52

Oh god can I join FMV? And can we all dress like elektra and crack whips?

TinyWhiteFeather · 17/12/2008 11:56

one of my christmas presents has just arrived and is going to look fabulous with either dainty whits satin slippers or my new rock boots!! [happy emoticon]

pinkspottywellies · 17/12/2008 12:57

Oh it's gorgeous mou. Just going to read the rest!

poinsettia99divine · 17/12/2008 13:27

Ooo Mou, [dress envy emoticon]

Franny, don't be so stressed re the party, I think £1 is a positive bargain. I suspect they'll be showering you with coins by the end

FMV can I do drums on the band?

Iamagoat heck, I feel nibbled anew....

pinkspottywellies · 17/12/2008 13:48

4 wees on the potty (2 she sat on of her own accord - although I had to intervene as she doesn't pull her pants down yet!) and no accidents

Thanks for putting up with my potty ramblings!!

Banana/satsuma, leek and pot soup. Oh dear.

I have also tried to make coconut ice but overboiled the sugar so I think it's going to have to be broken up into ice cream topping. We don't like it though - it was for Christmas presents. Never mind, I might try again. Also doing fudge and have already made jam and chutney.

Hope the party is wonderful Franny. Tbh I wouldn't expect anything for a pound.

poinsettia99divine · 17/12/2008 15:00

Pink - I am watching potty training with angsty trepidation, DS is 2.6 and I am putting it off!

Add your coconut ice to Mou's truffles and join me in the pit!

Guadalupe · 17/12/2008 16:01

I had a driving lesson with Boco's tutor today. I was very nervous but by the end I felt a bit calmer and less like I haven't driven for four years. He didn't call me a numpty, I must be better than Boco. Mind you, I didn't do anything harder than going round the ringroad, wait till he sees me try to park, I expect some numptying will on then.

I have just eaten a large fairycake with edible pink glitter and stars on. It was very pretty, dd had a lilac one with hearts and there were green ones with other stuff on. I need to find this edible stuff and make my own cakes with it. Other than that I have eaten blue cheese and tomatoes on oat cakes. No fruit. I find fruit much more of a chore iin winter.

FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2008 16:33

I'm BACK
