For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

it is to cover extra hall hire and the trouble of clearing up (which last time took dp nearly 2 hours - if you are wondering why dp did it, i was 7 months pg with spd)
it's only a pound and half the people coming haven't paid yet, so if they don't turn up i will only really cover the cost of the hall

bunny for colds i do steam inhalation (with menthol if you really want to kick the cold's arse) and elder berry extract
sorry you feel stuffy etc

Franny, I may well be being unreasonable. It isn't unknown.

Can you not blow up a couple of balloons?

I don't think I'd be terribly upset if none of those things were there.

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 18:48

Will do steam later, thank you

Anyone know how to make Stollen? I can't find my recipe and am meant to make one tonight. Oops.

Guad, I will have to make my mince pies because the pastry is ready. But they will not be shitty. Oh no.

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 18:52

no we can't do balloons, there's a child who is very scared of them
i will probably do a few games at the end but there won't be prizes or anything, and tbh at the last party, by the time we got the floor cleared of food, so that we could play games, most people had drifted away
the mess was really quite something

i used to do a big old shebang with FC and presents and stuff, but i didn't have a 5 month old then, and i used to charge more than a pound!

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 18:53

i just ate a non-shitty mince pie from t*sco's

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 18:56

Oh no, it is you doing the mince pie and I made a joke about you attending a party with an entrance fee. Sorry. I think for a pound I would expect nothing but a fair smile from your face.

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 18:56

Mince-pie?? I mean party, I was just thinking I fancy a mince-pie.

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 18:57

lol

Party will be fine, Franny. If there was that much mess last year, everybody obviously had a wonderful time even without fancy biscuits and tat.

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 18:58

Stollen recipe anyone? Please

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 19:00

never made it though so can't help really. I don't like it that much.

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 19:03

yes you sarky cow guad
lol at not noticing it was me fleecing everyone hard at work

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 19:05

Sorry. I will come and pay £2.

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 19:05

And I will politely decline my party bag.

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 19:06

ds2 has developed comedy fake cough

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 19:06

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 19:06

there IS NO PARTY BAG

OP posts:
SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 19:07

Thanks guad. I have googled and found similar. Will test it later.

LOL @ DS2

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 19:07
Shock
Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 19:11

What will you do when they leave? There might be this dreadful expectant milling around and people will say 'bye then' three times and admire the architrave before reluctantly leaving with a raised brow and an eye on the pot full of pounds.

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 19:17

LOL
I will chase them out with a broom
half the children are under 2, they are NOT going to be expecting a party
it's a work thing guad! it isn't at my house or anything

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 19:19

oops

party BAG I mean

ooh you are naughty veggers
god you're all high maintenance
balloons and tat and crafts and nice biscuits and party bags for a POUND

i have spent £6 on paper plates to avoid washing the fucking things

there now no-one will speak to me as I am raping the rainforests

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 19:19

I know. I am being mean.

I wish I lived closer, I would like to take ds2 to exactly the sort of things you lay on. There is a Presma class happening somewhere but I haven't looked into it properly yet.

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 19:21

Rape away. I took paper plates camping this year, dh was very embarrased. They were left over from our wedding though, and I did wipe some of them.

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 19:23

wot is presma?

can;t you commute to come to my classes?
i do have someone coming from sudbury sure start actually! she has to set up treasure basket group and is going to come and check me out
