For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Is this by e-mail or in person?

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 17:08

Fmv! I am scarred from the stress.

thenewme · 16/12/2008 17:13

on the phone

Boco · 16/12/2008 17:14

Has all contact so far been through email then? Have you actually spoken? You know meeting in person, after 15 years, things could be totally different. It sounds to me like you must concentrate on your relationship with dh first and figure out what's going on there.

TooTicky · 16/12/2008 17:15

So, a purse or a scarf. Or both? No, I only have until Friday. And have to take ds2 to hosp tomorrow so can't get to wool shop

thenewme · 16/12/2008 17:15

We started emailing a few days ago and today we texted and he phoned me.

TooTicky · 16/12/2008 17:16

Actually, there is a whizzo wool shop in Bristol

thenewme · 16/12/2008 17:16

I fully intend to make my marriage back to how brilliant it was before this.

I wish there could be a way to have OM as a friend but it has been proved to me today that we can never be just friends.

Boco · 16/12/2008 17:22

Right, well that's good, sounds like you have the answer. Sorry it's so painful, but it's good that you know what you want and what to do.

thenewme · 16/12/2008 17:23

I just want to cry.

Missed chances because of other people interfering and I guess a bit of pride got in the way.

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 16/12/2008 17:38

Is there TooT? Where?

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 17:42

A scarf, toot, if you have the yarn. Or can get to the wool shop.

Sorry it's so complicated and upsetting, newme.

What do veggers do when they have a cold? I could really do with my nose not running quite so much and my head feeling all stuffy. Other than F&V & OJ, what can I do? Or do I just have to continue to grin and bear it.

Blueberries
Broccoli
Green Beans
Red Cabbage
Banana
Juice

Six, hooray!

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 16/12/2008 17:54

watercress
toms
onion

about 4

oh dear. No dinner yet though.

I am meeting a friend at the Thali place... she only wants to get a cuppa though as v skint. I could eat there every day of the week, and would do if I could get DH on board. Ah well. More watercress soup when I get in I guess.

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 16/12/2008 17:55

I like LittleR's idea of a tree decoration or something. I wish we had some non-round, home made interesting decorations. I suspect this is childrens real purpose in life though and won't have long to wait

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 18:02

evening all, blimey life seems to be passing me by in a bit of an unsatisfactory blur atm
that'll be the sleep deprivation, then
massive work party tomorrow - have done NOTHING sensible for it
if you went to a group and paid a pound for a party and were asked to bring a plate of food, would you expect anything to HAPPEN?
I mean wou;ld you expect to get something for your pound or just to be at the party eating food etc?

nest year OB, make some salt dough and your tree will be filled with glittery mis-shapes for years afterwards

I want a sulking emoticom. I have to go and work now.

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 18:22

OB, I have some fabulous homemade tree decorations. We wrapped green yarn round our hands then stuck a lolly stick up the middle and glued it on so it looks vagule like a tree. Then we drizzled glue all over each side and drunked them in glitter. We had great fun making them and they look shite very homemade and we are very proud of them. We never had homemade things on our tree when I was growing up because my mum wanted the tree to look nice

If I had to pay a pound for a paryt I would expect balloons and treats or fancy biscuits or something and maybe even a bit of tat for DS or a craft activity to make said tat. But I might have high expectations.

Why are you working at night, FMF?

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 18:22

newme - I don't think you can know that it's not fantasty/nostalgia when you haven't met in person for fifteen years. Also, it doesn't help to think of it as a missed chance if you want your marriage to be as brilliant as it was before this. I am glad you have come to a conclusion and know what to do now.

Franny - I don't think I have been to a party with a one pound entrance fee so I can't help you.

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 16/12/2008 18:24

I have to run volunteer support meeting/social event.

Will involve shitty cheap mince pies and a lot of fixed grinning....

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 18:26

Sounds great fun, FMF. Enjoy!

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 18:26

There's something about the expression 'shitty mince pies' that makes me think of the rear ened of a sheep. Mmm, sheepy cling-ons.

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 18:30

Guad

SuperBunny · 16/12/2008 18:30

I was going to make mince pies this afternoon.

Guadalupe · 16/12/2008 18:31

and will you still?

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2008 18:41

"If I had to pay a pound for a paryt I would expect balloons and treats or fancy biscuits or something and maybe even a bit of tat for DS or a craft activity to make said tat"
