For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

agree avi re car seat cover - I have had a lot of quite surprising things survive accidental 60° washes.

Vinegar is also an extremely efficient natural disinfectant.

I think my very worst nightmare may just have happened. I think I am about to be shipped back to the UK without DS. Permanently. Shit.

womblingalong · 26/05/2008 22:22

What's happened UR?

berolina · 26/05/2008 22:23

UR?

womblingalong · 26/05/2008 22:23

Thanks Franny and 100x. Am cautiously dipping my toe into the water, in a v confused fashion, obv.

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 22:23

FK we are going to try to wash my one, but I think it will not survive tbh, so will let you know
how come you might be coming near? could you drop in? that's exciting...

Bero thanks, a friend has lent me a beany one and tbh it befuddles me

dp swears the clothes are all ok
we are going to wash them all anyway
we have sorted things out between the 2 of us and are not upsetting each other any more I don't think

yes we do always take shoes off btw! well I do and I try to get the boys to
I read something about the vast proportion of household contaminants (eg considering all the nasty shit you have in your house like pesticides on veg, chemicals in cleaning products and so on) being brought in on shoes, things like DDT and so on which have been banned for years and years, are still in dirt on the streets and are brought into our houses every day on shoes

yes will wash at 60 deg
even if man from council says 40 dp has great faith in man from council
the same man who went up in our loft put some poison down in completely the wrong part and said well that has fixed it

I can't type much on here (legal reasons) - I don't have a visa to stay more than a few weeks. But they are saying DS will have to stay here with his Dad.

UnderRated · 26/05/2008 22:30

I have a big meeting tomorrow but unless a miracle happpens I will have to leave.

Please keep talking about mice and council men. I'm sorry for butting in.

womblingalong · 26/05/2008 22:31

Oh fuck UR for you!

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 22:32

at butting in
shhh that kind of talk

is there a way to get a visa? any way at all
I know NOTHING about this kind of thing
have you got a decent solicitor

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 26/05/2008 22:33

But why can't you take him with you?

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 22:34

I am sorry you probably can't explain it as you have said, for legal reasons
it beggars belief that things like this can happen
what kind of miracle could there be? is there something specific that could happen? or do you just mean there is no other way things can work out

OP posts:
berolina · 26/05/2008 22:34

UR can they really, really do this? Is your ds British?

womblingalong · 26/05/2008 22:34

UR, who has custody? You or exp?

UnderRated · 26/05/2008 22:34

He's a US citizen - his Dad will stay here, where DS is settled. I can't.

I have lawyers. And $10,000s debt because of it. And I won't even have my baby to show for it.

is his dad amicable towards you?
surely he can't want this to happen to his son? or does that make no difference?
