For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello.

Shall I talk f&v?

I have been stealing my dcs fruit, so mangled grapes, rejected apple, escaped dried blueberries and I did mkae that banana bread.

Also had veggy soup and salad.

Possibly on 7?

Feelinglazy again though so no exercise for me.

Hmmm - this new thread has a distinctly GM-modified vibe to it. And zucchini? Are you eating American courgettes? Do you have no regard for your carbon footprints?

FrannyandZooey · 01/04/2008 22:14

SLUR is behaving herself
the rest of you should be ashamed

SLUR did you drop that?

No no, you can get yellow ones. But an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot courgette ?

TooTicky · 01/04/2008 22:17

Good night Franny, oh worshipful one

pinkspottywellies · 01/04/2008 22:17

I've just had half a banana and I'm eating some tiffin which has raisins in it. It also has slightly lavender scented chocolate on top due to storage issues with the lavender for baking Do I get 10/10 points for eating lavender?

LarryVeestAdamAntSpawnChorus · 01/04/2008 22:19

Actually you're probably right. If I were to grow courgettes they would be withered and disease-ridden like the rest of my patch, so an itsy bitsy teeny weeny spotted one is not entirely unfeasible.

Still don't fancy eating it though.

LilyMunster · 01/04/2008 22:22

wocha veglovers

i come in peace.

i am far too crap to have kept up the 10/10 thing... but today i have mostly been planting vegetables and fruit, so i thought id tip me hat in your direction.

howdy.
